HI.
This is sort of off topic and not too useful, but I found a case that I thought would be ideal for the Xoom. Only problem is that it is iPad only at the moment:
I posted this in another forum, but thought I'd post it here too to see if onyone here could think of something.
This is what I would ideally like to use on the Xoom.

My friend has one for his iPad. The tablet slides in, fits really snugly and the ribbing on it makes it extra rigid and sturdy. Then you take the tablet out when you use it.
So, it protects properly when in the case, and you still have the good looks of the Xoom when you actually take it out and use it, unhindered by annoying cases.
I have emailed them about making for non-apple products, this is their reply:
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your appreciation and support of our products.
Generally, all of our new products will be disclosed the detail information on our official website in the upcoming future, thus we suggest you to normally check on our website for the launching period of different new product items.
Regards,
SwitchEasy
So I am still not sure that they will have this for the Xoom.
But a good idea might be for a few people who would really like one of these to also email them and let them know that you would be interested in buying one for a Xoom. Maybe if they get enough interest, they will make it.
But don't spam them.
Any ideas?
* Update:
I bought this case and have pictures on the second page of posts.
I don't like the idea of keeping a tablet in a sleeve. Not effective for users who have butter fingers. The tablet will stay unprotected during use, so the sleeve is useless at that time.
Only good thing is that it allows you to remove the tablet easily to show it off to friends.
I guess I'll still stick to the Otterbox Defender once it comes out. I need protection for my tablet 24/7.
Well to each his own. Sorry I can't help you.
Fair enough, that would be my initial instinct as well about a case, to have it protect all the time.
But I don't know. I've recently had a change of heart. Having that protected sleeve works really well for my friend.
And I like that you get the slim sexy shape and feel of the tablet when you are actually using it, rather than a bulky protective case.
I guess I'm hoping that the pouch will protect it from bumps while in transit and the gorilla glass will take care of the rest.
But I do agree that your idea makes more sense for protection.
Well so as long it's not easy for the tablet to slide out of the sleeve, I'm sure it'll protect it well during transportation. The ribs make it look sturdy and rigid so no doubt it's more than sufficient to protect the Xoom while it's inside.
I emailed switcheasy a couple of weeks ago and the TRIG is the only sleeve that will fit the xoom. It is not officially supported but the the sent me the inside dimensions and the xoom will fit. I liked the ribcage too, but it has a super tight fit on the ipad so it will not fit on the xoom as the xoom is .24 inches longer. I ordered the trig today so when i get it i will post pics as to how it fits.

Thanks for the info.
Ya, was wondering if it would just fit in the Ribcage one.
I might try it on my friend's, just to make sure when my Xoom comes, but I think you are right and it will stick out.
Yes, please do post it here when you get it.
Cheers
Just checked out the TRIG... Wow... It is quite metro/matrix.
It looks really practical though. If they do fit the Xoom, I might look at getting one.
It looks like it would do the case/stand thing better than the official portfolio case (which I think is dumb and a waste of money).
Still wish I could get the Ribcage one for it. That would be perfect in my mind.
Yea the ribcage was the nicest looking. I'm a premed so i especially like the skeleton look, and i could imagine all my friends being jealous of the awesome case. Unfortunately the ribcage is super tight fitting on the ipad. The TRIG seems more practical though, th einside is super soft and the doubling as a stand is cool too. I get my xoom on wednesday, and im not sure how long the trig will take to ship, but ill post a review/pics asap.
I've had many switcheasy cases for my iphone 3g a few years back. I've emailed them in the past asking for android support.

