Is anyone having a problem with their phone freezing on the oem dock overnight. In the morning I have to do a battery pull to get it to work again. Its done this since the day I got it at launch. Currently running rooted EC05 & Genocide kernel.
Any ideas?

Answered my own question. Used SetCPU to go to .4Ghz/1Ghz at night and phone no longer crashes. OC works fine during the day, just not at night on the dock. Odd.

My friend got the battery and I have the battery. I've had it for months now. He has had a used one for two days and now his phone won't turn on, it will only turn on if you plug it in to give it a charged turn on, the charger can then be disconnected and normal use can he used for a little while and then the phone will cut out and not turn back on.
I wiped battery stats and the battery is fully charged

You can use osmonitor from the market to get info on the battery. It should show you the voltage, battery health, if the temp sensor is working etc. If it all looks good but the voltage starts to drop quickly soon as the phone is unplugged than you have a bad battery.
Once I unplug the battery seems fine, just out if the blue for instance 45 minutes later ill go into music change a song and bam phone dies

sounds like it may be loose, have you tried wedging paper or something behind it to hold it tight against the contacts?
No I haven't

OK so I've had my EVO roughly 3 months. The past couple of weeks the Car Panel app comes on whenever I plug my phone to the charger. I have no clue as to why this could be happening. I'm using Sprint's charger and their 2200mah extended battery if that matters. Any help would be awesome.

First of all Welcome! I actually recently seen someone facing this same issue lately. One user suggested cleaning your USB port, since that's simple, clean it good and pick it with a toothpick or something. Next, you could try uninstalling car panel.
mine just started doing it today... very annoying
Mine did the same thing a while back. I tried cleaning the USB port, it didn't help. I took it to Sprint, they cleaned it again & did a factory reset. I haven't had the problem since, I'm not sure which fixed it, but it's fixed.

Yes it's extremely annoying!!
Thanks for the welcome! And no luck with cleaning it, it still pops up. As for deleting it, it's a stock app. I'm not rooted so that's not an option, unfortunately.

If not rooted master reset, if yes remove it. Does anyone even use that?

Hey there. I remember I had the same exact problem a while ago. I think I was on a CM build but can't remember which one. I think I attempted to delete the app with Titanium but for some reason the app would still keep popping back up...like a horror movie character.
I think what finally got it resolved was going into recovery and wiping the Dalvik and regular cache and then reflashing the CM rom/GAAPS
I figured out a solution!!! So simple, I feel like a moron not seeing it a lot sooner. LOL. I simply went into the settings menu within the app & unchecked auto-display, therefore the app has to be manually "turned on"

Okay so I noticed that even with the Tiamat kernal my battery life hasn't been great. I always see above 60% android system usage. I recently did the "GPS FIX" but I never upgraded my pri or NV. I need some help, I may skipped a step.

I would update all of your radios. Also, I think in settings under privacy, unclick back-up. Also, have you considered turning down how often your phone syncs?
It also could be a rogue app stealing resources... Let's start with my first suggestion, radios are in my Sig.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Okay this is weird, I turned off background data and now no system use. Is that saying it's a rogue app?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
How many days was it high android use?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Ever since I flashed the GPS fix but possibly after Google+ app. Either way its at 81% usage.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
It's still high as hell ATM. 77% consumption. I don't understand. Wish I could get some help.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
There is a fix for it you'll have to search for it I only saw it once
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Someone had a link for me in their sig but they changed it...and I searched to no avail. Sad cause I don't want to ditch cm7 for something so dumb. Just want my GPS to work without having my android system through the roof. Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo is on the other line. -.-

I had the same problem. Here's the fixes I did before I finally just ditched CM7
I updated my radios (and everything else).
All my syncs were on 4 hour intervals (except weather = 1 hour)
lowered screen brightness
uninstalled facebook, g+ and gVoice (my 3 highest used apps).
rebooted about 6 times
held it wrong
prayed to the gods of android
flashed Synergy RC2
So if you were considering doing those, don't. They aren't the problem.
Ironically, my GPS has never had a problem on any aosp rom (and I've tried darn near all of them), but like you, even with the kernels my stuff just wouldn't work right. I think it has something to do with our phones just not liking the kernel. Give toastch's "godmode" kernel a try or flash back to stock to see if that helps.
Ok so switch kernals or just switch to synergy?

