Hey everyone,
i have a touchpro2 and for the most part the speed is ok. running energyrom titanium version and overclocked a little bit.
The thing that is frustrating me is that when a call comes in, the lock screen stays overtop of it.
Its *not* locked but the image of the lockscreen is there so i cannot see who is calling me.
Does anyone know how to fix this? It is a pain in the ass!
I thought it was cause it was using the android style lock, so i used the app to change it to the windows style lock but does the exact same thing.
Any help appreciated.

As the title says the current app is closed (well minimised) when I power off my device, this is really annoying, is there a registry edit to fix this? It happened in black 2.0 and now in black 3.0.
Thanks
Rob
edit
The app is closing on suspend not complete shutdown

So, I am not sure if I understand. You want the current app to continue running while the device is off ???

sorry my explanation was a bit dodgy, I want the current app to be there when I turn the device back on (I'm talking about just tapping the power button not completely shutting the device down) it used to work like this in wm5 and after initially installing black 3.0 but now its closing the app I was using.
thanks

I've found out the cause of this problem:-
When I enable a password either pin or alphanumeric, the current app is always closed when the screen is turned off, regardless of weather the device is due to lock or not. Anyone else come across this?

I am using Black 2.5 and I have noticed this. It isn't a problem since the application is only minimized but it is annoying if I wanted to go right back to it...like WMP or TomTom.
same experience here. no real issue for me though
Its just annoying when am using a spreadsheet and it minimises, I've disabled lock for now, I doubt anyone would return the device if they found it (yeah am cynical)

Thanks so much for the idea of turning off the screen lock. I was getting rather annoyed with this as well. Saved me some headache! I guess I can do without the screen lock for now. I love xda-developers.com!

Do you have any 3rd party apps installed or is this on bare rom? Do you mean it opens on message tab?
If on bare rom, your query should be directed to Duttys rom thread.
thx for reply
it is almost clean ROM..I installed just a few things that I usually install and these are definitely not causing this...it has never happened before with the same apps..
second thing....it does not open on the sms tab but it opens outlook...or whateer is this app called in winmo..SMS/MMS or email..
i dont understand this...I have no unread messages...it hsa never happened before...weird problem...
I will flash R9 on weekend if it will be out already..
if someone has solution or experience the same problem please let it know...
thanks
Start>Tools>Tom Text Messaging> SMS wake up Event
what does this function do?
may this setting is relevant to you problem!
not sure.. not tried yet.. but this what came to my mind.. when i read ur post!
thanks for your reply..
this is the same option as was in the hd tweak...when sms comes phone awakes...does not solve my problem..
but thx anyway
Could it be that you didn't setup something related to messaging and the app always starts to force you?
Is sms working?
I actually didnt do anything..
I just noticed that when I press the poewr button to wake up my phone i see the outlook screen..
it it so annoying...
After I flashed R9 this happens much less...but it is still there
Has anyone encouncetred something liek this?
i am having the same issue you are. i have a touch pro though and i am even on a different os build then u (maybe a lingering 6.5 bug) . it is very VERY irritating so if anyone has a fix i would appreciate it as well
Check
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\DisableSMSWakeUpEvent
value should be 0
that solved it for me
i had a lot of sms-problems with Dutty's ROM.. i'm now on EnergyRom, and not having any problems at all
Finally someone who has this issue..I thought that I am starting to be paranoic or what
Will try your suggestion with the Registry Key although that doesnt seem to be the root of the issue...
Will try it out...
Thanks..
OK...now the problem really seems to be gone.
I have disabled automatic download of emails..weird...
Hi all. I just wondered if anyone could help me out with this problem i'm having.
When on the lock screen you can usually just pull the ring on to the camera in case you need to make a quick snap shot. But after the Jelly Bean update, every time I try use it, it freezes for around 5-6 seconds rendering the shortcut useless I suppose. Only happens with the camera app and nothing else for some reason.
Anyone have any ideas of what could solve this? Such a small problem but it's a really annoying one.
Cheers.
Did you make an hard reset when you upgrated to Jelly?
There is to say that the problem there is also in custom rom...
So, it may be an htc issue rom

