GPS drops in and out CM7/30 - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am sure its been posted but I wont be around my PC for awhile to search. So I apologize in advance if its been beaten to death. Unfortunately I need my GPS till then.
GPS will lock at 2500 meters then maybe in 5 minutes at best it will move to 40-60 meters but Bounce right back out to 2000's and go crazy.

Backup your CM7, wipe and flash a sense ROM. dial ##gpsclrx# this will reboot your phone. Once it reboots, open GPS and get a lock. One it locks, reboot to recovery and wipe/nandroid back to CM7.

Just so happens I have warm on my phone. Thanks!!

Getting a set up loop installing Warm. Keeps looping "please wait" screen.
I noticed in the recovery at Flash it was sitting on installing then said complete but in the background the installing animation was still going? I put cm7 back to log in.

From what I am seeing this seems to have fixed my issue. When I did it I was in a lower signal area so I might try it again. I was able to lock to 4 meters though in the sense rom and cm wasn't flakey.

Mines never failed probably user error.

Whenever I camp out on WiFi, the GPS doesn't lock. I have to reboot. Try a reboot. It should lock on instantly after..
My gps always works and never fails maybe urs is faulty

GPS dead after trying out sense rom

Hadn't fooled with sense in ages so I decided to try out nocturnal's rooted stock rom. Everything worked flawlessly, except for the fact that sense totally blows. So after the battery died I restored my nand and returned to my wonderfully functional deck 1.2 setup, only to find that GPS is now totally AWOL. Tries to lock but says that GPS is unavailable. I tried re-flashing the GPS .1 and 1.1 drivers, and even fixed apk uid mismatches, but no dice.
Anyone got any ideas? Was thinking I might have to flash back to sense and back, but I hope that isn't the case..

Wifi loop on ics

I havnt been able to connect to wifi the past few weeks i thought it was just my home wifi but it doesnt work at public wifi hotspots and tethering has stoped working aswell. The phone connects then authenticates the acquires an ip then loops back to the original non connected state. Is this like damaged hardware or is it an OS issue possibly an app screwin it up. Ive seen other people with this problem but no anwsers. I'm running stock everything.

you can lose your wifi simply by holding the left side while its sideways and if your holding the top as you type on it. I just simply cant connect to wifi anymore im on stock rooted rom i might try a full wipe with a new rom/kernel

[Q] Issues - UGH

I'm having some issues. I am on Incredible HD RLS 2, I haven't been able to get on WiFi and this isn't the only ROM where WiFi isn't working. It will just never connect. Well, I tried to install ICS Official global CM9 upon initial boot it said it couldn't read my SIM. I powered down pulled the SIM put it back in and put the phone back together and then I couldn't get any service. No matter what I did I have no service.
Yes I followed all the instructions, wiped everything, flashed the proper gapps and the kernel.
Since that didn't work I went back to my nand and still no service. Anyone have any suggestions?? Please help
On global cm9 rum through setup and change network mode to cdma/evdo becuz it defaults to gsm
I'm so fresh you can suck my nits...
Will give it a shot, thanks.

Awesome, got service back, but WiFi is still not working. It just forever searches and never connects to a network. Anyone have any ideas?
This happens to me sometimes and restarting my router usually clears it up, not sure if you have tried that, just throwing it out there.
I can't reset the router, I'm on a college campus. I have the latest firmware and radios, switched out rom after Rom and still WiFi doesn't work. Any other suggestions?

GPS CM11 Help

Before anyone gets upset I did search for awhile before asking about this. I'm sure the answer is in a thread somewhere I just can't find it and the search ability in the xda app is terrible.
GPS is not working in cm11 and I know to fix you must flash a backup. I'm just looking for a good walkthru. I'm wondering things such as: Do I do a complete wipe?(not the SD partition obviously) After flashing backup and getting a gps lock do I immediately shutdown and boot into recovery? Before I flash cm11 should I do a fresh install or a backup? My Cm11 M4 is running flawlessly except for the gps. Any help would be amazing. I am going on the road for at least 3 months and will need the gps in proper working order while I'm out there. Thanks guys! Love xda!

What I did was
make nandroid of aosp rom.
Wipe all except internal storage
Restore/flash stock based rom
##gpsclrx# (##4772579#)
Enter msl (call sprint for it if u don't have it)
Phone will reboot
Open location settings, disable network/wifi location
Open maps, get lock, walk around a little bit, around 5 minutes
Reboot recovery
Wipe all except internal storage
Restore aosp
As always, ymmv but that's always fixed it for me
