Can someone please help? My G2 is a bit messed up. It says "error" when I try to turn on the wifi. Also my battery barely keeps a charge. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Give us some info! What rom are you running, kernel, do you have a recovery flashed? Then we can help you out!
I am not rooted. 12.28b.60.140eU_26. 03.02. 2_M baseband
2.6. 32.17-g9ab3677 [email protected] #1
1.22.531.8 cl277427 release keys
Does this help?
Thanks

Start uninstalling apps. Odds are you installed something that's going to town on your battetry. Start with your most recent installs or anything shady, like wallpaper apps, or anything that tries to control your wifi, like profile switchers. If all else fails, try a hard reset. If that doesn't work, it might be a hardware problem.
Hope this helps

I'm hoping to get some noob love.... I'm going crazy here.... I flashed paranoid on 10/4 and loved it! I decided to flash a 747-s kernel last night because i read that it woul help battery life, when I went to reboot it keeps coming up with the error phone has stopped... and it won't let me do anything. I've wiped everything and tried re-flashing the ROM, still getting the error. Had to reflash Blazer... works perfectly. Can someone please help? Thank you!
Is it android.Phone error? I fixed mine by turning mobile data on then off. I don't know if it'll work for you tho

in the op he posted because of the stuff hes working on with the rom other kernels will not work yet...
tldr wait for update it will get fixed
Its really weird.. I've tried flashing a few different ROMs since and I'm still getting "unfortunately, phone has stopped" as soon as I click OK it pops back up right away. Seems to do this for every CM based ROM. Know how to get rid of that kernel?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
I thought kernels change with each flash? Im not sure tho.. But if it does that again try turning mobile data on then off. Your problem sounded like mine. So just try that and let me know if that works for you

It won't let me do anything on the phone because that error window literally pops up as soon as its closed. Any other suggestions? I appreciate the help!

Try airplane mode to. That seems to stop it. Then turn mobile data on then off. Then keep trying it

Either you're screwing with me cause I'm new or you are not understanding the problem.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
Nope. I had the same issue as you. I was getting the same error. Even with the message popping back up back to back. I still got to airplane mode. But I would never **** with someone just because your new. Just trying to help. Thats all.
So given that it keeps happening go back to a touchwiz rom. But I heard flashing from cm to tw is dangerous. So I would use odin.
Have a nice day.
haha hes forreal. might take some quick finger work but airplane mode will stop it so you can toggle data.

No dice... doesn't work. Even tried formatting my SD and unrooting/rerooting the phone. Very frustrating, I don't know what else to do.

Well. Last option. Unroot it. And clear your bootloader counter and go to stock.. If you have the insurance.. Very sorry man. Unless someone could help you. Maybe post some logcats. But I doubt thats even possible... Very sorry.

Dude!! I got it! I download the clockwork ROM manager and flashed the newest paranoid ROM from there and didn't flash the gapps right away. Its been running amazing all day! So pummed, I thought I was doomed.

Hello. As you can see in this screenshot, I'm having some wake activity when my screen is off and I have all auto sync off. I'm not sure what's causing this. And also my WiFi is on all the time and I have it only awake when plugged in. Can someone help me thx.
As far as I know I came to realization of this problem after doing the free unlocking method. Dunno if that can be the cause.
I'm on wicked v7 w/ ktoonz kernel.

That seems about normal actually. But if you are not satisfied, get better battery stats from the play store. It will detail on what is keeping your device awake

Your network signal looks like the problem. When you have a weak signal, the phone has to compensate, so it cranks up the power to the antenna.
The past week I have been away from WiFi and noticed that my phone will disconnect from the network and not reconnect. It seems to happen randomly. I am on the latest xenon HD for toro plus.
If I flash a different kernel would it help fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated

Look at kmsg/dmesg and logcat to try and see whats happening, forward those logs to your ROM dev. Try to give something back.
I don't have access to a computer to do a log cat. Why I'm asking because I can down load stuff from WiFi to fix it.

You are rooted... At least you can get kmsg.
At the very least, you need to work on the description of your issue - "I have been away from WiFi" doesn't tell me anything.
So, what are you having issues with? Mobile network stability?
Check your bootloader/radio, RIL/baseband combos (you should be on whatever latest bootloader version there is, RIL/baseband must match)
Does the kernel you use alter stock voltages? Make sure SR (smart reflex) is active and try again. If SR is already on, try to disable it, and work on the voltages yourself, although I'm not sure you will be able to troubleshoot all this with your current knowledge (estimated from the way you opened this thread). This is the only way kernel may be afecting anything here.
RIL/baseband are kernel independent.
It's not good principle if something's broken/not working already, to start flashing more stuff on top of it - look around you: does anyone on that ROM thread experiences the same issue recently, or is it just you?

Welcome to android 4.3 LOL. Here's a fix for most of us, from the phone dialer dial *#0011# It brings up a hidden menu. Turn off "WIFI POWER SAVE MODE" then a reboot.
I cant seem to figure it out. The wifi power save stays on when I reboot, unless im doing something wrong
EDIT: I found out the setting doesn't hold after reboot, bit that doesn't explain the slow speed when wifi power saver is off

Your fine ! Just that Kitkat is all the rage, so I assumed you were on that too.
Try this : Settings >>> Apps >>>>ALL... Find the settings running app. Then CLEAR CACHE. You cannot clear data though.
Hope it helps !
Also, Philz latest (I think 6.14 or 6.16) has some bugs. I would just flash a generic CWM. TWRP latest also is buggy.
Thanks Man I appreciate your help. I'm not so sure about the e980 and KitKat yet on ATT sounds pretty buggy so I'm still holding off.

Hey community, I need your help here pretty bad. I was running the aicp 7.0 release but ended up flashtooling back to bone stock. I am getting constant and random reboots. Sometimes it is a bootloop, sometimes it gets to the att logo, sometimes it makes it to my home screen, and sometimes I can actually use it for 10 or 15 minutes but it always fails and reboots. Is there anything I can try? I am totally stumped. I figured a tot file flash back to stock would have solved this but it didn't. It almost seems like a hardware failure but I have never dropped it, got it wet nothin. Another real odd deal is when I can't get it to come out of a loop, if I take the back cover off it will start up. I thought maybe it was the connection on the back cover so I put a piece of tape over it but it still does it, but even now it is working with the back cover off but randomly reboots. Its always like this, my signal drops to no bars with the red x and then freezes then reboots. Sometimes it's when I wake it up, and sometimes it's when I start a program. Can anyone please give me some hope?
