HTC OEM TPU Case REVIEW **NOW UPDATED WITH SMOKED COLOR**

So I browsing at work today and surprised to find OEM TPU cases in stock at daydeal... ordered at work and hope for an early arrival.
will do a photo review when it arrives.

I got it in the mail today, and as promised, picture review.
I ordered the white one, 70H00391-01M, seeing that all the other colors are a bit too "colorful" (DayDeal or HTC America Accessories Store). It came in a plastic clamshell, and now onto the actual product.
Texture: Glossy Smooth... clean edges/seams... way better than some of the eBay TPU...
Fit: Tight fit, very EXACT. not going to slide around inside, not going to pop out.
Color: It's white, almost too white. Will be getting a black/smoked/clear if I see one.
I actually think this is one of the best manufactured TPU case I have seen so far. Clean seams and edges, exact dimensions. Plus, with the case, it is now A LOT easier to find that power button.
PRO: Makes the phone feels way more solid, amazing fit and finish, cutout placements actually make the buttons easier to find.
CON: White doesn't really match with this phone, no alternative color fit for professional usage. Will be getting black/clear/smoked if found.

as I said before, I would be super interested if I find one with better color. One day, I was on HTC UK and saw that they have a smoked color one for IncS. Upon checking the P/N, it turns out that IncS and Inc2 cases share the same number, except for the suffix, which is usually designated for different colors. I decided to jump the gun and ordered one from expandsys. will post review when it arrives.
UPDATE on the white case: it was ruined after being in my jeans for a couple of times... the dye on my jeans killed it!!! never getting another white thing that would seem susceptible to dark colors

The white case makes it look like the perfect smartphone for a storm trooper.

Your pictures inspired me to grab the white OEM case. All of your notes are valid. It is truly a perfect fit, feels great in the hand (not too grippy, not too slick), and is VERY white. I do notice your jean dye comment, however since I rarely wear jeans this will not be a problem for me.
I also ordered the Incipio Feather case in Black. Overall impression is good. It fits great and matches the black on the Inc2 perfectly. It also comes with a screen protector included (which goes on perfectly if the screen is dustfree). The only reason I'm not recommending it is because not only does it not protect the top or bottom, it also does not do anything to protect the front surface. No lip at all.
And finally my first case for the Inc2 was the Seidio Surface case. It is a solid case and will serve many people very well, however I found it slightly too bulky. It made the power buttom sufficiently harder to press (HTC TPU case is more rounded near the power, allowing easier access).
So in the end I decided to keep the HTC TPU case with the Incipio Screen Protector. It provides full protection of the phone and will hopefully serve me well for the next year or so.

How easy is this case to clean off? I really love the way it looks but I don't want to be ruined the first time I wear a pair of jeans.

In trying to figure out what accessories to grab. How do you like the smokeone? Looks pretty good. Looks like it blends pretty good.
I like tthe white one but I frequently wear dark denim bluejeans .. so probably not the best idea lol.

So here's my take on the smoked version:
It's the exact same sizing as the white one, it is good as ever when it comes to fitment. As far as the color goes, the smoked IMO is the best it could offer without looking too stuck out. Black would be too solid if slapped onto the phone, looking like a huge piece of black plastic. I think this smoked option is the best so far if TPU is what you are looking for.
As for myself, I am not too sure on TPU since I feel like it took away some of the phone's sexiness. Hence I am ordering the new hard shell to review next, **without knowing what exactly I am order, no pictures of the product were provided** should come in next week hopefully.

I just got my white tpu case in the mail, and it's great. It fits more snug than any other cases for this price, and I can lay the phone facedown without worrying about scratching the screen.

If I'm getting a skin, I'd want it because it's thin. The "gel" skin would just be annoying to me, especially because it would get in the way of fitting cases over it.
I've used skins from gelaskins (gelaskins.com) in the past and I was extremely satisfied. They also offer customized skins but have a lot of designs available from various artists. I'm probably going to be getting a skin type cover and I'll probably be ordering from gelaskins since I've had great experiences with them on my past devices.
Btw. You seem to like final fantasy. A lot.