Well, I didn't like sleeve before, too. But, it always provide enough protection and in simply design. (I can accept fancy design for phone case, but not tablet case. )
It can fit many purpose and many things. My old netbook, my friend's iPad or even the coming Xoom (I guess).
My friend is using Dsstyles's iPad case. I find it nice, as its insider layer is velvet.
Its name should be Neo Series iPad 2 Bag.
Ok finally got my case. It fits nicely. I also have the gel cover free from Costco and the case wont close with that on, but I wasn't planning on using it anyways. The case is a gloss material on outside, the inside is soft felt that feels like fur, it is super soft on inside. The stand is very stable as well.
Very nice.
Thanks for showing us.
It still looks a bit shinier than what I would usually be comfortable with, but it does look like it does the job well.
I'm just not sure I'll pay that much plus shipping to Africa, if I'm not 100% certain on it, I will have to think about it.
Thanks again.
Yea it is pretty shiny, but I think my phone camera flash makes it a bit more shiny looking than it actually is. On YouTube some ppl have done nicer reviews of the trig with ipad you should check em out it may help you make up your mind.
Ok.
I got my Xoom today. Writing this on it in fact.
Anyway, I tried it in my friends ribcage case and it fits perfectly!
I battled to believe it, but it is so snug and doesn't stick out. It's not the whole width of the case, but it's hardly noticeable.
Buying it from here is going to be a pain, but I think it will be worth it.
Will post pics if I manage to get case
I ordered the ribcage case from SwitchEasy.
Had to borrow a credit card to do it, but it should be on it's way soon.
So. I got the case and it fits amazingly.
It's really soft inside, it cushions the tablet nicely, and the front is very rigid.
The Xoom doesn't slide out, even when turned upside down and shaken.
You have to take it out, which is great so it won't fall out.
I also got a nice surprise as it came with two little stands and a microfibre cloth.
It also came with two iPad screen covers, which don't help, but it is still cool.
Here are pictures:
The microfibre cloth and the one stand. The other stand is exactly the same, just white.
The stand in the upright position.
It cradles the Xoom really well.
It is also really stable in portrait mode.
Size comparisons:
Front of case with Xoom in.
This is how far in it goes
Even though it has gaps on the side, it is held in really tightly, so it doesn't wobble around, not even slightly.
The leather looking back, with Xoom in
And this is me holding it upside-down to show that it doesn't just fall out.
Cool.
Hope you enjoyed the photos.
I highly recommend this case for the Xoom.
Cheers
aww man u got me regretting getting the trig!!!! I think I might just end up giving the trig to my sis who has an ipad and getting the ribcage. Still not sure tho as I might be returning my xoom for an asus

Shame, sorry about that.
Ya, the asus does look pretty sweet, but I'm happy with my Xoom.
That ribcage case is amazing.

Ok, So I got this case a day ago and I decided to write a review because of how impressed I was. (especially for the price). I found this shell case here, and it is pretty cool. (My print is the carbon fiber, and it comes in a few other colors as well.)

The Case itself:
This is a simple plastic case that clips onto the back of the Xoom. It is simple hard plastic, with the pattern printed on it. I was very impressed by both the fit and the quality of the print on the case. The Print is very detailed, maintaining great shadowing (for dimension) and enough detail to see individual (printed) strands of carbon fiber. The fit is good, it's snug and does not wobble or wiggle. It only protrudes top and bottom, the sides do not wrap all the way around, but instead only cover the first bit of the sides.( Makes it easier to remove for whatever reason and facilitates access to the tricky volume keys.) I was also very surprised at how slim it is on the Xoom, it doesn't add much bulk at all.
Another sign of the quality of this case is the edges of the cut outs, they are all tapered and rounded, with matching print quality, something I wasn't expecting on a sub $20 case.
The Seller and Shipping:
I ordered this on a Sunday and received it on a Wednesday, so the turn around time was great. The package was shipped USPS, so ship times may vary. Also, shipping was either dirt cheap or free (I can't remember).
The Seller also took a couple dollars off my order, (on top of the code "CRAPISGOOD" for XDA members [%10 off]) Which was appreciated.
My Verdict:
If you are looking for a cheap case that is of great quality, this is for you. It comes in many different print options, and is a great shell. Even if you are not, it is probably worth the $20 investment.
can you charge the xoom while its in this case with the motorola stands?
Is it grippy or smooth?
I knead grippage!!
I was going to buy one as well...
Can you tell me if you can still use the docking stations with this installed? I know you can with the silicon case so if this is thin enough I would think it would work as well.
I am also interested in how slippery it is. I have a hard time holding on to my naked Xoom and appreciate the grip the silicon case provides, it is just really ugly IMHO. The carbon fiber hellshell looks really cool.
It is very glossy and slick. As for the charging situation, I don't have a dock so I can't say for sure, but if it works with the silicon case it should work with this its smaller then the silicon one.

