Has anyone found the solution to this problem? Im assuming its a permission setting of sme sort somewhere, but I havent been able to find it. (The Logs saying someting about an MSL response error)
My RMs phone updates fine, but mine doesnt.. The only difference is that when I upgraded him to DK28 when it came out, I didnt use a custom/rooted on his.
Any ideas? (Ive wiped, stocked, custom, downgraded,wiped morec, etc... no go.)

I get an error when trying to update my PRL as well. Apparently it's a sprint problem that will (hopefully) go away on its own eventually.
Sometimes i get Unknown error and sometimes says Internal error. when trying to update PRL.
It started with just the PRL not updating and now the Profile won't update as well. This is definitely a Sprint issue and is probably caused to the stress on the towers from pushing EC05. Hopefully things will calm down some this coming week.

There is a fix for it. I think it's in development. It fixed mine but I couldn't find it where I thought it was in my phone.

You have to call sprint and have them change your msid didn't try myself but there was someone posting on here a couple months ago can't remember which thread it was it was something similar to this

That fix posted a few messages back never worked. It came out the same day Sprint fixed the network errorand 90% of the Epics were fixed. The person creating the fix thought they came across something good but it was just a coincidence. If you work with Sprint over the phone with Customer Care and they can't get it working through various resets, then they will write a repair ticket and you will more than likely get a refurb phone for replacement.

I noticed it earlier in the afternoon. Also other people have reported the issue as well in another thread.
You can delete the widget. When you add it back don't select current location. Select your city and add it back and it will work then.
Hopefully this issue gets resolved soon.

it's something with the HTC Sense servers. A lot of information in HTC Sense is pushed to our phones from the HTC Sense servers (Facebook for HTC Sense, Twitter for HTC Sense, Stock, Weather, and etc).

Unfortunately I thought I was going crazy and DID a clean install of several ROMS trying to figure out what the heck was going on. Go so fatigued that I totally forgot about the weather problem that started me on this path! LOL

It has nothing to do with adding or removing the widget. I explained in my post and so does Android Central. It's a server related issue. HTC's servers pull the information and push it to our phones. I stated it was HTC's servers and Android Central thinks it the weather service's servers.
http://www.androidcentral.com/htcs-weather-provider-appears-be-under-weather-itself either way it's not the update or a widget issue.

The issue is if you have it set to "current location" it no longer works. Setting it the way I explained will also not allow the weather to change based on your location.

Every picture i take has some weird color filter applied. It started doing this randomly after moving up to CM7. Sometimes it will just randomly go away but it comes back. Is there something I am missing?

That sounds like your problem. Flash back to a stock rom. If it works fine there, then its the rom you are using. You can try and re-wipe (everything) and then re-flash cm7. If it doesn't help, then your camera has gone bad, and you will need to unroot and return to stock, and take it to a sprint store for replacement.

No that's seemed very time consuming and unnecessary. Though on another note the camera is working fine now. But if time has shown me anything it will break again. This will be difficult to prove to a sprint technician...

Any sprint repair center. Look on sprint.com for a list of repair centers. Best Buy will only help you in the first 30 days of having the phone. After that, sprint honors the warranty.

Good to know. Unfortunately, there is no repair center within 100 miles of me . Sprint told me that I would still have to take the phone to a repair center, though they offered to troubleshoot with me when I got a tiny bit upset about that. The problem has went away, but I know it will be just a matter of time before it returns.
At the end of the call I asked the technician what I should do when the problem comes back. He told me that I could get an advance replacement through mail because I live so far away .
They also said I would have to pay for it because I do not have TEP. Is this correct being that this seems to be a hardware malfunction?
How Do we OPT out of these sprint weather alerts? I have gone into my messaging settings and turned them off. But I still get the stupid flood warning texts. When I delete them, they just keep coming through. I received like 20 text alerts yesterday because it rained lol. Any way to block them? I called sprint yesterday and the lady I spoke to, knew nothing about them lol.

You can opt out of most (but not all) wireless emergency alerts. On page two of this link is instructions on how to opt out:

The code you put in the dialer doesn't work (at least for me) on CM9. Hope this helps.

yea i called sprint and the tech rep didnt know of anything about these alerts. She kept saying it must be an app ive downloaded or something. I clearly told her its in the messaging settings lol. she just referred me to go to a sprint store in which im not doing.

this is called CMAS.. its an emergency alert system.. it was put in effect by the u.s. government.. all carriers need to broadcast emergency alerts. i know us cellular customers started 6/26.. and i can confirm ive received them on sprint in phoenix az..

Just switched from an HTC EVO 4G rooted. Now using S3 rooted. I'm not a fan of Google Navigator. I've been using TeleNav for a few years now and would like to get it working on the S3. I tried:
1) Downloading the free version from Google Play. It simply only offers Premium Upgrade prices and exits if you say no. Doesn't seem to be anything free about it.
2) Copied over my APK file from my EVO, installed that and got the same behavior.
3) Spend a bit of time googling for this and came up empty.
I assumed TeleNav was offered to all Sprint customers, was this something HTC specific?
Mine works perfectly fine.

Google nav seemed slower on responses... but that was on my old epic. It could be better now for all I know.
Also telenav had a green bar that fills up as you approach a turn. It helps out.

I started having the same problem today on the S3 where i was gstting prompted to pay for the app, but the Telemav app is still free on my HTC Shift. I am on the phone with Sprint and have been for 45 minutes and they don't have a clue. I just got escalated so we shall see.

For those of you still having the problem.
If you have uninstalled TeleNav make sure you install it again.
Go to settings.
Click on apps.
Go to TeleNav.
Click on clear DATA.
Go to settings.
Go to system updates.
Click on Update profile.
Go back to TeleNav and enjoy once again.
Since starting this thread I uninstalled several times, cleaned cache, wipe data, tried different versions, etc. As stated earlier sometime Saturday it started working on its own. I noticed I happened to be data roaming on Saturday and figured I'd try it and it worked. But it also worked when I had Sprint signal again -- not related, just a coincidence.
So thanks for spending the hours on the phone. Looks like the fix was not specific to just you.
I don't think they fixed the problem for all of us Saturday ..let us know if you're still having problems

So anyone having battery drain problems its probably because of this file taxing the CPU at 100%. All I did was rename it to include .bak and removed the execute permission. Phone is now sleeping and virtually no lag. All that urks me now is that wifi direct is disabled in this build.
