Waterproof Case? - Xoom Accessories

Anyone know of a waterproof case for the Xoom? I want to be able to use outdoor and not have to worry about lite rain. I realize this is challenging with touch screen.

Toughest case for e4gt

So im about to start snowboarding this year and i will be using my phone on the mountain for both texts and music. I dont want to ruin my day by landing on my phone and trashing it so i would like a few recommendations of cases that could hold up to the impact of me falling on it, whether that be off of a jump, doing jibs, or going off of a few cliffs.
Thanks in advance!

I would say Ballistic. The only weak point I see is no holster to protect a screen. In normal conditions screen should be protected, but in your situation rock or something will still hit the screen.
I am usually pretty careful to turn the screen towards my body in all cases as a precaution. Also bulk is no issue as a will only be using it for snowboarding purposes, i have a barely there for every day use. What i would like however is something that will actually come on and off since i will switch cases back and forth

If a holster is needed to attach to a bag or something the siedio convert may fit the bill

Sounds like the Seidio Convert would be perfect for you. You can use the Surface case for your everyday use, then throw the outer skin and skeleton on when you need it. The Convert also has port covers, which the Ballistic SG does not have.

I have a ballistic and it works wonders and is a two piece case.

Ballistic is great so far for me.
How is the grip on the ballistic? I want something that I'm not afraid to drop on the lift from it being too slippery.

I think it is individual. If you have big hands you'll be OK. You have to stop by corporate Sprint store, and ask'em to show it to you. It is what I did this weekend, and after that I went back home and ordered it on ebay. Still waiting.

Suggestions for a holster??

So right now I'm running the Verizon case/holster combo. However, I want to switch to the best skins ever skin. The only problem with that is I like having a holster to use on my waist. Also, I'm sure the BSE would gather lint easier in my pocket. So what should I do, or use in combo with my BSE?

Spigen Neo Hybrid case

I really like the Neo Hybrid case by Spigen. Unfortunately, they don't make it for the One. I know some companies have in the past began to make cases when people have shown enough interest. I'm just curious how much, if any interest there is in this case for One. Perhaps if we could get enough people asking on their website or facebook, they might offer it for the One.

Highly doubt a polycarbonate band the width of our phones would be enough to comfortably hold the tpu they use in place
I'm sure they could find a way. The S3 didn't really have much of a bezel and they made it work for that phone.

Anyone using Ghost Armor?

I really like the feel of the Nexus when it's naked but I want at least some minimal amount of protection. I own a Spigen slim fit case but the sharp corners really bother me, and a Neo Hybrid but I feel it's just a little too bulky for my liking. I was wondering if anyone out there has a ghost armor skin applied on their Nexus and how it's holding up?

I cant speak from experience but if you expect ghost armor to withstand falls, don't. You are essentially just wrapping the phone in plastic that will withstand scratches and chips. As long as you baby your phone you should be fine. Hope this helps

I hardly ever drop my phone but I wanna protect the back piece from scratches and whatnot, I haven't dropped my nexus at all yet! I know just wrapping it in plastic wouldn't protect it from a fall lol

Agreed with your thoughts here as long as you baby your phone you should be fine........dat was really cool one... as wrapping it up in plastics wont protect it completely...
I have been using Ghost Armor for a while now, had it on my OG Evo and my Epic 4G Touch and it is a very nice skin. The recently "upgraded" their film and when I got the new film on my SII I was very impressed. It was extremely smooth and had almost no orange peel to it.
If you are going to get a skin for the front and the back I would try and get the "Matte" finish for the back of the N5. I had the clear front and matte back on my OG Evo and I loved how it looked and felt, the matte back feels better than the clear back does.
with the nexus logo on the back, i wouldn't cover it with these unless you know it has a cutout of some sort. especially using clear. it will bubble due to the air pocket of the logo.
want a skin? dbrand

[Q] Dust proof/ resistant .

Hi,
I've been searching for a good dust proof case.
I am currently using ballistic SG maxx and it doesn't protect from dust
I am at the army at the desert and I am looking for a good way to protect the mic and speaker grills and the earpiece...
Dust just keep finding way to get there and I am finding my self constantly worrying about it...
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I've looked and from what I've found the SG Maxx is the best option unfortunately. You could throw it in a small pelican case.. But that's about it for now..

I really don't think the SG Maxx is the best option... It doesn't even have any cover to the speaker and mic grills, it's wide open..

So does the SG MAXX. He wants a sealed case that's air tight
I have the same problem since I'm in construction

I saw a Zerolemon rugged case coming out
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00H2KOAZ2/ref=redir_mdp_mobile
Its supposedly IPX4 rated so waterproof and dust proof but not that rugged. It would probably survive dropping but not crushing.

The most dust proof-ish case available for this phone is probably the trident case other than those pouches

From what I've read from someone who contacted Otterbox, they have no plans to make a case for the N5. I was a bit disappointed when I heard that.

I own both the Trident Aegis case and the Ballistic SG Maxx cases. I prefer the Ballistic SG Maxx! The Trident case is a beauty for sure no doubt there but, I found it too slippery to use. It was slippery in the hand an caused me to almost drop it a few times. Unacceptable! Also the bottom edge (where the speakers are) is slippery so you cant rest the edge on a table and balance it on your hand. Unacceptable too! I've had Trident cases for other phones and they have always been great. The build quality is awesome and it looks very nice. The speakers have dust screens on the Trident case which is a feature I was looking for but, the cutouts are too small and the sound gets muffled. Both the Trident Aegis and the Ballistic SG Maxx cases have port covers/plugs The only thing that the Trident case has that the Ballistic SG Maxx doesn't, is the dust screen filters for the speakers. I haven't had a problem with dust using the Ballistic case because it any dust tends to be more attracted to the rubber than getting in the speaker ports. The Ballistic SG Maxx case is really nice and offers a lot more protection than the Trident Aegis case. I wish Trident would come out with a Cyclops or Kracken case I am sure I'd be happy with either of those (if they were not slippery). For now though I will continue to use the Ballistic SG Maxx case be cause of the unmatched protection it offers from drops (already survived a 5 foot drop) and it's not slippery. I'm quite happy with my Ballistic case and I can not say that about the Trident one. I highly recommend the Ballistic SG Maxx and in my opinion its the best case available for the Nexus 5.

Unfortunately, Otterbox has no interest in making more money or caring about their (ex) customers, so they don't make cases for Nexus devices.
I have the SG Maxx like you, and the only way to solve the dust under screen protector issue that I've found is to install a different screen protector. Just be careful so the sides of the Maxx don't push up off the screen the sides of the screen protector.
What about the Seidio CONVERT Combo?
