Maximum number of bluetooth connections? - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Now with HDMI working I'm more than willing to carry around my HDMI cable and charger to play some ROMs on the go, preferably co-op ones like Contra, or Super Smash Brothers, or MvC1 :O!
With that said, whats the max number of bluetooth connections one can have for the Evo?

I don't know the maximum, but I always have my Plantronics Voyager Pro and my Sony-Ericsson MBW-150 BT watch connected at the same time.

THIS! I have to wrangle some random bluetooth devices together to see how many I can connect.
Multiple Bluetooth + Marvel vs Capcom + HDMI = WIN.

Does the hdmi cable come with the evo or is it the use?

Is HDMwIn broken?

Mirroring doesn't work. I tried it 2 days ago at my mom's house and it worked. I disbanded update to the app yesterday and it doesn't work. The cable I have is new.

So are you saying you did update?
I updated and it doesn't work. It was working before the update. I tried it on 3 different tv's and my cable is brand new. My port isn't corroded or loose.
I use full HDMI for evo (the green one) on many TVs and several roms and haven't had a problem.

More information is needed. What ROM? What exactly happened? Have you tried another HDMI cable? Captured a logcat so we can see whats going on? This post would be better suited for the HDMwIn thread.

I used FullHDMI + Slingbox to mirror an entire Heat game on Friday when I was out of town. Followed that up with some Pandora. Today I mirrored some ESPN on the TV at work during lunch, too. As a matter of fact, I got most people going to lunch at the same time that I do so they can watch ESPN, too. lol (We don't get ESPN with the TV subscription package we have at work)
You get what you for, I guess. Well worth price of pizza, IMO.
I'm running UD and then I flashed CM7 to see if it would happen it still does the same. The cable I have is new and is the correct one. I tried it on two Phillips TVs and a Samsung. The phone doesn't do anything when I plug it in. It comes up with cable undetected.

Can you get a kmsg and/or logcat while you try to mirror? Any information would help in figuring it out.
I don't know how to logcat. Great job on the app by the way.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
are you familiar with adb. go into shell and type logcat. there is a way to output it into a .txt file but I can't remember the way you set it up. ctrl+c will stop the output.
Just got my micro Hdmi cable. I had hdmwin working but it seems the cable can be flaky and not keep its connection. Anyone have this issue? Cable was bought from monoprice.com
Edit: I have it working now. Just have to keep the phone in place. Works well now

Phone 2 tv?

Hey XDA..can someone confirm the "t.v. Out" option for galaxy S's? Apparently its only the international models? Will a HDMI via usb cable allow me to link mobile through tv. Ive also read GS's play video through the headphone jack, can rca jacks do the trick? Im lookn to watch my phone movies on the "big screen". Is there an app for this action? Thanxs again. U guys make this easy!

It is a belief that there are too many blocks for it on Froyo but Gingerbread should open it up for use...may not be included in stock GB but who here uses stock..lol?

Nice! So maybe.......
What's so frustrating is that if u look deep into the phone, its active and working. Its almost as if sprint has a block on it not samsung. In addition, if u download pro launcher u can create a shortcut for the tvout settings but it just forcecloses when u try to open. I'm dying for this feature so bad!!!

You know maybe they will finally let it out. Wasn't sprint tv the reason they wonked it for us? Because of the deal they had with the provider of that service or something. I hear they're doing away with it. Or they're gonna start charging for it or something.

now since i don't have two xbox's I can only stream it to one TV which is meh..

I think u are missing the point, a lot of ppl want it to MIRROR to a tv. What's the point of connecting wireless to tv when u can only watch pictures and videos from ur phone memory. 3.5mm Tvout is so useful that u can connect to ANY tv. Think about it, how many tvs out there don't have RCA inputs????

If I'm not mistaken the support for TV out the Epic has is limited to USB -> HDMI.
I'm not 100% on this, there could also be support for TV out via the headphones jack.
But going by what most phones these days do, I'd say we'll see it via USB->HDMI before we do via 3.5mm headphone jack.

No Dice. MHL (aka mini USB -> HDMI) is a no go. EC05 Syndicate 1.2.
Like the 3.5mm, the usb to hdmi is also running but won't work. If u look deep into phone, u can see that its there but blocked somehow . Its believed to be blocked by sprint
Rumors say gingerbread update might unblock. But ofcourse don't hold your breath for either the update or unblock

Double set of BT earphones

Is there some way you can have two sets of Bluetooth earphones connected to audio simultaneously? I'd like to listen together with my girlfriend when we take a walk.

Appreciate the kind advice, sometimes we like to talk about music, hence the desire to listen simultaneously. Speakers are not a good option in the environment where we walk, her expiry date hasn't been to approach yet so I'll keep her for a while longer. I'm thinking that there are lots of situations that woul benefit from multiple BT connections, I can have s keyboard and speakers connected simultaneously do why not two sets of speakers?

Lol, I can always rely on xda for a chuckle
But sadly no, I scoured the Internet for similar help last week, and it's impossible, although not sure why.
The only option is to stick with wires via a splitter, or.... Belkin I believe have an adapter which goes into the headphone socket and has two bluetooth transmitters on the other end.
But apart from those clunky solutions, there's no way. Perhaps a Dev can explain why. Personally a software fix which allowed sound via both the socket and blue tooth would do it for me, but again it doesn't seem possible.

maybe its possible if you connect a bluetooth adapter to otg, and the otg identifies the bluetooth adapter and allows you to connect another bluetooth peripheral.
maybe a miccus mini jack tx is what you need. Saw this bluetooth device that plugs in the headphone jack and transmits wirelessly to a bluetooth headset. THis way you can transmit calls to your bluetooth headset and the music to the miccus jack.
I have a belking wired splitter, it works well, I bought it from my local asda.

[Q] Car USB Listening? & Ubuntu OS?

So my car has an AUX port and a USB port to play music. I had an iphone before this device and I could use the remote that came with my audio system only when using the USB mode. Now my car will say "USB Device not supported" when I use my microUSB cable with my phone. AUX works fine, but the remote doesn't work with it. I don't like looking at my screen while I'm driving at all since you never know..
Anywho, I was wondering if there was an app or something that would allow my car to recognize it? If not, some third party equipment that was cheap that I could by so I could play music from the USB part? I would love that.
Lastly, is any DEV working on Ubuntu for this device, or interested it? I would love that haha, it looks awesome.
I knew someone would be THAT GUY and ask about Ubuntu after they announced it for the GNEX.
