So I never had any problems with my phone untill today. An orange triangle popped up saying something about the sd card then it would reboot. It would do that a couple of times then when it restarts it force closes. I reflashed the rom and it worked okay then the problem happened again. I changed roms again and its working at the time. I was just wondering if anyone knows what might have been the problem.

Need a lot more info. What rom, what OS, what apps you using to all this flashing.
I was using syndicate rom 1.0.2 and I flashed it through clockworkmod. I didn't back up my data. I just started everything from scratch.

Ive installed a couple roms calks evio and sprint lovers and both of them worked perfectly then just randomly my dialer (phone app) went away and the only way I can get it back is re-flash the rom. Whys this happening any help?

I couldn't tell ya. Re-flash to get it back. Are you on any custom kernel?
Yeah but it sites it on stock kernel too and it's not just the phone dialer it randomly happens with other specific apps like nba gametime

When you re-flash, do you do so on a clean install?
No I just wipe cache and it works but I think the problem is my new launcher, this started happening after I installed lg home launcher

Lately I've been really annoyed with phone, for some reason it just randomly reboots for God knows what reasons! Is this common or even a known issue ?
Are you running stock or a custom rom and kernel? I've never had a reboot with stock or on Starburst with lostkernel.

I dunno man, if that isn't happening without some 'aftermarket modifications', umm, I'd swap the damn phone. That isn't normal. I never get reboots unless I am overclocking on perf gov with everything maxed out...and that's pretty much it. If you are getting reboots just sitting there or dicking around on the internet that would be more than enough reason for me to take it in and swap it out...especially if you can reproduce the it for them.
Thanks for the replies guys, to answer your questions no I'm completely stock running stock kernel and it happens whenever I'm online or some apps will trigger it. I'd hate to restore but I think it's the only way
Ive had it a couple times.
It started after uploading app from market installing it while I was deleting one at same time
device crashed reboot took place.
From that point a had a couple reboots within days Touchwiz error displaying automatically going to phone keypad no escape from it.
I ended up doing factory reset fixed it all is well
did you by chance take an SD card out if another phone and pop it into that phone? if so, back up whatever data is on it, and try formatting it (if that cures the reboots, obviously something on the sd is corrupt and not cooperating with the system... dont restore anything from that backup you took after formatting) I would then try a facotry reset if the previous doesn't work. if the factory reset doesn't cure it, I'd swap the phone.

Thanks guys, I installed all the apps I could to the sd card. In other words all the apps were in the internal memory and that seems to fix the issue.
I'm not rooted and I'm getting random reboots.

How do I find out which Android process is force closing? It happens every time I restart my phone. It doesn't happen too often but it happens at least once every time I restart. The notification does not say which process, it only says Android process. Sometimes my default keyboard, swiftkey x, is replaced by swype after force closing the Android process. Thanks in advance.
Edit: it actually says the application Android system force closes

That actually means "Android System" is force closing. I know useful right? I don't remember where to get the information that might help figure out why but typically a full wipe and a reflash will take care of it.

yea you may have deleted something thats acting up or maybe you installed something your phone is not happy with. I would try to do as the poster above said or run fix permissions in recovery or Rom Manager and see what happens
Are you on an EL13 build? What is your exact setup? If its EL, I may know why.

Yes I'm on calks 2.5, so I'm on el13. Also I don't mind reflashing and a wipe, but if there is an easier way, I would prefer to do that.

I do know that undervolting was causing a lot of people to have reboots including myself. I reduced it from 75 to 50. Also did you use Titanium Backup to restore data to your apps. That also causes some issues
I have neither manually undervolted my phone nor backed it up using titanium, so i dont think its from that

I was told that the Android System is calling a file that doesn't exist on EL13. Is it only when you power on phone? Strongsteve found it and fixed it on his ROM but I don't have the knowledge to locate it myself. Is 2.5 Calk's latest update? If he has a newer build, you may want to update. Maybe he found it and fixed it as well.

Since installing Calkulin's 2.6 and EL13, Google Maps has been force closing on me after reboots. I'll be watching this in case it's a related issue.
Is anyone having the issue where the phone freezes and then goes to the lockscreen and reloads?...when it does this, my clock reads the wrong time until i reboot...

Try clearing your cache.
Or try one of the ics ROMs from the development section

I was having that problem the first 2 days of stock Rooted ICS. Oddly, the problem stopped on it's own without the need for further action :/

Well i know with my hd2 that the rom free space was a problem...i had 77mb free with gb and 6mb with ics...so i uninstalled all the apps i wasn't using with titanium and gained 100mb extra...so the rom has room to do it's thing...we'll see if this works...

same here - time "changes" throughout the day
I had the same problem.
OK here's my scenario, I rooted once I upgraded from the kies ics update via the stock root on GalaxyS2Root.com and then had these problems, I then get (very) angry and decided to try it a different way, so I un-rooted, still having hang then fast restart with buttons lit up. So after I put stock ics on there I did a factory reset in stock recovery, then re-rooted now it's Ok, even though the wifi strength is horrific on the stock ics regardless (anyone else having this problem?). But this permanently fixed my problem. Hope this helped!
P.S. - I froze almost all of the stock bloatware with titanium backup as well still works great!
so my phone keeps turning off but i need to take out the battery to start it up after i do that the phone boots normally then when everything loads up it turns of i tried factory resting it worked for a wile then problem happends again. i wiped system and everthing and flashed the some rom again and still problem????
Is this happened after rooting?

No It just acting like this out of nowhere?

maybe its just the ROM, i remember i used to have this issue and it only happened on certain ROMS, i recommend hyperdrive, i have had no issues with that ROM. always try other ROMS, cause like i said, it could just be a ROM issue.
