Extended battery skins (For clip) or case

Hey guys,
I know a lot of you are looking for this.
I have found a site which has these in stock and is selling. I bought two.

Pretty cheap if you ask me.

They all look pretty poorly cut... maybe if they done better it would be worth it, but looking at all the jagged cuts on those skins... it would be cheaper to just buy one of ebay for less and poorly cut the thing myself.

Money should always trumps lazyness. $3 vs $13...

ehh i just cut mine i wish they came out with one that actually covers the battery.. anyone find one yet?

Those look terrible. I cut mine and it doesn't look that bad.

Would like 2 in white, I had to make my own.... & it' s wearing out after only 1- months heavy use... Also lookin' 4 a 2nd extended battery.... 2 keep ready charged...

I had done my own cut back 15 days ago, photos are outdated but you get the idea. In addition, I had ran a lighter around the freshly cut edges to smooth out the lines. It's better looking in person, that's for sure.

I feel kind of bad now cuz everyone's jumping on the dude trying to sell the pre-cuts... I just wanted to give props because at least he tried.

Shrug. I just buy from by buddy. I have 2. He only sells black though.
So far, Ive had mine from his pre-release ones. and its holding up quite well.

Those are the ruff cut pics. I dont think hes had time to update pics because hes had some family and whatnot. But, for the price. $13 vs 25.

Seidio is going to have their active case for the ThunderBolt which will cover the battery more than likely because they just released pictures of their SURFACE case and it covers the battery. Check it out and let me know what you think.

That looks pretty slick! Seems like it adds a fair amount of bulk to the phone though.

looks sick, depends if you want the buldge of the extended battery or this

either way you are going to get some bulk. but i must say that power skin looks mighty sexy!

It looks real nice but it covers the kickstand

Extended battery all the way, I didn't want to get it because of the added bulk. But after a couple days you realize is really isn't that bad at all, and actually helps when holding the phone in landscape mode.
Not to mention i'm getting a consistent 35-40+ hours out of a full charge with it.

Isn't there an upgradable battery which doesnt require a new door (no bulge)? Maybe a 1700mah?

It not only covers the stand, it adds another layer over the speakers. The Bolt isn't loud enough as is, good luck with the muted rings.

I've got two of them. The only thing 1700mah about them are the stickers on them. They're stock 1400mah batteries that unethical sellers re-labeled.

yea its basically another spare, but u plug into to. so it bumps the battery up to over 2900 depending on what battery you currently use. and the other reasons this is nice is because its also case, and with the other extended batteries look ugly and have no cases.

I want to get it but I had bought the seido extended battery surface case that blocked the kickstand and didn't like how it sounded and this one blocks it too so let us know if its worth it or how it sounds

It seems that covering up the back case containing the antenna with another battery could result in signal loss. Do they do anything special to avoid this?

seriously only reason i haven't got the active extended case is dew to the fact that it will cover up my speaker. I don't care what anyone says It has to affect it in some manner. And why take away my kickstand ?

not to get to defensive but you can still use the kickstand, it can act as a "stand" for the phone, theres a video for it, its probably a lot nice then with it regular back/extended because at least this is getting a charge while using the kickstand, where as regular charge, not possible without some help from towels etc.

Just look at how much the kickstand itself muffles the speaker. This'll probably make it unhearable in a pocket for notification beeps.

just got mine its pretty sweet, but its also huge. great if you travel or have long work days, but its so big using it for a night partying etc might be a little but to much

Mugen Extended Battery (Lots of Pics)

Hey guys,
Just got the mugen extended battery in the mail. Their regular shipping somehow took longer than 3 weeks and I still have not received the item, so I asked them to reship using FedEx. Guess what, it took 2 days to get to Richmond Hill, Canada, which is just north of Toronto.
Anyways, just though I'd upload some high quality pics with measurements so if any of you guys are planning on buying it, you guys have a sense of how things ll look when you get it.

