I just purchased and accessory package from Gizmodorks eBay store that included a Dual Pocket Laptop Carrying Case for the Motorola Xoom Tablet, and a Motorola Xoom Soft Silicone Skin Cover Case.
ALL FOR $16.99!!! PLUS FREE SHIPPING!!
They are made from great quality materials.
The Case has a little extra space but the Xoom fits great inside. And with a front pocket to fit some accessories. I have my home charger, car charger, and sync cable stashed inside the pocket and fits really great.
I had some doubts about the silicone case though. I was expecting the cutouts would have been off but they are dead on. Another great quality silicone case. Its also a rubberized silicone so it feels great in the hands and it's really easy to grip.
Here are some pictures of the products:

hmmm looks good! nice!
Thanks for the tip, just ordered a black silicone case from them for about $7. Also got one of their $3 screen protectors too, better than nothing I suppose, lol.
Just ordered a black silicon case, black neoprene case bag & 2 screen protectors. $30 out the door with free shipping. If its decent stuff this is awesome.

Ok, my order just arrived, here are my initial impressions:
Black silicone case:
As expected, generic Chinese case, lol. It fits decent and has a nice rubber feel to it. There are a few small nicks & scrapes here and there, and it's a little loose near the volume buttons though. And as with most silicone cases, a dust magnet. But for a $7 case, it's not bad. Fits perfect in my dock with the alternate sized fitting.
"No scratch" screen film:
I didn't put it on yet, and not sure if I will, because it's matte - and I hate matte, lol. Didn't say anything about it being a matte surface on their web site! I'll probably just try it for the heck of it anyways. At least it was only $3.
Bottom line, you get what you pay for. They are decent accessories and will do the job, but by no means top notch. It's what I expected though, so not disappointed.
Update: Was just at my Verizon store and they had the official Motorola silicone case on sale for $18, so I picked it up. Sorry, but it blows away the Gizmodork one, 100x better. Definitely get what you pay for.

So, is there any new cases coming out from popular brands other than Otterbox?
I used this one from swiss army and it fits the captivate perfectly.

Yeah... I really wish Speck made cases for the Captivate.

BUMP! May be something new coming up?
otterbox released their impact series case.. but no defender as of yet
Incipio just came out with a case for the captivate. I have one of their hard cases for my Zune HD and am very happy with the quality. I'm tempted to pick up one for my Captivate. Right now I'm using an Invisibleshield but wouldn't mind a little more protection.
I just got the Otterbox Impact case for the Captivate not ten minutes ago in the mail. Shipping was ok, I ordered it last Thursday. Seems really solid and thick enough that it could take a decent impact or drop. I like it so far but the increase in size will have to grow on me. It's not a ridiculous increase, puts it about to the size of a 3GS iPhone really. Other than that it comes with a screen protector and has a good feel in your hands. I got it for right under $18.00 with shipping using the coupon code "tb1010y".
Check this and this. These look pretty solid, and are very reasonably-priced!

Bought this case in the mall at a kiosk.
http://store.mybat.com/smoke-argyle-candy-skin-cover-18120.html
1. That design, barely visible. It's actually A LOT darker case. Especially when on the phone.
2. It's thick flexible plastic. Hard Gel-like. Not a rubber skin that gets caught up in your pocket.
3. It's the exact same shape as the phone. A true "skin'.
4. Light. Adds almost no additional weight to the phone.

I have that same case, only in green. I agree with your assessments, it really is a great case. I am curious about the Otterbox cases though, have never used them before.

IDK about the first one, but the snap on case isn't that good. I have the black version. The snaps are broken in several spots, the case opens itself when dropped (what good is that?), and occasionally when pulling out of my pocket the case is literally falling off.
YMMV, but if I had to do it again, I'd avoid the Amzer rubberized snap on case at all costs.
Body Glove TPU case is all you need.
Mini-Review
Body Glove Dimensions Case from AT&T store. Retail is $30 but you can get it for around $20 online or around $20 if they are nice enough to give you a discount at the store..
The feel is a bit slippery but not as slippery as the phone with no case you can grip this with a solid firm grip on the sides and it has a feel like you won't drop it. The softness is not soft but not hard. I would say it's in between soft and hard.
It doesn't attract link/dust so no need to worry about that. The only color I have seen so far is gray. As for the ports - The opening for the usb connection is nice. I can still plug my logitech cable into it and that's a largely sized cable that charges my G700. That's the cable I use for my pc when the mouse isn't charging. The power/volume rocker holes are nice too. I don't like case that cover the actual buttons and this feels similar to the Incipio feather case openings imo.
On to the pics.

How's the fit? Is it tight all around, do the edges bow out?

