I recently started to do some stuff in after effects, here is one of my first projects
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rc1aokgLR0g
youtube link seem not to work, or i dont know how to post it...
I will make some boot animations if there will be requests and interest. As i am kinda new to this i wouldn't mind if someone posted a nice tutorial or something on how to make the zip to push on our phones. I have found something but nothing good
hope you guys like the animation, and take the time to watch it
ok i got it working:
here is the bootanimation.zip file, which you need to copy in system/media and replace your former bootanimation!
the animation is abit laggy at start but very nice once it loads... i will try to make it easyer for the phone to load so its smooth all the time
it contains only the galaxy s part of the animation! will need to downsize the files somehow to make longer animations.
here is the link to the file:
http://www.mediafire.com/?7ylya1nf9x777l1
this works only on froyo roms i think... someone pls confirm this
i would like to make an easy update.zip file to flash via cwm but i am unable to get it working
cheers
great work man . Really nice effects.
looks amazing keep it up
waiting for the release
Looks great!
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
thanks for the positive comments
i will need to find the guide first, i know i must export it in pngs and than zip it up somehow. i have no idea about the size tho probably it should be same size as our screen
Very nice work
ok i made something but as i am on 2.3 rom i can't try
here is a flashable zip if anyone is willing to try. the file is 15mb, and should not harm you phone in any way as its only the bootanimation file.
http://www.mediafire.com/?za9311saxrv1q14
hope you try and report if its working or not
I will try it today and tell you how it works. Great work

Thanks,
once i learn how to make the zip i will be making alot of boot animations, aswell as making requested ones and maybe ones for specific themers if there will be interest
You're boot animation looks great !
I m on gingerbread rom so i can't try too ; (
Hello.
Your theme looks awesome. Unfortunately it does not work on 2.2.1 DamianGTO Ultimate Kernel 1.2 + Doc ROM v10 JPJ. I simply get a blank screen then straight to the homescreen.
Would love to see it work tho
thanks for feedback...
i will reflash to 2.2 rom and will remake the animation and zip file at work today
Hi..can I copy your bootanimation on Juwe's rom 3 gingerbread 2.3.3..??
Is the same with froyo..copy and paste bootanimation.zip on system media??
thanks
no, its not that easy it seems...
still waiting for someone to post a guide link ill try to flash 2.2 rom now and redo the process
bump, working animation online, link in first post
One word = AwEsOmE!!!
Looking good! Will this work on miui (as the video is suggesting)
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
think that boot anim only work on froyo atm not sure tho
still waiting for someone more experienced to tell me more
Great work man. I will get home in a few hours and I will try to pack up a bootanimation, for 2.2.1 If I succeed with it, I will tell step by step what I've done.
In the future, could you make an bootanimation for my theme? If you have time of course.
keep up the good work

Added custom clock and a few other things. No wipe and not full os so u should be able just to flash over the old version w/ no problems. Won't be editing anything else but i'm working on making a dude version should post soon. I'll leave the first one up for ppl that like just something basic or using home apps. Basic blue theme my first shot at a theme. No custom icons just basic stuff I'm still learning. Added stericson files for white clock and constant battery meter.
Update
Added dudes build. After seeing manup's default theme i really didn't wanna post it but here it is anyway. I couldn't get stericson's files working I know its not the files it's something im doing but can't pinpoint what the problem is. Tested from fresh version of dudes build with none of my apps to sd ran fine all day. I know that shouldn't make a difference but use at your own risk and as always make a backup first. Used dudes template so no wipe should be needed if you have alot of apps give it a few minutes at the android boot image.
Link no custom clock, dialer, or music widget

if you have alot of apps give it a lil while to populate the apps tray i've been flashing it all day no problems if not try a wipe but you should'nt have to its not the full os
Never mind. Wiped, copied the Nandroid backup files after verifying the theme does work, flashed Nandroid backup, and waited about five minutes for the fully-loaded and themed phone to boot. Theme works great!
blue dream
Very nice. Hope to see it available for dudes rom with a2sd.
can anyone confirm stericsons files work on dudes build and i'll probably need someone to beta test the dudes build version when i finish because i had problems with my apps to sd going from haykuro to dudes and really don't wanna go through that again or if anyone knows if that problem with the different system ui's is fixed
I can confirm that stericson's files work with dude's 1.1a (apps2sd using the ln -s method)

Is it possible for someone to make a Splash1 for Cyanogenmod Rom? Cyanogen has an awesome rom and a custom splash would look really nice for it. Does It even exist? Im unsure if their is a custom cyanogenmod splash screen for the incredible, but im pretty certain that their is not. Can someone make a custom one? I always hate asking for stuff but this seems really cool. I would do it myself but i dont have a lot expierence making custom splash screens and I dont want to brick my phone. Thanks!

It's really not that difficult, the instructions are here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=753788
If you're interested in a custom splash I wouldn't mind making one for you if you don't want to try for yourself. Do you have a custom .png you want to use?
EDIT: I've done a bit of Googling and here are some options I shopped together. Any you like?
Thanks for this ! I rather not make it myself untilled I have a little more expierence with it. I saw the post of how to make it but I need to understand it for my first try. I like the pmg files u put up. If you were to make one, can u make a splash1 with (the android name and cyanogenmod logo in the o. ); the one that looks like this: (andrOid). That would be way awesome! Thanks!
Edit: Srry if possible can u make the splash1 cyanogenmod in the middle and cuts through it. its the cyanogen5.jpg thanks! i really appreciate it do u have a donation link?