After using this for some times, I believe I can give a rather full rounded review of this case
Make and Looks:
After looking at the pics below, it is definitely safe to conclude that if you cannot stand additional bulk to the galaxy nexus, this extended is definitely not a recommended, as it does double the thickness of the phone. Also, this battery is not for those who are seriously concious of the way their phones look, as this is, to be honest, not the best looking extended battery pack out there.
HOWEVER, if you are like me, and enjoy funtion over form, it would be my pleasure to say that this battery is definitely recommended. The back casing of the Mugen Power battery mimicks the back of the galaxy nexus to provide users with enough grip so as to reduce the slipperiness and possibilities of drops. Also, the battery which is rated at 4000mah does add some weight to the phone, which to me is a great addition as it just feels that the phone is more secure in my hands with the added weight. The battery, when installed on the phone, depicts the resemblence of a humpback whale, which not to say is ugly in anyway, it is simply Unique. The kickstand is a bit flimsy, but that is just an additional use of the new backing to watching movies and videos, so can't complain there.Lastly, the camera holes are perfectly cut out for the 5MP camera, it does not affect picture quality in anyway, but does take away from the original good looks of the phone.
Usage
To be honest, the GNEX isn't among the top performing android handsets in the battery department. Getting through a full day with my full usage has always been a problem, no matter what brightness setting I set. Battery times for me has always been 13-16 hours with 3-4 hours standby, and that is already after using franco kernel and aokp.
Now, with the Mugen Power battery, I can say this: I have a GMAXXXXXXXXXX. The battery after 3 - 5 charge cycles is AMAZING! Unlike other cheap extended batteries, I would say that mugen lived up to their name, as this battery is more than what they described as double my battery life. With it, I get by two days with super super super heavy usage including a ton a gaming, videos, and auto-sync and wifi on 24/7. That is around 2 days 3 hours with 7-9 hours screen on with the screen at around 50% brightness!!
Would I recommend?
Yes, I would definitely recommend this extended battery to anyone out there. If the price of said Mugen Battery is within your acceptable budget limit, there is no other battery that compares to what Mugen is delivering. And as the old saying goes, "You get what you payed for".

Could you also post some pics of the battery in the phone? I want to see how it fits the back of the phone. (like how much it takes away from the aesthetics, namely.)

The seido doesnt even look good on it. try the SGP Neo Hybrid, cut the back flap off, so the battery sticks through , and that way, it looks sexy and it provides the functionality you need

What's with the lip around the back? is it because of your cut? BTW, whats the material on the back of the seido? it doesnt look plastic..is it matte or something?

Yes it's because of the cut. I could probably cut a little more to make it more streamlined.
The seidio with NFC has a soft touch battery cover. It matches the case and feels great in the hand.

Otterbox Defender + Worlds largest 7000mah battery

Finally got around to doing this. I took a few pictures but had to use a old droid since I use my phone as a camera. Took 3 pictures, 2 being of the phone with the battery / case and 1 being a comparison to the case that comes with the zerolemon battery.

im guessing it goes into the holster fine screen in, but not screen out?

Is the battery getting hot after intensive use????

I threw the holster away the day I got it. I'll be picking up a new case in a day or so and I'll update it then.

I used it for about and hour and a half heavily while in the car (bored) and it was fine.

I didn't have the right tips for the dremel so I had to use a grind stone, it looks incredibly sloppy but the rubber is so tight on it that I'm not worried about dust. I found the right tips after I was done (imagine that) so the case I do in a few days should look a lot better. No pointers really, you should be able to free hand it.

in addition to pics without the silicone cover, can you take pics with everyone on and show the back near the camera. wondering if theres a gap or something between the rubber and plastic. im glad you had the balls to do this. i didnt think it was possible.

I will show pics without the silicone but I'll update it later when I re do it with the right tool. I thought I posted a picture of the back. There is a gap but the battery seals tightly between the plastic and the silicone. There's definitely no chance of dust getting in but I'll add the picture once I'm home.
And yeah I was getting tired of not having a good case for my extended batteries.

I just got my new case in the mail and I can confirm it will not go into the holster screen out, but it does fit fine screen in.

I have been working 7 days a week, family and work come before xda ^^

appreciate the pics man even though you being busy and all
that looks like a precise cut, very nice. any tips on how to get it right the first time?
the only thing that bothers me is the gap between the hardshell and silicone on the back (right under the camera).
i dont really care about the looks, but worry about rain water or whatever getting inside quicker.
since the original back cover is removed, the back and internals are technically more exposed.

Hey man I just purchased this battery and think your idea is awesome. I'm surprised no one has asked exactly how you modded this to make it work. So you cut the hard plastic backing and the outer silicone? The 3rd pic in the OP doesn't look like the silicone was cut.