Thanks man! Just ordered mine (front/ back clear). Been looking for a good case, and it looks like you may have found it for me!

Not to be rude, but you NEED to check this instead of assuming. Reason I asked was because I bought a similar case off ebay and it would not fit on the dock, hence it was useless.

Had mine on for a few hours now, TOTALLY loving it.
I purchased the clear one, front/back snap on cover and it adds a few mm to it, but to me it feels better holding it now also wish I had it on when it fell off the bed and scratched along our textured walls.... I have super light blue scratches on the top right and bottom left corners now... grrrrr!!!.
I would recommend this case to anyone who wants a little more protection for the device, and can't wait for super cool otterbox cases and the like to come out.
Word of caution though, I put it on with a Zagg front and back screen protector (the damn side strips were a PITA to put on)..... don't do that. It was super difficult to take off lol
As anyone tried this with a docking station? I really want to order the carbon fiber shell, but want to know if it will fit in the docking station with the shell installed first. I know it is not very much money, but it is still enough that I do not want to make the wrong purchase.
Am I blind, or is there no mention of who makes this or who sells it?
It is in the OP, just not very prominant.

I like the look of that shell. I currently have the Skinomi carbon skin. I wonder if this shell would fit with that installed.
Did I see Netflix?
Is that netflix app on your home screen working for streaming videos??

Thats my project for today
Just got mine
Ordered one of the cases...fits great. Nice feel to the shell. Best of all using the 2nd attachment that came with the speaker dock, I can charge it as well.
The case gives the Xoom a much more polished feel/look to it...very happy with it.
Just got my case. This thing is great. I got the skulls version and I like it alot, only one complainent. The case is pretty smooth, so now its smoother than the stock tablet.
Now if they would only start shipping the pivot-pad, I would be all set!
i have the same case as well.
and for those asking if this would fit the motorola charge/docking port stand yes it will. motorola offers a plastic adapter that you can add to make the xoom fit if it has a case on.
I forgot to add that as well, my standard dock came with a adapter plate. That plate works with this case just perfect.
So I got contacted in a PM from this person asking me if Id be willing to check out their case. I saw they only had one post and I thought it was spam at first. Im used to getting PM's about getting free iPad's and whatnot so I figured this was part of the mix. They wanted my name and address to ship me a case to try and review. Cant trust anyone these days asking for your personal information right?
Then I clicked the link under the signature of the sender. Rearth was the company I got linked to. I had never heard of this company before and wasnt sure if I was still involved with a ruse or not. Then I did some digging and found that this was a new company to the US making cases for popular phones and other devices.
I figured why not and PM'd back my information. I promptly got an email thanking me for taking part of the review process and was given a tracking number for the case.
Unfortunately, they put my address on the shipment incorrectly. I watched the shipment daily in my tracker as it went from their warehouse, to my local post office, only to see the next label as shipped back to sender for bad address. Oh well, I thought it was too good to be true and was still under the impression it was too good to be true.
I emailed the person I was in contact with what had happened and they apologized and said a new case was being shipped out immediately. Needless to say, a new one was shipped and I actually received it today.
After all the said and done, the first word I can use to describe the case is "Impressive".
The packaging was very nice and was able to see the case distinctly through the packaging. When I opened up the box, a little bag fell out with the case. This is apparently something exclusive to Rearth that I hadnt seen before but is one of those "Duh, why didnt I think of that" type things. The bag contained two little audio jack caps(one white and one clear). They fit very nicely into the audio jacks and are flush with the case when its all installed. I very rarely use my audio jack so it was nice to have something to close it up so lint or other stuff dont get inside.
I didnt have choice of color for the case but luckily I am a fan of yellow and it looks good on the phone. First thing I noticed about the case was how flexible it is and yet protective feeling at the same time. There are many flexible cases on the market that slip over the phone and feel like they would tear within a matter of days and justify the $1.99 you paid on ebay for it. This case however is not in the same league, its way above that.
The case is made from a very high quality silicone and it really feels like it. I really like that its got a texture to it but its not sticky either. Its hard to describe in words. Its slippery enough to slide in and out of your jean pocket easily without pulling out lint(a la Otterbox), but has a very fine coarseness to it that fingers cling to so that it wont be dropped too easily either.
Im used to using hard cases on all my phones that clip in and out of a holster(Seidio cases specifically) so this is my first experience using a softer silicone case. I like that it fits the phone perfectly without any flimsiness. The volume buttons are covered, but raised to feel the individual up and down, but the cutouts for all the other parts are precision cut. The cutout for the fingerprint reader is angled properly all the microphone and speaker ports are perfect. And like I previously mentioned, having the little cap in the audio port matches up perfectly and is a great feature. This little cap I have found, will work with other cases as well.
After using this case for much of the day I feel that I will be using this more and more as my daily case instead of the Seidio. I really like that the Seidio fits into the belt clip perfectly but I dont use that too often. And the Rearth case seems like it might protect it better with my daily tossing and dropping of the phone than the hard Seidio case.
Dont get me wrong, I still love my Seidio cases, but if I were going to put my money down on a silicone case for my phone or other device, it would definitely be from Rearth. I highly recommend this case to anyone in the market for a moderately priced silicone case. Keep an eye on this company, they are here to stay.