Nice tight fit. The edges don't bow at all. It's really a solid all around case.
I too bought this case and like the Body Glove I had for my Captivate it fits pretty good and is really tight on the phone. I tried several cases on at the AT&T store and this one seems to keep the phone the slimist while protecting all the edges of the phone.

that's what she said...
I also had a Body Glove on my Captivate and loved it. However, the Body Glove for the GS3 is not the same. It's thinner and a bit harder. Also, it tends to lift the edges of my screen protector.
I have this case and two of the cheaper fosman/cimo s-line type cases and this feels way better and slimmer. This one is just 5 times the price... but worth it.

I also purchased the Body Glove case for my Galaxy S3 and man Im loving it. Very tight fit and protects the phone nicely. I love the fact that the volume, on/off buttons are open and not covered by the case.
I also got another one, the Case-Mate barely there case, but I like the Body Glove material better.
Got the Body Glove for $19.99 and Case-mate for $24.9 here http://smartphonepedia.com/samsung-galaxy-s3-accessories/accessories/cases.html

I did a mini review on the case mate too. I got the brushed aluminum one though. Both are nice cases.
Picked up the body glove dimensions tpu case in grey for $20 from Smartphonepedia. Shipping was quick and no issues with the order. This is my third case. The other two are the Incipio Feather and the Incipio Silicrylic. If you're looking for a TPU case with open cut outs, good fit, excellent grip and a decent raised lip on the face of the phone, this is a good choice.
I don't use a screen protector so can't comment on how it might interfere. The grip on the sides is the best I have seen on a case, it seems they really gave some thought to this design.
The feather is by far the best as far as feel goes but provides not much drop protection for the front, top or bottom.
I just got my amCASE hybrid case and I'm quite pleased with it! First time buying an amCASE case but definitely won't be my last time.

One thing I like to see with packaging is when its kept to a minimum. It's more eco-friendly and it keeps cost down for the manufacturer and consumer. We don't need a flashy package do we? They spend the money were it belongs, on the product!
Build Quality/Design
The build quality seems to be high. No rough corners, sharp edges or defects. All lines are clean and well made. It does have a white "amCASE" logo on the back that doesn't seem to quite fit with everything else but it's not too noticeable or distracting. They went with a two tone two material hybrid design. The back is a harder frosted plastic while the sides are a glossy tpu rubber material. It transitions from on material to the other seemlessly.
The frosted back is transparent but gives a smoked/blurry effect when looking through it. Which I kinda like; sort of artsy don't you say?
All cutouts seem to be perfectly aligned. No ports are covered. I like how they went with a big cutout for the micro usb port so we can use any micro usb cable to charge our phones. Also the cutout for the headphone jack is decently big. Would like it to be a tad bigger so ANY headphone plug can be used but it looks like most if not all plugs would be okay with this case. I hate it when a cases headphone cutout is too small to use with your headphones but that wasn't the case with this one.
The "buttons" on the case to simulate where the actually buttons are of not the best quality but definitely not the worst I've seen on tpu cases. Finding the buttons in pocket wasn't a problem as it has a good feel to them. Pressing them was good also. I never felt like I had to exert too much effort to get the button press to register with the phone.
It's also worth mentioning that the edges are raised to prevent scratching the phone when placing it face down on a table.
It's not the slimmest nor the bulkiest but a good compromise between the two. It won't protect your phone from a drop 2 stories up but it will provide good protection all the way around your phone for those minor drops we all have.

phew; just dropped my phone and the case protected it like a champ!
Have same case.
Great hybrid case if you are into TPU feel.
Pros:
- Precise cutouts
- USB cutout works with larger samsung cable
- Not slippery, comparing with YESOO Ultra slim Frosted http://amzn.com/B00GG2KWZY
- Just a tiny bit bulkier then YESOO Ultra slim Frosted
- Great (read tight, but not over tight) fit
Cons:
- Power button became not responsive, it works, but you cannot feel the click, I might just get exacto knife and remove it from case.
- Glossy sides, I would prefer matte, but it's personal design preference
Conclusion:
I would definitely recommend this case if you like TPU feel of the sides and don't mind glossy black sides.
All in all a lot more protection from the rubbery sides!
Doing a giveaway now! Read the review and the rules are there! Ends in 1 week. Merry Christmas!
Wooot I need to order me a case soon lol

Slim Hard Case with Built-In Screen Protector (comparable to Otterbox Defender Series)

