Has any one else had apnadroid or any other apn app that says it turns off your network...but still shows it up and running? No matter what apn app I use it says the apns are off...and yet I still get 4G coming through. Ideas on how to turn it off and on?

Don't use an app. Dont be lazy. Do an extra couple keystrokes and turn it on/off yourself in settings.

Good morning everyone! I flashed unity to my g2 lastnight and since then when my WiFi is on my mobile network shuts off. I can turn off WiFi but the mobile network still won't turn on. Is there some setting I haven't done right or has anyone else had this issue? Thanks in advance!

Did you set your apn correctly?

Not sure what apn is. The network connection will stay up for an hour or so then it drops and you have to reboot to get it back.

Theres an app on the market called, "APN Manager" that will take keep your APN settings in check. Other wise...
Did you completely wipe the phone before you flashed it? If not, do a complete wipe and then flash it.
How do I keep my 3g network always on? By this I mean sometimes when it goes off I have to turn off radio and turn it back on again in order for it to work. Also I could be on internet and then all of a sudden it won't connect. Again I have to restart connection. This as you can imagine can be very frustrating. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

do not know if this would help but try this. first make sure you go into settings and turn mobile network on. then download an app which link is in my signature. download it from market and install it on your phone..do not worry you do not need to be rooted. once you installed that top option where it says put data connection to sleep untick that.
let me know how it goes for you...
Thanks tried that but it doesn't seem to work. Was wondering if there was build prop settings or something like that?

not sure about that and if you know what you are looking for then go ahead but still i would not try anything that has to do with build.prop. Sorry
After restoring a Nandroid of cm10.1 my phone is now stuck on 4G. Data and texts work fine but I can't make or receive calls. If I toggle LTE off in mobile network settings it automatically puts it back on. Same thing if I toggle only use 2G networks.
I imagine this has something to do with me going into the radio dialer settings (the settings page you get on touchwiz by dialing *#2263#) but am unsure.
Is there a way to access that screen or one that has similar function on cm10.1 so I can test? Or do I need to flash a TW ROM and change it back? And to what, automatic?

*#*#4636#*#* gets you into the testing menu on CM10.1 where you can then go to phone info and change the preferred network type.
Ya I tried apns, sim resets, really anything I could think of that's connected to the radios. *#*#4636#*#* had the same results as the toggles in settings. It would automatically just switch back to lte.
In the end I just reflashed a touchwiz ROM, went into *#2263#, the LTE band had an * beside it. Hit automatic and Nandroided back to cm. Everything working fine now.
I guess those settings are on a hardware level nandroids can't get at. Live and learn.

Has anyone else gotten this notification? It says "tap here to sign into T-Mobile network". I'm not doing any tethering or anything. It seems to pop up randomly. Taping it just opens the browser. That's it. I'm ok AOKP btw

Ahah, I get that when I'm on an AOSP ROM, not sure what causes it.
I've gotten that, and I'm on rooted stock.

I get that sometimes - rarely, usually when I'm out in more rural areas.
I ignore it - everything seems to work fine when that's up there..
lte?
The network around my home is still 4g. The city I work in has began the lte roll out. I have noticed that I only see the sign in message when I am in an lte area. When I clickj on the notification, my browser opens and the notification disappears.

Same. I get this every few days on CM 10.2. It appears as a wifi notification, but I've got network notification and scanning turned off. I've got LTE disabled too.
Yeah it doesn't seem to harm anything or make anything worse, just strange and annoying.

Have you tried toggling the airplane mode or data switch? If that doesn't work, try putting it in airplane mode, reboot the phone, taking out of airplane mode. You should only have to do that once.
If that all fails, try the "killall rild" command trick. One of those is bound to work. I'll bet your texts are being sent by wifi if your data's not working.
Tried toggle airplane mode and data button.nothing.i can recieve and send texts with wifi off.just no data connection only signal cluster bars with an exclamation mark.in about phone menu says i am on rogers network but no data for internet use or reading emails or play store.really sucks.I even flashed back to stock and then flashed candy rom hopping it would of set something that caused this but when candy booted up the first thing i saw was that damn exclimation mark instead of the LTE.****
