Just wanted to see what accessories people use. I use the seidio innocase surface II, stock battery and screen protectors from Verizon

black snap on case from best buy platinum which is just like seidio innocase and great anti glare screen protectors from amazon...also, does liquid thundersense v1.0 count as an accessory?
Platinum Series case from Best Buy. Awesome fit, comes with a quality snap-in holster. It's much higher quality than the Verizon accessory that I used on my Incredible. I'm just stuck on the whole car mount topic now. I don't know what to do.
Oh, and I'm using the screen protectors they shipped with my phone (Verizon).
Nekked - no case. C'mon people, just be careful with it. Of all the phones I have had the cases have served no purpose other to get crud underneath and scratch the phone up.
Car dock rocks - permanently mounted with all connections hardwired behind the dash. Nekked means no fussing with a case.
Desktop dock - charges while I am at work, automagically loads up disk drive access, and has slot to charge my 2nd battery.
Motorola S305 BT headphones - perfect for the gym, no wires to get in the way!
Rocking naked with an extended battery and a ProClipUSA mount for my car.
I want to pick up the desk dock at some point for work, but don't really need it because of the extended battery.

I respect your opinion and wanting a nice clean phone the way it was designed to be used, but when I had an Evo I had other people knock it off my desk, knock it out of my hand, sit on it, etc. and I'd rather protect it from external dangers than my own carelessness. You never know when you might be walking down the street and someone bumps into you (this happens occasionally in Chicago).
So, I use a $7 TPU case (rubber/plastic/gel material) and a $1 screen protector, both from Amazon.

Its here, but seems the seller is taking advantage of demand. I paid $25 inc shipping, no way would I pay any more. it looks like he has relisted them for $40+ Don't get me wrong - it serves my purposes perfectly, but it is not good for watching video because the phone is held completely vertical with no angle - so I would not expect it to be as nice (or as pricey) as the HTC dock that is forthcoming. That being said, the HTC dock is going to be $60!

Just realized that sounded a bit condescending - not my intent, sorry!
I understand the cases I guess, I just have personally never had a need. Keep it in my pocket and in the past the cases have done more damage than they have prevented. Never been a fan of the screen protectors either.
I use a screen protector because I like my screen nice haha.
Anyone using the extended battery? Is it worth the money?

I am using the extended battery and I love it. I am overclocked to 1.4 and with moderate to heavy usage, the battery is around 15-20% when I get ready to fall asleep. I use it from 6:30am to 11:00pm.
Before the extended, I would have to charge it by 1 or 2pm even with brightness low, sync set moderately and the stock kernel and 4G off.

There was one custom one floating around which I saw on ebay, but i read that it covers the front camera, and some people had problems pressing the buttons.

Ya its a pain in the ass to find anything for the aftermarket battery's and doors I ordered a silicone one to help protect my phone just sold my ballistic case sucks cause no holster for the extended batteyr unless u spent 60 on a seidio batt and there gear which is over priced Chinese battery's work just the same if not the same thing my OEM battery from sprint was made in China hope more cases come out so we are not forced to by from one company.

I have a silicon case that I am planning to make two cuts in with a razor which will fit over the extended battery. If only I ever used my extended battery...
The seidio big rugged yada yada yada case works with the chinese extended batteries you just leave the back off your phone. The camera is exposed but its always exposed and the case sits close enough that the battery doesn't fall out.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
P.s. its not really called the yada yada yada I just don't remember its exact name. It comes in four pieces: back, skin, part that snaps over/around skin, and holster. I know thats a lot of technical terms but it gives you the idea.

I just bought this yesterday and seemed to be the best price for what you get. The only thing is that they shipped the 80 something cents screen protectors first WTF. I wanted the 80 something dollars worth of cases first. lol Still feel good about this investment.
You can modify the ballistic hc to fit the extended batteries, theres a thread around here somewhere.

I modified the Ballist HC but its a lot of work and you risk damaging it. Also I have the Seidio ext rugged and like it. Its built better than the standard rugged and I don't have a problem using the notifications menu bar like I do with the Ballistic. I don't care for the Seidio holster though. Rick
I modified my ballistic as well but the sanding and grinding was more complicated than I thought so I just cut a hole in the back to fit the battery door and I can use my stock kickstand and it looks good with the silicon/ rubber case on top of it. I prefer the seidio locking clip to the ballistic, it gives me more security when I lock the phone in it, I wish the ballist had this.

My issue with the seidio holster is if you have a jacket etc. on it gets caught on the top clip of the holster. Hey there's another reason to move to a warm climate, ha-ha
P.S. good idea with cutting through the back, that would allow me to use the 3500 battery instead of the sprint 2600
Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a case for the standard HTC battery for the TB? Because of the poor battery life, I have two standard batteries (the large capacity battery is too big for my jeans pockets). But I do need to need something to hold the spare in as the original package is falling apart. I was initially thinking of something like one of those plastic SD card cases...??
Use a cassette holder.
I cut and glued a Tyvek envelope and made a little pouch for mine. It's durable and low profile, easily slipping in and out of pockets. Are you looking for more padding?

Actually makes me run faster... Until it's dead of course than Im back to my normal sluggish self.
I had the same problem and I found a small velvet dice pouch on amazon lol that worked out perfect for my 2 spare batteries and enough room for a small screen wiper. Won't let me post the link but you can search for Medium Velvet Pouch on amazon should pop up.
I use one of those SanDisk zippered pouches designed to hold Compact Flash memory cards.
Two spare batteries fit perfectly inside and it even has a key ring if you don't want it in your pocket.
I've seen them for sale on Overstock dot com if you want to see what they look like.
I use a small business card wallet thing I found laying around the house. Fake leather W/2 pockets.
Actually, I went to the Container Store. They had the perfect case! $1.49. Now my spare is safe
I'm joining the spare battery club - just ordered an OEM battery. Are you guys worried about the battery door wearing down slowly each time you take it off?

