I noticed that Signal Reception Led is not blinking .
I can see it working sometime and sometimes not.
It is also same for bluetooth led. When I turn bluetooth on, blue led doesnt blink.
Is this hardware issue or software probkem? Can anyone help?
I dont think it has this function (the last device has this function if i'm not mistaken is htc tytn [hermes] ). Its only for notification like new sms, etc. like circle LED light on touch pro (raphael)
Light only flashes when it's told now. Doesn't flash for reception any more. For the record the TyTNII had it.
Mine flashes when I have a new text message or when GPS is on.
That really sucks...
I had a HTC Touch (elf) before, and it works nice to quickly see if bluetooth is on.
also when battery runs out (less < 5%) it blinks red, but not on this device...
could it be done by a hack? or is it just a dual color led?
thank man. I was worried that there is a problem with my device which I received 3days ago.

There will be flashing amber light when remaining batt level is below 10%.
yeah, it goes blinking orange-like color. but it would be nice if it blinks red when it is nearly empty...
why does they always reject the good features....
I'm just wondering why I haven't seen the green indicator light on my new HTC Touch Pro 2? ...
The orange one for low battery status is working perfectly but the green flashing one which should be activated if a new sms arrived or a call hasn't been answerd isn't ? ...
Is there a way to check if the green light is damaged or does someone experience the same - that it is just not working?

OK, There isn't a green "ok" light for the TP2. Have a search for "light" in this forum, theres another thread on it somewhere.

sorry ... but according to HTC manual:
http://member.america.htc.com/download/web_materials/Manual/HTC_Touch_Pro2/090429_Rhodium_HTC_WWE_UM.pdf
on page 25 it is written:
* The Notification LED shows a:
Flashing green light when there are new SMS, MMS or e-mail messages, missed calls, or reminders.
Solid green light when the device is connected to the power adapter or a computer and the battery is fully charged.
Solid amber light when the battery is being charged.
Flashing amber light when the remaining battery level reaches below 10%.
do you agree ?
The green indicator on my Pro 2 works fine.
I don't think you went into the right settings.
You need to go into TF3D Settings tab > All Settings > Personal > Sound & Notifications. Make sure you tick 'Notifications (Alarms, Reminders)'
If that doesn't work try performing a hard reset.

So it doesn't blink green to indicate we're in service area... unlike my old TyTn2 and most other phones including my wife's blackberry which blinks green to indicate we have signal coverage.
Any hack to change the settings? Pretty useful if we're in a rural area and need to quickly see if we have coverage or not without turning the phone on.
example:
blinking green to indicate signal coverage
blinking amber for missed calls, message etc.
Anyone know what it means when it the lights flash orange-green or amber-green?
Red-Green alternating?

. . I'm right now using Internet Sharing in a laptop connected to my Tilt2 (TP2 from AT&T) using the EnergyRom. It was solid green, because it is plugged and the battery is full--which is ok and expected.
. . Some minutes ago it started to blink in a unknown pattern, like: "quick green, quick pause, quick red, long pause. repeat". I think it's the same doubt from jmmmmm above. Anyone knows what it means? It is still plugged, the battery is still 100% and there is no new notifications (I'm not a popular guy: no calls, no messages, no emails, no reminders, alarms... nothing).
. . Thanks.

that means it's overheating.. charging produces heat, and so does using wifi, bluetooth, gps, and using the phone itself..
i remember charging the phone on a hot day, and putting the phone on top of my laptop (which gets hot at times), and those lights showed. and the phone was hotter than ever.
the post above is infact correct! I was wondering what it meant for a while, but then one day, I left my phone plugged in in the car, and those lights were freakin out. I just wish I could make it do that when I get an SMS or when Im gettting a phone call

+1 from me too. An indicator for coverage would be real handy.

. . Thanks for the tip. In fact, that day I tried the GPS and bluetooth tethering, which rendered my mobile really hot.
. . This should be in some manual or something. I couldn't find any reference for that--and it sounds pretty dangerous to let your phone overheat for long time.
I have installed AlienMind's CM 7.1.
What is the difference between white and green color of network (GSM) and wifi icons? I don't mean "the drop out signal", when the icon of strenght signal is white with "X".
That happens just sometimes. Everything work's fine even with white icons (i hope), but after few seconds back to green color. Are almost always green icons. I don't understand why.

this happens when your phone is syncing with google servers.. to turn this feature off disable background data in settings.. you will lose access to the market if you do this though lol
So, it's normal? No GSM connection drop out while icons are white?
I ask for it because i want to know that must try another RIL or Radio.
normal yes.. dont worry about it
Hi,
I've noticed that sometimes my wifi notification icon stays a grey colour and sometimes its blue while connected. Is this a bug or do the colours mean something?

I believe grey means its obtaining connection, same goes for data connection
thats odd because i can still surf and the mobile data is deffo off too.
Blue is connected to Google services; like Gmail or Talk. Grey is not connected to Google.
Does anyone else noticed that phone doesn't show correct network strenght ? Mines always stays in grey color, which means i'm out of area (siganl area), but that's not true, i can receive calls, messages, etc. If i turn on wifi, the signal strenght bar starts to show correct (blue color), when turned of, all bars goes to grey color. Tryed stable and nightlies, it seems bug doesn't fixed...
Anyone have a solution for that ?