The Long Version
I ordered mine off of Amazon (for about $15 less than what Trident sells it for). I was under the impression that my product would be manufactured in the USA, given that Trident makes a big deal about that on their website. It came in Trident-branded retail packaging, but was clearly labeled "Made In China" on the back.
The case is a thin TPU, surrounded by a hardened silicone border (with reinforced corners). The frame for the top is hard plastic (TPU?), and comes with a glued-in plastic screen protector. Once in the case, the phone is exactly the same size as the Galaxy S4, only slightly thicker. The screen is still manageable, and the heft is not too outrageous, considering that it probably offers a decent amount of protection.
Pros
Reinforced corners
Rigid support
Easy to install
Buttons become larger and clickier
Screen protector does not cover the proximity sensor
Microphone and USB port covers
Dust filter for the speaker grill
Physical design is much more attractive and less bulky than what you'd find with an Otterbox case
Cons
So long, Moto Maker design...
The top portion of my case would not seal / seat properly (defective design?)
The silicone (as expected) grips to cloth
You lose the beautiful industrial design of the Moto X in a bulkier case
The port cover flaps are a little annoying to work around (and don't insert securely enough for my preference)
The case is difficult to remove (but much easier to remove than the Otterbox Defender)
Build materials are not as high-end as those found in an Otterbox case
Summary
I contacted Trident, asking if this case has any known manufacturing flaws, in regards to the top portion of the case being off in their measurements. To describe the problem: on the left and right of the headphone jack flap, there are two tabs that are meant to lock into the top portion of the case. Mine do not lock, and there is a large gap between the case and the phone. If you touch the top portion of the case, it makes a displeasing clicking sound. The answer I got back was, "Oh, sorry your case isn't working out. We can RMA it." But then, I don't want to continue sending in the case, only to receive similarly defective units. Basically, I worry that in a hard spill, not having that top portion of the case secured shut, could send your phone flying.
If you could try this case out in a store, and it fits perfectly, I'd say that it's a great case for someone who is worried about a hard drop, but finds the Otterbox Defender to be comically large and ugly. This case is actually surprisingly slim, given the protection it offers. So if it all worked as it should, I would be keeping it. But seeing that the snaps are not only off in measurement - but also - seem like they are structurally inefficient, I'm going to assume that this is simply a design flaw. Perhaps they designed the case without having access to the device?
I might try grabbing a second one. I'm unsure, though. Has anyone else used this case at all?

I just got the Trident Kraken AMS last night as an early Xmas gift. Ive had very good results with Trident products in the past and this case is solid. On the Kraken the front is the same as Cyclops but its a 3 piece rather than 2 and bulkier. Its not a daily use case though, I have a bike mount system for mountain biking. If you don't mind the extra bulk get the Kraken. My daily case is a TPU.
Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk
The price of Otterbox brand cases was always a huge turnoff as was the size. I didn't want my slim One having additional bulk---at least any more than was necessary. Enter Commuter series.
The case is comprised if two pieces; soft rubber interior case and hard plastic exterior that protects the back, sides, and the bottom/top of the phone. The inner case has soft plastic nubs that cover both the charging port and headphone jack. IR blaster is exposed as are the bottom Mic, rear Mic and camera. Volume manipulation is easier with this case as the soft plastic raises the button height. Feels decidedly sturdy and premium. Fits well but does take some time to get the outer case to snug up to the inner case. Comes with screen protector though I haven't and will not install it.
In hand the case feels sturdy without the additional bulk associated with Otter Box cases. Grip is much improved over going caseless, and as stated earlier it's much easier to manipulate the volume.
Protection wise it seems to offer what you would think an Otterbox would offer. Corner impacts are absorbed by the soft plastic interior case, and the screen won't touch the surface you lay it on because the screen is recessed a few milimeters due to the case design. It's also nice that both ports have covers installed to keep debris from entering them. Only gripe on that point is one handed operation to plug in the usb cord and headphone jack is tricky but doable.
The good thing about this case aside form the protection is the fairly slim profile and the ease of going in and out of your pocket. Both pieces of the case are hard and slick enough to not snag up going in and out of your jean pockets.
The only real complaint that I have is how hot the phone seems to get during gaming. Though it's a phone issue and admittadly the plastic never feels as hot as the phone felt caseless.
If you are looking for a case that offers great protection while still maintaining a slim profile; this case is ideal. A little pricey, though (35 USD @ Sprint Store)

I've had this case since the second week of having my one. I initially had bought the incipio dualpro shine, but it made my signal go in the toilet, even though the package said it wouldn't affect it... Signal issues aside, the commuter is a much better case. The port covers and shape of the IR blaster cutout are the winning features.
5 Stars Case!
I had this case after 3 weeks Using my one..Its been almost 8months now and my One fell down so many times. And still working great..Protection is great and the look is great.I have nothing to complain about this case..
Love the commuter case on any phone that I had it on but when I got my One I thought it made the phone feel a little wider than usual so I ended up going with another case but my fiance got it cause she has the case of the drops and it has taken a beating and keeps on ticking.