I ordered one after reading some reviews on here. Good strategy on their part.
I also just ordered one. I have always like silicone vs the hard case.
LOVE this case in black! Has some texture to it, you may or may not like it, but I do. Very slim, will update tomorrow confirming with the car dock fit. Charging dock only really works with top plate removed.

Sorry, answered in a different thread. It physically fit inside the car dock, activates car mode with the clip secured, but the lip of the top clip doesn't reach to the face of the phone, it grips the top of the phone ok.

Not sure why you used all caps...but seriously...contact them? 2 months is actually a decent amount of time for a silicone case...

pretty sure almost all reviews i have read people have said that same. read reviews, it helps
Capped it as a warning thats all
So the initial reason why I decided on the galaxy tab was because of its incredibly thin profile and light design.
I searched for days picking apart cases so I could keep that thin, light profile.
Well I think we found a winner folks. Its the Acase Ez Leather Folio Case.
It has an excellent feel to it, holding the tablet very tightly inside. It has those nifty magnetic flaps to keep it shut when needed. It has all of the ports cut out properly, including speakers, and the build quality is top notch.
It really has the two best viewing angles you could ask for. Perfect for typing, perfect for watching movies.
When you fold back its flap, it keeps the tablet thin and easy to view in landscape.
I guess my only 2 gripes is there not being a cut out for the charger when the flap is closed. But that seems to be very common among all folio cases. I guess they are trying to keep the dust out. Not a big deal for me as I am pretty good with a ruler and an exacto knife.
My other gripe is the bowing of the edges around the rim of the glass. It doesnt lay completely flat or flush. Although I will say its extremely stiff and probably the best I've seen in comparison. Alot of the other folio cases use a super thin and flapity leather or vinyl and, not only does it look cheap its very loose. This one is definitely an improvement over those. Its tight and uses a very thick, high quality leather, best I've seen.
If your looking for a high quality leather folio case that will keep your tablet thin & light without breaking the bank, then I recommended you go pick this one up on Amazon for $30 Shipped.
Dont forget to hit thanks if this post helped you!!

Looks very functional and thin but I am not loving the contrast white stitching.
I can't decide if I want to put full Ghost Armor on my GT or go for one of these type of cases. I would have loved the knock off Apple smart case, hopefully Samsung will approve that one soon. Screw crapple.
Personally, I love the white stitching. It matches my wallet and shoes! Haha.
Comparing it to all other folio cases, at least this one is unique with its own bit of personality and style. Searching through tons of cases, I was tired of seeing the same boaring straight black cases. I guess to each his own, but I like it cause it stands out.