They're on eBay right now for ~$22. They'll be less than $10 in a month or two. Not expensive enough to worry about, imho.
Anyone have any experience with these Power-Skin cases.
Was wondering if it had a built in screen protector like an otterbox does, and how well it actually works. Looks like a good case, but was hoping someone could give some actual feedback before shelling out the 50 bucks for one.

I just ordered one. I got $5 off by using the code POWERUP2
initial review
I just received the Powerskin. I ordered from Amazon and got it today.
When it is done charging and I have used it for 24+ hours, I will post some results on battery life.
It is nicely designed, but it is bulky. I have large hands, and it feels big in them. It feels much larger than the HTC extended battery.
The case is a smooth rubber silicone. The bolt's power button is covered but completely recessed. It is not difficult to press, but is difficult to locate blind. Poor design here.
I took some pictures and there is no shadowing effect from the case.
There are two ports on either end where the kickstand is. I assume this is for sound to escape. There was a noticeable drop-off in volume when the bolt was in the case. If you use the loudspeaker often, this might be an issue.
I immediately missed the kickstand, as I use it often.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Oh hell no that's too bulky. For that bulkiness just get the 4500mAh battery. Just cost a little more. Extended battery is good enough

After 3 days of use, I can say the battery life is good, but equivalent to the HTC extended battery.
It is going back. I will stick with the extended battery.
I agree. I like the convenience of being able to take it off if I want to just carry the slim phone. But it's not worth the fact that the skin makes the phone look and feel huge. I'll deal with having to keep around the spare battery and cover if I want to swap out for the thinner phone.

I would say no. I got the same case for my girlfriend for her S3 without reading the reviews.
It does protect the phone, but the rubber for the outside gets stretched out and doesn't fit the plastic part anymore. It happened within a month of putting it on. You can get it replaced under warranty, but I'd rather not do a warranty claim every month.
Check out the Ballistics case. I own it and love it.
I'd post the URL but I'm prevented from doing so until 10 posts. It's easy to Google though.
It all depends on what you need. If you need something that can withstand just about anything, yes, because neither trident nor ballistic will make their touch case for the n2. Otherwise, you could probably go with something else

I used the Defender case on a few of my phones...tuff as nails is a good saying for them and offer a over abundance of protection if you really need that much for day to day usage...I never had a issue with them stretching out and needing a replacement...but I wasn't constantly pulling them off to do battery pulls either.I did wear out some of the rubber ports and had a replacement on that cause though..
On the defender..the screen protector didn't fair well enough for me though..and had the tendency to be a dust magnet underneath it on mine and using the S-pen..I don't know how well they will do...just something to keep in mind.
Last thoughts ...is the all the extra bulk added to a already large mobile device as our Note II's are...which is the main reason I choose to go back to the best case I ever used IMHO...which is the Seidio Surface case with belt clip.I ordered mine directly from the company..but..Best Buy will be selling the non-kickstand version under their Pt branding..and most should have them in stock for the holidays...
If you have never used one of these cases before...I would give some time for places to get them in-stock so you can go put one on and see for yourself if it will work for you or not...you may not like the size or how they fit on your Note...

Like I said...I feel the Seidio Surface case is the best one out there..In my job...I've dropped mine already (4 feet)..have banged it hard on ladders and other equipment..and it is still perfect..
My Pt case (Best Buy branded Seidio Surface case) I used on my Captivate has taken even rougher treatment over the 2 years I've had it and has not failed..so I'm pretty sold on the Seidio Surface line for all types of bumps & bruises a phone gets on my hip...They aren't water proof...and if you need something for water issues these won't work...but for everything except that and a full onslaught against the screen...they have performed above my expectations of a case and give good gripping while being fairly thin feeling..
Buy a good screen protector like the anti glare/smudge that AT&T stores sell (iFrogz)...and you will have a damn good protection package that looks great too..The Pt case when in stock at Best Buy is about $20 cheaper.

I have the Seidio Surface with the holster. I posted where I dropped it at least 40 feet at a high schoolgame with son and the case did its job

I'm currently using the Mophie juice pack but for work I really need the kickstand so the i-Blason is more practical for me and the cheaper price helps.
So for now I'm using Best Buy's no hassle return policy to play around with the mophie case but im leaning towards getting the i-Blason.

I just notice the i-Blason case has an output of 5V/500mA vs the Mophie case 5v1.5amp....I see that as a problem.
So did anyone get their case yet? I'm looking forward to some pictures and some reviews.

I just received mine and I am getting continual charging/not charging status change. Charges for half a second, disconnects for half a second, etc etc etc. Also, the flash does not work when the case is on.
Anyone else have these problems?
I'm VERY disappointed with this piece of crap case. It's bigger than the Mophie, heavier than the Mophie, has cutout issues, and the thing is slipperier than a bar of soap. The power button is hard to press and especially to hold as the plastic is too thick and the button has no raised cover to bring it up. ACK.
GAH.
PHBBBBBBTTTTPPPPTPTTTT. Wah-wah-waaaaaah.
edit:
Also it drains in about two hours.
YES...This case is a "No Go". Dont waste tou time. I Just got one of these and it will give me Two FULL charges. and is small.

Also the company just sent me what is perhaps the most rude and outright hostile reply to my return request that I have ever received from a company. And the first time I have been accused of fraud in a service ticket. Although to be fair, requesting $65 in exchange for this POS is borderline dishonesty even as a return.