My phone doesn't deep sleep but I don't have any wake locks. I'm on aokp m3. It'll deep sleep for usually the first half hour of the night but then sits at my min all night and until I restart it. It never deep sleeps more than 2 hours even if its on multiple days

No, it's killing your phone!
Have you checked which app is draining your battery?
Have you tried other ROM's?
Factory reset?
Wiped Cache?
I've wiped cache. Done several resets while flashing rom updates. None of my apps are really using battery. I honestly can't find a single app keeping my phone going I'm almost ready to start blaming widget locker. Tonight ill try disabling it.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
I would format, and reflash, remove any gaps you might not be using, and not install a single app except for a cpu monitoring app to check on the deep sleep.
Let it sit like that overnight, and in the am check your results. If you see a difference and are getting deep sleep, then its obviously a rogue app thats keeping it awake. After that start adding one app at a time, until you find the "bad app"
I know it takes time and is boring, but thats the beauty of Android and open source...
What kernel are you using?
I'm using Franco's kernel #16.1 right now. My phone has been like this basically since day one but its bothering me lately.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
Really can't find out what's doing this. I'm not getting any deep sleep now. I've gotten rid of any app I can think of. Can anyone think of any "bad apps" off the top of their head?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
Try downloading watchdog and setting it to aggressive. That might help you find something
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
I'm actually getting an audio out_1 wake lock but idk. I'll try that
Facebook keeps alerting me... Odd

Lol it was lookout... Uninstallrd it and its deep sleeping just fine.

has anyone experienced their phone turning itself off, and the only way to turn it on is to pull the battery and restart it?
Never heard of that..at least on our note. I have experienced a weird rabdom reboot. Not sure of the relevance between the two but still falls under the weird category. Some say avast security causes these things...
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app
I dont have avast installed. I have had the phome for about 10 days and it has happened about 5 times. the only thing that I have noticed that is it happens when I look at my phone after I get out of my car which makes me think it might have something to do with bluetooth because I have uconnect in my car. I am running stock rooted ljc and have already tried a fresh install and it still happens.
Ive had the exact same problem on stock LJC when I leave my car having used the phone with Bluetooth. The led is usually flashing and the screen is stuck off until a batter pull.
I have not noticed any other lock ups like this otherwise when not using BT. Ive had the phone 2 months.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app
I have had this happen twice this week but chalked it up to being a custom kernel issue....it happened in the same exact location each time...while streaming pandora in the car....in a spot undergoing network vision upgrades. I will have to test it further

I know that there were some bluetooth fixes in lk8 I wonder if that was one of them. I cant run it cuz I need my wifi to work all the time. maybe it was adressed in ma5. does anyone running either of those builds have an issue like this?
I've ran lk8 on stock deodex and ma5 and haven't had any problems with wifi. But I only use it on my home network.

What kernel?
I was getting rogue restarts/shutdowns in calls on some of the Perseus kernels. Alpha29 IIRC.

I am on the stock kernel. only things different from stock out of the box are root, and I installed twrp from that goo app from the play store.
Update....
After running ma5 for the last 3 days I have not had this issue any more. If anyone is still having this issue I would recommend to flash ma5.
That's good news. Are you using just the updated modem firmware or an entire rom of MA5?

The entire rom.
Before the rom was available I flashed just the modem and still had the issue, but since ive been on the full rom it hasnt happened.
I guess I will update as well...I flashed the new modem and latest perseus kernel and have not had the shut off issue in the location it was previoisly occuring at.

I did the rooted no data oc and I was getting wakelocks from bluetooth share. I un paired and then repaired the phone with my car and the wakelocks went away. Just a heads up.
Hmmmmmm.... never had that happen to me. I am a power user too. I can drain the battery in 5 hours if I try hard.