Thanks for this! I was about to pull the trigger on the official Samsung case, but then I figured I'd take another quick look at the forums to see if I missed anything. I looked at your post and immediately changed my mind. I was looking for something that didn't add much bulk to the device, but would protect it fairly well. This looks pretty stylish to boot.
Also got a 3 pack of the same company's screen protectors for the Tab for 20 percent off with purchase of this case on Amazon. Ordering the case and the protectors, with next day shipping on Prime was 48 dollars, still about 20 dollars less than the Samsung case. Thank you SO much!
I like the case, just not the stitching, just my opinion.
The problem with getting such a brand new device is there not being anough quality choices in cases. Happens to me a lot because I unfortunately like to be an early adopter. I have spent so much money on Blackberry cases because I changed berries so damn often. Same happene with my Evo, bought a Golla pouch that I thought I would really like and then ended up not liking it so I got something else.
I may just do a full Ghost Armor for now until I find the ideal case, or just get the pasic slip in case for now.
I would have to agree on the stitching aspect. I like the case and would definitely buy it but I just think that doesn't sit with me for some reason. Thanks for the review.Nice to get one from a user aspect and not a company. Something I have been reading and searching for all day.
I love the look of this case. I am down to this case and the Melkco case. Tough decision to make.
Your welcome!

One of these days i will take a picture of my shoes and wallet and youll see what im talking about
This reminds me of the Yoobao executive folio case that I had for my iPad2. Have been looking for something like that and this is almost exactly like it.
Thx alot for the tip bro.
I received my Acase case today. It is a very sleek leather case that does not take away from it's attractiveness and yet its a great protective cover for my GT10.1. It is the best of both worlds.
Amazon Prime members can get it for a total of 24.95 landed.

Got mine and have been using it for about three weeks. I agree with the review overall. Unfortunately, the stitching on one of the corners is coming apart. I hope I can return it.
As long as you haven't poured something on the case or abused the case, you should be able to rightfully claim poor workmanship. No vendor wants to see bad reviews of their business on Amazon or on any message board.
Sorry to bump this old thread, but I think this deserves some bumpage.
I've been using the case for a few weeks now and I have one major complaint. Either the stitching is coming loose, or the leather is wearing down already. The leather tab that folds over the tablet to keep it in place does not stretch tightly anymore.
This means that when holding the tablet normally, since the bottom of the tablet rests on this flap, the tablet falls through the case quite a bit. Not only do the speakers get covered since it's not sitting right in the case anymore, but the entire thing is just annoying. Very hard to hit volume or power buttons, etc.
The Tab has not fallen completely out of the case....yet. But I can see that is where this is heading.
Funny thing is, I haven't even used the Tab all that much since getting the case. This case wore VERY quickly, and now I'm looking into other options. Don't think I can get my money back from Amazon at this point either
Anybody else with this case seeing this happen?

Can you please post the pictures? actually i already ordered one.
I have the same, it's the best ^^
There are a lot of options on eBay and Amazon, but I was wondering if somebody has already one.
I found this one: I seems minimalistic and they have different colors too and key hole for storage. But the dimples on the back seems like irritant to me.

Than there is another one that has the backing lot larger, but lot of seems that might be uncomfortable
Thank you for all your input

Has anyone bought a armband for running at all id can't find any locally for my phone and id rather not order untill I kno how they preform and feel also I have really big arms anyone found on that is really large around
so i ordered the first one the one with the dimple things only cause it looks like it would stay on my arm a lil better without being so tight i hope its long good price too
I had similar issues finding a case when I had a Nexus S. I also have big arms, it seems like most of the cases are designed to fit arms of < 15 inches.
What I ended up doing was getting a cheap TPU case like this one, then taking a utility knife and cutting a couple of slits in it. I then paired it with a strap like this one.
It worked quite well with my Nexus S and I'm probably going to end up doing the same thing with my S3.

What I ended up doing was getting a cheap TPU case like this one, then taking a utility knife and cutting a couple of slits in it. I then paired it with a strap like this one.
It worked quite well with my Nexus S and I'm probably going to end up doing the same thing with my S3.

Good idea! Assuming the strap went behind the phone...did you ever feel like the phone was going to pop out of the TPU case with the extra thickness of the strap?
I have used a few armbands (though not with the S3), but then I got this: iFitness Neoprene Running Belt I'll never go back to an arm band again, the waist pouch is so much more comfortable to wear.
It is big enough to fit the S3 (along with my house-keys) though it is a bit harder to get the phone in/out than it was with my S1/Captivate. It probably would not fit if you have a bulky(i.e. Otterbox Defender) case on the phone though.

