my music player wont open everytime i try to open it it says "not enough space for music DB .Delete some items"
Try another sd card or formatting your sd card or you can try deleting stuff on your sd card but first also try another app first

I tried that and the other app worked but not the stock music app
and I'm on syndicate frozen rom if that helps
Download android music its just like the actual stock player not the tw one
But if your like me and cant live without 5.1 audio out i reccomend reflashing
Odin would be last resort

I odined stock rom plus ext4 edition and my apps aren't saving their data. for example, the xda app, I gotta log back in everytime I open it. For pandora, same thing. Do I need to format my sd card or what?

That kind of stuff isn't stored on the sd. Try the Factory Data Reset in the Privacy menu. Then re-install your apps.
Can we make the external sd card the default place for files music and movies to be downloaded and played from ?
Try going into the browser and hitting settings and hitting sd under default storage and see if that does what you want it to

I could see how that would work if downloading through the browser, but not if you are downloading via other music apps?

Do you mean you can't reach them thru the stock gallery, or your file manager, video player, or all of the above?
Have you tried the app Rescan media, I believe it's called...?

I mean nothing that is SD card related can be found, used, played etc.. I truly believe my sd card died on me.. if so what do I do?? Get another sd card and be fine or??? Bcuz I am thinking of replacing this g2 with another but since my sd card seems shot does that mean I can't or re-root because I don't have the contents that came with the root??
Ps. I have backup roms but don't know how to put it on the what seems to 'dead' sd card. =Ditamae;19386527]Do you mean you can't reach them thru the stock gallery, or your file manager, video player, or all of the above?

Have you tried putting your card in an sdcard reader on your computer to rule out it being your ROM/device?
If your card is dead, then just buy a new one; you won't have your data but you'll still be able to root your new device if you chose to buy a new one.

I have this same problem. Data off my SD Card will get randomly deleted. At first I thought it was because I used a particular app or when I sent a file as an attachment.
I've tried multiple SD Cards with the same results.
can someone please try and help me figure out my situation?
Problem: everytime i flash an AOSP based ROM, my pictures will not show up in google gallery(they show up in quickpic) and my music will not show in any music player ive tried.
Ive searched the whole file system for .nomedia files, there isnt one on the root of the storage.
can anyone help me resolve this?

Damn dude, sorry, but I stayed away from AOSP for several reasons, and the mixed up mount points drove me crazy. I dont think I ever got it workng 100%. Didnt really try maybe, I missed TW.

Thanks! At least I got some feed back. I ended up fixing it. But it took all day. I had to Odin back to stock, re root. Then format the phones SD card and the external SD card. Now she works beautifully!

I got a new SD card to put music on so that I can replace my iPod. I just copied about 25gb of music to it and put it in my phone, after I put it in the music is gone and there is 25gb worth of random files in a folder called LOST.DIR. Does anyone know why my music is deleted when I put the card in my phone.

Make sure you formatted the sdcard to the right file system. I don't remember if its fat32 or NTFS but if u format it using ur recovery it will do the right one. Then from there u can repeat wat u did and it should work.
