Very very stock android on HTC evo

So I'm kinda new to posting on these forums I usually download roms flash and kernels and all that good stuff. Anyway is there some way one of these great devs on this site make a Rom that's just ASOP just regular like the nexus one. I know there is cm6 and frost Rom (which I love both of those). I just really like the basic android, I've been told "o just get a different phone or bla bla" but I love the evo and would wonderfully appreciate that Rom. I figure there is no harm in asking so I did I'm sure there are others out there that want the same thing or close to it. The idea I have in my head is pull everything from a nexus one and throw it on the evo but Idk if that'll work.

Am I missing what the OP is asking..how much closer to AOSP can you get than CM6 ??

Cm6 isn't all the way stick being as tho it uses adw and has extra options I really need to make my own aosp Rom with 4g. I just want the very basic things

I don't think you will be able to include 4G in your AOSP rom unfortunately.

Is that just because the wimax signal isn't supported?

I haven't researched this at all, but because CM6 doesn't support 4G, I would assume that the HTC drivers are not open source.

Meh o well I live in a 4g city but its no deal breaker. I just want a rom with great battery life and good - excellent performance idc if the rom is sense or not I just like the notification bar and froyo launcher

Anyone have a copy of UltimateDroid 3.3.0 ROM or a link?
I keep reading great things about the ROM but cant find a copy.
Is anyone using it and what is it like?

Yeah I have one on my sd card still =). I dunno how to upload it to anything though but it was speedy. I liked it, just the lockscreen has that ultimate droid on it. I may even go back to it lol. If someone can tell me how to upload it I will.

Maybe email it to him? Or go to mediafire or some other filesharing website and just upload it and give him the link

Dude, its the best rom. Even though its 2.3.3 and does not use the newest kernel patch its still supurb! Been using as my daily drive for a while now

Trust me...it is that good. Its stable and VERY speedy. I never had a sinlge issue with it. If it used the newer kernels id be on it still. It had this thing where you could download different boot animations fonts and everything, the servers have went down and the rom has become like the villainrom. I haven't even tried villainrom. I think the dev was in a flood or major thing happened and he has been rebuilding his life. Hopefully he comes back, I found out about it late.

its a rom, thats different. Can't really refer you to a changelog since his site has been down but yeah...its a great rom...trust me.

I liked villian rom a lot but it kept soft rebooting so idk, they had a good rom so idk why the abandoned it.

Lol this keeps getting asked. Its a rom that's different. I'm not a developer so I truly can't tell you. I think its based off cm7. Its very speedy and what made it great was the ability to change boot animations, fonts, themes and all kinds of stuff on the fly. They were built in I should say. It was always stable for me and if it ran the new kernel id be on it for sure. You can't download that stuff anymore because his servers are down. He was in a natural disaster so I think thays why. I hope that helped. If not I know you can google the rom and see reviews and stuff.

so this works for G2 right? Just checking cuz I tried to install a few others and they apparently weren't for G2

Definitely abandoned. I'm calling bull$hit on the whole natural disaster thing. The whole project went under a lot of heat and then it suddenly all stopped. I don't see it coming back, but I'd love to try it if it did. I don't want to use an outdated ROM though, because there is no support or future hope for it.

[Q] Install Aborted (Status 7) HTC Evo

I have looked at soooo many forums and still cannot find the answer. And just to start off, i am a complete noob, so please answer me like im legit stupid.
Everytime i try to flash a ROM it doesnt work and all that pops up is "Install Aborted (Status 7)." I have already tried clearing all cache and data before flashing, and also i am already updated to the latest Clock Work. (5.XX.XX) I really need to fix this by Monday, so please help if you can.

Make sure you have a non corrupt download, and you may need to turn off signature verification. The option is there right before you flash a rom.

Try using Amon Ra. There's a thread on how to install it in the Development section.

Amon Ra didnt even work, and the download isnt corrupted because ive tried different versions of the same ROM, and yet it still doesnt work. Any other ideas?

that rom is for the mt4g not for the evo 4g you can only flash roms ment for your device your lucky it didnt brick your phone

If you want a cool, stable ROM that isn't sense, yet has a ton of mods and options, try MIUI

It works!!! lol i guess the end result was just me being an idiot. lol

Random reboots

My phone has been rebooting it self at least once a day lately and Idk why its running the newest version of the express, I was just wondering if anyone could help this or know why its happening, thank you for any comments posted

This doesn't directly answer your question but that rom turned into Warm TwoPointThree so you may want to download that IF you haven't already.

Thanks Snoop, but I've already tried the warm ROM and I didn't really care for it. Other than that thank you for enlightening me on the fact of the transition.