I agree. Those belt-style holders are much better than armbands, in my opinion. I have one as well, though I bought a different brand. I have to put in a "Shop Local" plug here, cuz this company is based where I live, Austin, TX:
http://www.spibelt.com/spibelt.php
If you're worried about your keys scratching your phone, they have a belt with two pockets. If the GS3 is a little tight in that other belt, these guys have a belt with a larger size. The Spibelt's material is also thin enough that you can hit buttons on your phone without taking it out of the pouch (all we need now is a rom that can advance songs with the volume rocker for the GS3)
I'm not a salesman, just a happy customer

Yes, the strap went behind the phone.
I can't speak to the S3 as I don't have that S-curve case yet but with my Nexus S I never had any concern that the phone would pop out. The S-curve case for my Nexus S had quite a substantial 'lip' that kept the phone securely in the case. Based on the pics in that ebay ad, the design for the S3 looks to have very similar 'lip'.
Belkin makes a fitness armband specially for the S3. I ordered one off Amazon, but a few places carry it.
I like the running belt idea, never considered it before. Might have to now.
does anybody have experience with this CrazyOnDigital armband or manufacturer?
or have any comments on it?
I bought their SG III protective case http://www.amazon.com/CrazyOnDigita..._1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1341627318&sr=1-1 , and now that armband will be in my hands by Tuesday. The case ins comparable to the Otterbox commuter. All buttons work easy fit and great quality. It looks way better in person than that picture renders it. It's two a piece case and a hard plastic outer cover with a rubber silicone bezel. The circles are like shock absorbers for when it hits the ground to absorb the shock of being dropped.

Belkin is selling one in amazon, does anybody have it?
I'm planning to buy one for when I ride my bike but I never own before one so I'm really sure what to expect from this one

I purchased a sport armband for my Droid X for the same purpose (bike rides) and have to say it can get a bit annoying at times (due to the sheer size of the device) and considering this device is even larger, I'm not sure how comfortable it would be, at least on long treks.
i use an armband i got at academy for my s2. it gets the job done for my s3 also.
Armband
A ziplock bag and the pocket in my running shorts or on the back of my cycling jersey costs me all of about .05 and works for about 10-20 workouts.
Pair that with a good set of bluetooth headphones (Jaybird Freedom) and I'm happy as a tick on a fat dog!
I ditched my Gnote for the S3 only because i couldn't run with it on my arm. No matter how much i spent on different armband cases...it was still very uncomfortable to run with a 5.3" phone on your arm lol.
i ordered the second the OP had posted and it feels awesome to run again!

Belkin has an armband case, although the CrazyOnDigital one looks good too:
http://www.amazon.com/CrazyOnDigita...TF8&coliid=I2K3A2WN5H810V&colid=3PKXTAWGFU9NA
My main important points are:
-headphone placement
-strap tightness
-ease of power button access / touch screen access
Found something on the belkin here, looks cheap:

Thanks for the video, I'm not sure how is going to do because it's not an enclose one, no zipper on top in case it decide to slip out...not very sure how I'm going to like this one
It's getting here today so well see

anyone can recommend any other belt for sports, mainly running? and sometimes for casual use. i cant find anything decent in my country, lol
ive considered armband, but belt is a safer choice i think.
something like this the spibelt mentioned before, top quality and stuff. they dont ship to europe (poland) and it is a little too small i think, but looks good
I'm not a fan of cases on my phones, laptops, or tablets. However, I do like to keep my laptop and tablet in individual sleeves within my briefcase for protection when not in use.
I'm curious to see if anyone has found a decent quality sleeve for their 2013 Nexus 7. Ideally, something that is a fairly tight fit with no zipper. If you've found any like this, a link would be greatly appreciated.
As my searching continues I will update the thread with my findings.
Thanks!
EDIT: I discovered that the new Nexus 7 is very similar in size to the iPad Mini...
2013 Nexus 7: 114 x 200 x 8.65 mm
iPad Mini: 134 x 200 x 7.2 mm
The main part that intrigues me is that the height is the same while the width of the N7 is just a tad narrower. Which means that most iPad Mini sleeves should fit the new Nexus just fine. I might make a run up to the Apple store after work to see what I can find.
One sleeve that looks to be what I'm looking for is the Sena Ultraslim Sleeve found on Apple's website. I know they make one for the 2012 Nexus 7 but the one for the iPad Mini will probably be a better bet:

