I'm running Gingerbread (UD 3.1.1) and for some reason cannot change the Gmail.apk email notification icon in the status bar.
I have changed all instances of "stat_notify_email.png" in the "Gmail.apk > Res" folder.
Also tried Ninjamorph and Metamorph with no success.
I've searched everywhere and I have done this before but for some reason I cannot change.
Also is there a application cache folder? The reason I ask because I have a themed Gmail.apk and even if I uninstall all instances of the app and reinstall Gmail from the market it still shows the themed Gmail.

I am not familiar with UD 3.1.1. Does it use the T-Mobile Theme Chooser? If so, does the theme you are using include a themed Gmail icon?

Yes it uses theme chooser. Does not seem like the regular gmail icon.
Solved. The gmail notification icon was in /data/app/(themename.apk) for Theme Chooser.

Is there a relatively simple way to change the font on the epic? I'm running ACS 1.1 and was using AA's revolution remix theme but after a couple of weeks my phone started acting up. Performed a restore in clockwork mod, re-flashed theme and in a couple of weeks the phone was again unresponsive. So once again I am without a custom theme, which isn't so bad, but I REALLY miss the font in revolution remix, it was so much easier on the eyes. Can anyone offer some insight?
Type fresh app in the market.... you will also need andexplorer.... I use the font from the android logo
You can google .ttf fonts to download, save the fonts you want to try/use onto your SD card. Then, download FontChanger from the market and load the fonts. Very fun to experiment with a lot of the fonts. LOL
Custom font changer. Its free in the market

Yes, you can do the same for any theme. Just make sure you delete the other folders except the fonts folder.

Custom Font Changer from market works, but when selecting different fonts, everything always appears either completely in bold or all regular. For example, gmail messages are all coming up as bold regardless of whether message is read or unread. With original SRF 1.2 font, gmail read messages are not bold.
Probably a silly question, but am I missing a setting in the app or something else that will address this?
Hey guys. I have been on CM7 for a while now but have never used or even looked at the Theme Engine before. I was hoping that you guys could answer a few basic questions about it:
1. Are these THEMES also launchers as well? Currently I am using CM7 with GoLauncher. If I install a Theme will it replace Go Launcher as the default launcher or will it theme Go Launcher?
2. Is there a massive thread that has a list of all the CM7 Themes? I have only been able to find individual theme threads (MattedBlues, etc.)
3. I like custom icons but I hate when I have apps that aren't supported...they stick out like a sore thumb on the desktop. Is that the issue with the THEME ENGINE themes or do they alter the default icons on their own?
Thanks in advance!
1)the themes dont overwrite your launcher, use what you prefer.
2)I believe there is a thread somewhere with all themes try google, there is also alot of them on the market.
3)some themes do have custom icons, depends on what the theme creator included.
Here's a list of some themes.you want HDPI for the evo http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1046108

Thanks a lot for your input guys! I tried a few out. The only thing I'm not liking is when there are custom icons. More than likely they don't have customized icons for ALL the apps you want to display on your desktop. Then you either have to have ugly mismatching icons or remove the unsupported icons from your desktop altogether.
Can any of you guys advise on a THEME that themes all your existing icons?

Thank you Fergie....that is the exact idea I was looking for. Do you know if there is a black theme that has a similar effect (making all of your icons have a dark/black tint? I already tried DarkGinger. but it only has customized icons...and not very many of them.
Hello everyone, sorry for not posting any screenshots for the first version but i didnt have my phone that day to do so and then I got busy with school. This version has the same status bar icon, i will be changing them a little pretty soon and also i will be theming some apps. I attempted to theme the MMS bubbles but they didnt come out right so I left it the way they were...lol
Whats themed:
Status bar icons
Toggles
MMS icon
My files icon
Clock icon
Calender icon
Web Icon
GoogleQuickSearchBar
GenieWidget
These icons were not made by me so i take no credit for them, i just put them in the right place which did take me a while to figure out. I will be doing the same with other icons pretty soon. Im also going to work on theming MMS and settings to match the colors in the theme along with changing the status bar icons.

How? Extracting then replacing the icons? The question is that I changed the icons they are there but no changes, only in recent apps.

there are many techniques to install icons
1. If you want to install icons then download the icon pack by abhirockz and replace the icons in it with the ones you want
2. There is a software named as "apk edit" which allows you to change the name and icon of the desired apk.
Any more probs? PM me

On Google Play I found the Hologlass theme for Theme chooser devices and thought it would go perfect will KitKat's UI. Did some searching and found a Hologlass theme for Xtheme engine. I love it, but the only problem is a wish transparent settings worked, but it doesn't.
When I open settings, it is transparent while opening, but goes to a black settings background. I know I can port over CM10 themes to use in Xtheme (I'm just too lazy) but I want to make sure it actually works for transparent settings.
Anyone know if transparent settings works? Any mods to make it transparent? Thanks.