I've uploaded the splash1's for Cyanogen 3-5 in order. Haven't tested them myself, and as always, you mod at your own risk, but I think these should be just what you're looking for
IMPORTANT: RENAME THESE TO PB31IMG.zip
Remember to make sure your SD Card is formatted FAT32 and you place whichever PB31IMG.zip file you want to use on the root of the card. Boot into hboot, press up on the volume rocker, confirm the update and viola! New splash1
Donation link in my sig if all went well
Maybe Im an idiot and sorry if this has been answered already I searched and could not find it. Ok so here is my noob ?? I am trying to cook up my very first Supersonic Evo rom using DRIXDAS Htc Android Kitchen, I am also trying to theme it at the same time. Now I have found and created some pretty nice stuff in both the frameworkres.apk and the htcres.apk, I think I have themed it pretty well, that being said I have been trying to add some already themed clocks and friendstream widgets to my rom. This is where the problem comes in, see i know that the themed clocks and friendstream widgets work on my phone because I have flashed the flashable .zip, after rom is up and running of course. However when i try to just add the .apk to the system app folder (either clock or friendstream.apk) then cook the rom with them already in, it doesnt work. They dont even show up. Now here is what I have tried. I have signed them using signAPK, I have also tried signing them with the kitchen, and of course I always zipalign all my .apks before cooking the rom. The process seems to go through well both signing and zipaligning, but when the rom boots niether are there. If I could get any input on this I would appreciate it. Thank you to all the Devs on here who have insprired me to try this, all being said I am having fun and learning A LOT!! Also if anyone could give me any pointers at all, like how to add a reboot option to the power settings of my rom that would also be helpful. Any tips that anybody can think of that I wouldnt know about would be awesome. Again thanx to Devs and anybody on this website for there imformative info on rom developing and theming!
Try just swapping the apks no signing or kitchen see if that works for you!
I presume you are using ubuntu so just drag and drop
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Thanx but I tried that already, no go the niether the themed clock nor the themed friendstream were in the rom after it was cooked and installed. And I am using windows 7 so I have to use cygwin, only other alternative would be to set up ubuntu vm, wich I can do if anyone thinks that would make a difference.
Thanx anyways.
BTW Just as a side note I love the Kings UNleashed Ultra R2 rom, very nice work indeed sir!
So if your like me and like to change the theme's of your phone this is literally the website to do it!
uot.dakra.lt/kitchen <---- Copy/Paste that in your address bar.
It's a theme kitchen and it works on any phone, any ROM, and any version of Android (2.2 , 2.3)
-----------
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. I'm not at fault here, they even have a Youtube video on how to do it.
Sorry guys, let me lay things straight before confusion and cyber authority kick in, I DID NOT CREATE THIS KITCHEN. I give ALL credit to the person who put their life into it, please donate to them.
I just saw this on the internet and wanted to share with the XDA family!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay guys, some of you are having trouble with the kitchen, I'll just break down the instructions:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Whatever ROM your CURRENTLY using, open it and find the Framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk
{Remember, it'll only work with your current ROM, flashing it to another ROM will send you in a never ending boot, because I've done that, anyways, if you change ROMS, you need to re-cook the whole theme with your new current ROM's APK's}
2. Choose your selections, generate previews and what not
Froyo ROMS do not support transparent ANYTHING so do not select it. If your on a Gingerbread ROM then your good and you can check 'enable transparency in status bar' in the Status Bar section
3. Upload your APK's in correct order in the 'File Upload' category
4. As soon as step 3 has been performed, go to 'Summary' and hit 'Submit to Kitchen' If a category is red simply go back and generate the preview
5. If you get an error log in the 'Pickup' page, I don't know what happens so sadly you have to go re-cook your ROM again.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guys this should work like a charm with little to no trouble, I'm young and did this with a breeze.
Happy Theme-ing everybody!
Screen shots please =]

Thanks for the link man!!!! I just went and tried it out, and tweaked some things on a theme I have already now it's lookin really sweet!!! Thanks again!
@G1rome....It is a site so you can make your own custom themes, no screen shots available.
Original thread located in the "Android Themes" section:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=990829
Great find and thanks for sharing it in the G2 community, best way to theme a rom with your own personal preferences.
I gave this a try, seems easy & straightforward to use. However, do you have to make a donation in order to submit your created theme to that kitchen?

No you don't have to make a donation.
UNLOCK OUR BOOTLOADERS
Will this work with stock rom.
@cubanito151 If you follow the instructions carefully it will.
It works on all roms.
Anyone else having issues with the mods sticking? I only did the battery icon mod and it worked at first but now its gone and back to the stock look.
This is pretty lame that its not sticking and reverts back to the old battery icon.

What ROM are you using?
And when will it not stick? When you do a reboot?

WEll, i'm back with another boot animation!
This time it is like, pure android, but i have to say, part0 can be made smoother and part1 is probably getting a complete new look (thats why WIP), but for now; is it this. Look in the atrachment for a screenshot, but there happens alot more I don't know what is on the screenshots right now, bcuz I picked them random, so dont blaim me if there's a black screen as screenshot
How to install:
Use file explorer with root acces:
1. Copy bootanimation.zip to your sd
2. Copy it from SD to /system/media
3. Replace it with original bootanimation.zip
4. Reboot and enjoy
Small update is out: just add and removed some frames and maked it faster
Thanks to iok1!! For making flashable .zip, see his post on this page at the bottom, and please hit thanks on that post, thanks!
EDIT: Well, not the best screenshots.... But you guys have to do it with it if you'd like to see how it looks, just install the bootanimation.zip from the attrachment in the way i have told you here ^ (most know it, but just telling LOL)
thanks very nice i like it