Indeed I do like Final Fantasy as it is my favorite RPG series of all time, and it has been since the original. So as my favorite series in the whole world, I like to represent. Ya know what I mean? It's really no different than people who obsess over their favorite sports teams. Lol.
And I hear ya about wanting a thin device. The other 2 choices I listed for my examples are thin, adding zero bulk. The gels skins will add some bulk yes because of the gel, but the point of a skin decal is to look good while protecting the device all at the same time. The skins make your devices smudge proof, scratch proof, and nearly damage proof for the average consumer, especially for the gel skins because they are a little thicker and will hold up better.
If you do get a skin, please put it up here for us. Would love to see what kind of design you will cook up for your Xoom.

Hmm... I do not know of a UK version for this website, sorry man. But, I have an alternative if you would like. You can't make your own skins, but it has a decent selection of designs that you can choose from.

I haven't put the front on yet, waiting for my screen protector to arrives 1st.
I will look like this picture,same material and pattern (with the screen area cut out). The seller has many designs, i like the dragon one because it's pretty understated.

These are just pics from the gelaskins website (better than anything I'd end up taking), but this is what I got for mine:
I usually have my leather portfolio case on, but it's nice to have a little protection if I ever have it out or if something might possibly scratch it while in the case.

Edit: I was just browsing the gelaskins website and it would seem they changed their website set up. They have some art that they have pre-designed the layout for the devices and others allow you to use the artwork in their create your own process. When you select the device, they have some categories off to the side and it starts with the most popular... I just wanted to point out that they have more artwork because I'd hate for someone to miss a design they like more than what shows up in the most popular.

EDIT** Just got the case in and it's ok. It fits snug and looks good in white. It has a soft touch feel that is less slippery than the phone itself. For a sub $4 case....it's worth it.

If it's like the ones on eBay....put it on and leave it on lol. There's little tabs that interlock in the corners and they tend to snap off when you take it off. They look good and seem to work fine up until then. Let us know.

I just got one of these. Best case ever. Doesnt come off when you drop the phone. Easy to get off if you need to do a battery pull. Has grip on the sides of the phone that acually work. And its 2$. No complaints. Better then any at the sprint store.

I got the $5 cheapo case from ebay (looks like the one in the OP, but black) and this thing is rock solid. I'm still waiting for Trident to come out with their case, but until then I'll keep rockin this case. I've dropped it a couple times and only once did the edge split open a little bit. It didn't damage the snap clip though. I've also taken it off several times, but I use a safe pry tool just because it's easier and still no damage to the snaps.

My case came today
For those interested, I received the case. Build quality is pretty good considering I spent about $4. The white looks nice and gives the phone some more grip (but not much). As for taking the case off and putting it back on, I wouldn't recommend doing so. I also have the TPU case in matte black but I prefer the white color.

I haven't gotten mine yet. It says it shipped but the postal code won't track.....ordered on Sunday.

I bought one a couple weeks ago, so far I'm liking it. It's a dust magnet, like all these rubberized cases are, but the fit is VERY snug. If you don't mind the extra bulk, it's really a damn solid case. (And for the price you can't beat it.)

That seller has some nice looking cases.

i recieved mine today. first off they were out of stock of the black ones he just forgot to unlist it, but he was real understanding and sent me another color. shipping was quick. the plastic part seems pretty cheaply made, but it fits perfect, snaps together fine, pretty comfy case. all in all i give it 7 outta 10.

I bought one of these too & just got it today. It's a very solid case & adds quite a bit of bulk to the phone, so people who like a minimalistic look probably won't like it. The plastic shell feels kinda cheap and the power button isn't as prominent as my ballistic case, but overall I really like it. I got the purple & black one, and the purple is a nice dark shade, NOT pink, hooray!

Well, I guess you can go and buy it because it does protect the camera.
I have the black+purple one.
Looks sleek and doesnt add much bulk and it protects the phone.
The only bad thing is that the back is glossy and full of scratchs but I was in a sandy area