Here's another. This matches the sleeve I have for my Macbook Air and covers the top of the tablet a little better than the Sena sleeve so this will probably be the winner: :highfive:

EDIT #2: I've now been using the Acme Made neoprene case (pictured just above this text) for just over 2 weeks and absolutely love it. I've traveled with it 2 times now and the sleeve just works perfectly. It's not a super tight fit but when you pull the band over the top it seals it in very well. There would even be just enough room for some sort of TPU case as well, which I think I will buy whenever a good quality slim one becomes available.
I just got a sleeve from builtny (http://www.amazon.com/BUILT-Neoprene-Slim-Sleeve-Black/dp/B00B5QLV9C/) which was designed for the iPad mini. Regardless, based on the sleeve dimensions, it first well with the N7. I've previously used builtny for my laptop, and the sleeve is of great quality and has last me several years (longer than the laptop in fact).
I originally bought this one for my N7 until i could find a case i liked. I'm doing the same with the n7-2 at the moment.

ccmichael - I really like that BuiltNY sleeve. Does it cover the top of the N7 bezel well?
biggiestuff - I like it but I'd be afraid the zipper would scratch the screen while taking it in and out.
saw this on ebay. unfortunately it ships from China (2-3 weeks). don't know about the quality.

My case comes in tomorrow via UPS. I'll upload some pics tomorrow when I receive it! Based on the dimensions, it should, but I'll definitely let you know.
Awesome, thanks!

Here is my N7 with the builtny sleeve designed for the iPad mini. As you can see, the sleeve completely holds the N7. The depth of the sleeve's interior is a little deeper than the N7, so if you were to hold the sleeve upside down, the N7 will fall out. This isn't an issue for me as the sleeve will always stay upright in my bag when I'm carrying it. Also, I plan to eventually get a keyboard for my N7 which doubles as a clamshell case (similar to this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AMR1NIY for the original N7), so I'll be adding some thickness which the builtny sleeve will accommodate.
Not a big fan of sleeves, I just don't know where to put them when I'm using my tablet, they're a burden in my case, but some of these do look really nice and I might just get myself one for my old Nexus 7, since I'll just use it for experiments.
Gonna take my chances with this case, love the look although it's vague how that strap works, and what the quality will be like.
The dodo sleeve looks beautiful but I'm hesitant to spend so much, knowing how high of a turnover I have with electronic devices :-\
Thanks everyone for the links,

Received my Nexus 7 in the mail this evening and went up to the Apple store to check out a couple. I immediately fell in love with the Acme Made Skinny Sleeve. It's designed for the iPad Mini but fits the Nexus 7 extremely well. It also matches my Acme Made sleeve for my Macbook Air perfectly.

Slickdeal ppl cleared them out for $0.99 so prob check ebay (luckily I ordered a few days prior before ppl found out). They fit fine, the soft neoprene is a little looser fit and I prefer it so far

How is the interior lining in that sleeve? Is it soft/plush like the Incase neoprene sleeve or just padded? Looks nice...
One 99 cent sleeve available on amazon again.

It's just padded with a little extra padding on one side to help with additional protection for the screen. It fits exactly how I hoped, tight enough to keep the nexus in firm but lose enough to easily pull it out. When you pull the elastic band over the top it pushes the top edges of the sleeve together creating pretty much a full enclosure to protect the top of the bezel. With this sleeve I'll have absolutely no second thoughts about tossing it in a suitcase, my briefcase, my girlfriend's purse etc.
It's funny, I went into the Apple Store last night with my N7 and immediately picked the Acme Made sleeve up and put the N7 in it. The Apple rep that was standing there goes "woah, that fits perfectly!" :highfive:
It really is exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend it.
