I really dig 1.1
Didn't see that it was updated to 1.1. I couldn't stand the button cropping issue in 1.0, so I started looking for alternatives. 1.1 is a lot better, but I see the issue with the Archive button in Gmail is still present.
Any chance someone could just make a flash to add the over scroll glow effect to any theme? I can locate the .png images that control color but lack the coding knowledge to make my phone do it. Would be awesome. =)

So the rom/theme I'm using uses green for a highlight/select color, but I like the blue (or possibly purple or something for some). I was wondering what elements where would need to be edited?
It's not the only thing I'd want to edit, so really the starting point should be sufficient.

You need to read the how to theme threads. Your awnsers are in there. The green highlights arte either controlled by images or xml code. Everything is found in the framework-res.apk that would need to be changed. In order to edit an xml file you need to de compile the apk. Images can just be dragged and dropped using 7zip our winrar

The theming how to has been really great so far, there is a section of the How To that lists all the tools you will need her. I am working on switching my color from blue to red! I am playing with shades of red and trying to figure out a way to change the highlighting shape on the keypad.. want to change it from a square / rectangle to a star.

I cracked open the framework-res from emotionless today, gonna have to try it on my desktop instead of my netbook so I can do editing. Thanks for the link, think I stubled across it (way too many sites/forums and some are so nonspecific)
My next challenge is bootani, I broke the one on baked snack 1.6 somehow.

There is alot of information about this in either the Extreme kernel thread or the ACS Rom thread.

The shortcuts in the drop down menu are stock samsung gingerbread, matted blues or..?
Also I'm searching how I can theme the phone.apk like the original...cause CM7 has a few different options...and also it's a little hard to find all correct files in the CM7 folders.

I have looked and searched and i cannot find a thread on this and i am thinking i might be barking up the wrong tree.
I run the stock launcher on cm7 and super cm7 and i would like to change the color of the three icons on the bottom or the homescreen and thats it. Colors of everything else i want to stay the same. Is this even possible?
I do not want to run lp or adw. I'll stay with green if thats the case.
If you change themes with the theme chooser it should change. That's if you don't mind switching themes.

Not to be a **** but the OP says I want everything else to stay the same. Why would you suggest switching themes.
Guess ill just figure out how to export this theme and change icons myself through theme manager. I was hoping maybe someone would know a quick and easy way of changing the color.

you should be able to modify the dock pngs in the launcher apk without trouble. I've changed colors around on a vanilla launcher before... just decompiled the launcher apk, changed the pngs I wanted to change, compiled and replaced the apk.. voila.
Awesome. Thanks.

You can use ninja morphology, that's how I got mattedblue colors on my stock launcher. Although ever since adw ex got updated I've been using it.
got the decompile thing down. guess all there is to do is find out how good i am in gimp.
thanks again
Why don't you use adw ex? It's so much better than the stock and you get to keep the gingerbread dock but customize icons and their colors...You really cannot go wrong...
This is my first time ever putting together a theme. I used UOT kitchen just to put something together. Its just black and blue with honeycomb icons.
I think it still needs some work, I'm not sure how to edit the colors of widgets or apps yet.
I am probably going to make some changes as I get better. If anyone has any advice then feel free to PM me.
Features : Custom Battery Icon
Honeycomb Icons
Black notification bar (transparent background)
Dark Blue overscrolls
Other slight Color changes
Kinda ugly I think... But Im sharing it anyway!
You should be able to flash via CWM.
BACK UP YOUR ROM BEFORE FLASHING JUST IN CASE.
NEW: Just edited some of the colors a bit And changed the battery icon.
Screenshots
(Not updated for new version) I will take new screenshots later. I am tired. The new colors are much better I think.
Changes
Please tell me what you like / dont like.
Looks great besides the battery icon, should be blue like the rest. Great work though and thanks!

Its honeycomb colored. But It changes color when your battery is at different levels.
At full charge it matches the rest of the honeycomb icons.
Im working on some tweaks already. I dont like the color of the pop up screens.
I understand, thanks a million, looks great so far. I'm excited to see where you take it.
Maybe I should research this kitchen stuff and take a shot at themes too!

You can do this by using a program like WinZip or 7Zip to open the APK files (they're effectively just .zip archives with a different extension) and changing the files. Its pretty easy save for the part where you have to make new images. Most images used in Android are .9.png files which need to be nine patched. There are tons of threads all over XDA about how to do this. Check it out, mate.
BTW nice work.

Would it work to theme the actual cm9 rom to get things themed that themes can't get such as lock screen? That's the only thing I can think of right now but I'm sure there's more things. Would this work or does the theme replace any files that would change whatever was changed from the original rom?

Yes it will work just fine. As long as the theme apk doesnt interfere with what your themeing it will be just fine. I'll break down what the theme is..
Essentially it is a redirection. It has the drawable folders just like the ROM for whatever DPI, in the epic's case HDPI. How it works is a redirection XML will shoot the application to another XML which is written to specify what goes where. Such as the status_bar... you would place that image in the Drawable-HDPI and the XML for the SystemUI.apk would be written for that [email protected]/status_bar.png if you catch my drift.
Of course its a bit more complicated but that is the essential. just an FYI if you decide to ever make one.
Ya I get what you're saying. I have thought of making a cm7/9 theme but never had time. But I think I want to just add a little more to the theme that hasn't been done.

Ya I know that I meant that they're both used the same way, like the lock screen isn't themed from the theme itself. I know that I can't use them on both roms lol. I may have asked a dumb question earlier about contacts but I'm not that much of a noob to try cm9 themes on cm7 lol. And the contacts was just because I don't have experience with cm9 lol this is the first time I ever ever actually use it lol.
