[Q] How to make transparent notification bar and app drawer - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys
Last night I was trying to make transparent notification statusbar and app drawer in my Starburst rom by editing framework and png's but I didn't manage to work it out how to do it. I had only bootloops I searched around the internet and couldn't find anything how to make it step by step. If anyone would help me to transform my rom into something like leedroid 2.3d I would appreciate .
Thanks for help

Just use the online kitchen to edit the statusbar, as for the app drawer. You can do it through some launchers' settings. ADWLauncherEx allows you edit it.

Modifying Services.jar to make icons disappear from status / notification bar

Hello there,
since i'm using a Custom-ROM on my HTC HD2 and use the phone in order with no SIM-card, there is always this "NO-SIM-CARD" icon in the status-/notification bar.
I almost tried modifying the services.jar file to make the "NO-SIM-CARD" icon disappear. I managed to disable the showing of the clock, battery and the phone-signal so far. But i can't get the "NO-SIM-CARD" icon to disappear.
Does anybody know how to do it? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely, nitrate.

Read up on themeing, you should be able to swap out the icon for just a transparent png; Guide to Themeing

Transparent status bar with CM7?

Alright, I just got a hold of CM7 for my Incredible 2 and wanted to know how I can get a 50% transparency status bar. I looked all over, even in that Meizu theme thread (or whatever it's called) and I still can't find out how to do it. Can anybody please give me a quick tutorial? Please?
Bump! SOMEBODY needs to know how to do this...
I would also like to know how.
I mean, I GOT it and everything, but the clock is centered. Rest assured I am restoring a Nandroid right now. I don't want a centered clock.

it isn't a quite tutorial, inverting the status bar mean, that you need to change the .png of the status bar from black to whatever transparency you want, I use paint.net...
then EVERY status bar icon has a black background.. you need to change probably over 100 icons give or take to have it look correct other wise u will have a transparent staus bar with icons that have a black background.
I suggest using the UOT kitchen. much faster. and it should do this MOD for u, I'm not sure I've never used it but people seem to like it.
download the Metamorph app and search for "metamorph darkshade.zip". The darkshade.zip file will theme your notification pulldown for you. You'll have to do a battery pull after applying the theme but afterwards you'll be golden.
I've tried using metamorph but it does do anything for my Inc2 and I'm on CM7. Any help?

I believe it is not possible to have a transparent status bar over all the apps since many of the apps don't bother to put anything behind the status bar. It can be only in the Home screen ans some apps.
Regd the second one. I can't help you mate!!

Even i wanted to do the same thing.....I had read a similar article somewhere else also
Transparent statusbar
Hi, it is some time since you asked the question, but if you still want to know how to do it: Use Gravitybox (is an XPosed module) and then go to transparency where you can set the transparency for home launcher and lockscreen. I think for the other apps it doesn't look very good
Sorry for my bad english,
