I just flashed to incredibly re-engineered v2.3.1, and I keep getting a htc sense force close loop. I'm pretty sure that i followed the steps to a T but I don't know what to do. I tried a wipe/factory reset and that really didn't do much for me. Plz HELP

Ive installed the "HTC Sense" ROM numerous times.
After installing everything works good for a while, things start messing up after i leave the phone down for a while or restart the phone. After the phone restarts i constantly GET FC's.
android.process.acore has stopped working
android.process.swype.inputmethod has stopped working
Occasionally GMail will FC to but that stopped after a factory reset.
Ive installed this ROM a good 5 times. IM coming from a deodexed STOCK android ROM.
Ive Wiped Dalvik
Did a factory/data reset
Chose the ZIP file
and booted back into system
and it works good until i leave the phone for a bit or restart it.
I flashed back to stock since i cant use the phone with the constant force closes.
I REALLLY would love to use the Sense ROM. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
I flashed 4.0b3 a few days ago and gave it a shot, but I am having a few issues still. I have opted to go back to 3.5 until the brightness bug and other issues are fixed, but I am having a problem reverting back.
I cleaned the dalvik cache, and when I try to flash back to 3.5, I reboot after install is complete, I get as far as the fresh screen and from there it proceeds to boot loop. I am not entirely sure how to handle this.
Flashing roms is still a relatively new process for me so I apologize for the newb question in advance. Any help would be appreciated.
*EDIT* Please ignore this. I ended up reformatting and doing a clean backup instead.
I am running on the official htc 2.3 rom for the desire however recently when I
boot my device everything loads except for htc sense, which renders the device useless. I'm attaching what logcat gave me after running for 5 seconds. Any help is appreciated.
Maybe you could try flashing the 2.3 RUU again to see whether that will fix the problem.
I've been trying to figure out for the last hour or so why this rom hasn't been flashing correctly.
1. I've already loaded DZ HBoot onto the phone with S-OFF and had loaded the SenseGinger 3.0 Rom. Loved the layout but it was kinda slow for me. So that's when i was looking up other roms and found RunnyDrOiD v5.0 By PVTEAM.
2. next thing I did was download the Rom Manager, Flashed ClockworkMod Recovery sucessfully and selected install rom from sd card, (in which I had loaded the RunnyDroid rom on my sd card already.
3. Im in Recovery, wiped data, and the installation started. The problem I'm facing is that the installation says it was sucessful and says Rebooting, but the progress bar in the background is still going (looks like it was at 25%). Phone Reboots. Now it'll first start up with the HTC Logo, shuts off, then reboots again with the HTC Logo then goes back to clockworkmod recovery. I attempted to do it again, but still have the same results.
Anyone have any idea that I'm facing this problem? I really hope I can get this on my phone as the RunnyDroid rom looks really clean looking, and with other users reporting it to be fast, It's driving me nuts that I can test this rom out! *sad panda*
Anyone's help or support is greatly appreciated.
actually lock this thread. found out what the problem was. I flashed the wrong hboot. Be sure to use the DZ HBOOT FOR ANYONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM. Thank you all anyway.
Hey,
I'm new to writing in the forum but have been viewing topics for quite some time.
In the past week I had my HTC One X crashing on me with 'com.google.process.gapps' / 'Android.process.acore' has stopped unexpectedly causign all the apps not to work.
I'm running Jelly beans (4.1.1) with Sense 4+.
I browsed the forums for a while and saw suggestions to cancel google internet sync and to clear to contacts cache.
I did both and after it did not help I tried factory reset and recovery boot.
Although things run a bit better i'm still encountering these errors every now and then (and I have to hard boot the device).
Any suggestions how to resolve this issue ? Could it be a hardware malfunction ?
Would love to hear any thoughts on the matter.
full wipe and reflash could solve the problem, or maybe you downloaded a corrupted zip but the ROM still managed to flash - happened to me before.
My phone is not rooted and does not use a custom ROM so I don't think a corrupted zip is the issue. Should I root it just for reflashing it ?