I haven't done a hard reset because of fear of just losing everything... not very good with all this stuff, usually just find a quick or easy fix for things.
When it comes to going a bit deeper to trying to fix something i'm lost.
Goes without saying I haven't rooted my phone or anything, so there wouldn't be any problems it that area.
Any thought's on how else I could fix this, pal? thanks.
I don't know how to fix, so i usually don't use the camera so i don't have this on shortcuts...
I also have the same issue

Hello,
Awesome site!
I am currently having an issue where my lock screen will not work. As in, when my phone times out and i hit the power button, no lock screen. It literally boots right into the home screen. I have gone through all of the settings, disable, enabled, changed the type of lock and what not.
Has anyone else ran into this issue?
I am currently running :
CyanogenMod version :
10.1 - 20130704-NIGHTLY-JFLTETMO
Kernel version:
3.40-cyanogenmod-g3905ee4
[email protected]#1
Thu Jul 4 02:02:55 PDT 2013
Baseband version :
M919UVUAMDB
Build number :
cm_jfltetmo-userdebug 4.2.2 JDQ39E
eng.jenkins.20130704.014817 test-keys
I have already searched the forums for the anyone who has a similar issue and have found nothing.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to resolve this issue, it would be greatly appreciated!
I would imagine that a fresh install would fix this and I will have no problems doing so if that is the only solution.
Looking to see if there is an actual cause for this and if it can be repaired without reloading.
Again, thank you in advance for taking the time to read this, even if you didn't provide a fix.
I think im having a similiar issue, when I timeout I cant get phone to wake ... takes like 20 seconds, like its all fragged out...
Then when it does wake its on the power down reboot menu.
This is my second s4 last one no issues.

Anyone else having lock screen issues? Can anyone provide any insight on why it is happening or what else i should try to make the lock screen behave the way its intended?
I'd hate to have to do a fresh install...and then have it happen again..
Thanks in advance..

What you described in the first post is normal. Say you're reading an online news article and your screen times out, pressing the power button instantly brings you back to that article instead of to your lock screen. It's a controllable feature in my next ROM release.

It is not normal that my phone does not lock at all under any circumstance.
Clearly, i didn't describe my issue very well in my OP.
My lock screen does not work at all, no matter what the settings are.
Thanks in advance!

You said when it times out.. and you press the power button.. it doesn't show the lock screen. I could of swore that's what I read lol.
So even if you leave your phone sit for say five minutes with the screen off there is no lock screen?

You're correct, that is what you read...that was a poor example with little to no detail.
Yes, even when my phone timed out and was left for 5 minutes, it did not lock.
I believe I have resolved the issue by disabling cLock within app manager. Once i did this, it didn't resolve the issue immediately but within the hour, my phone timed out and when I hit the power button, it was locked. I have re-enabled cLock and all seems to be working fine as far as my phone locking when it is suppose too. The issue I'm having now is that my cLock widget settings are not taking effect on the lock screen. As in, color and font boldness. I guess, its better then not working at all..
Maybe you have some insight or suggestions on how to fix this current issue.
Thanks in advance!

First time i heard of "cLock" is it an app on the play store or something? And yes that was gonna be my second recommendation, that there seemed to be an app or some other thing preventing the lock screen from showing.

I would say remove the lockscreen widget and add it again. If that doesn't work, try using a different size widget... I seem to remember having some problems with cLock but I can't remember exactly what I did..

It's the CM clock widget pretty much.
Hello to everyone.
I recently came up with noticing on my homescreen that it shows No face detection.
The face detection works well, no HW issue found and is already activated because I like to use it. It keeps showing on my homescreen.
Attached the file.
Anyone can help me?
Can you be more clear. Does it show on the phone screen or the lockscreen. If it is on the homescreen it might just be a bug. Try restarting the phone.
Thanks. Already solved it!
