is nandriod a program or part of CWM?
ive searched the market for it but cant find it, ive done a backup through CWM, is this the same/similar?
Nandroid is a function of CWM, there is no seperate app

So by doing a backup using CWM it is in effect a nandroid?

Yes, that is correct.
That is true sorry, you can use the temp root to backup and then temp root to recover again. Once you reboot after recovering the root will be gone again and your back to stock.

Okay man chill for now, just to be sure:
- kernel you use now
- recovery you use now
- os you use now
nandroid if you have, and from wich state (before root/custom os)
- the RUU ver of your phone (which do you need, if you don't know tell which country and carrier you use)
Titanium kernel.I did a nandroid backup after rooting.before flashing any roms

Then you will need the ruu of your phone (as I see yours will be from Lebanon the asia 2.09.707.1) from wich you can extract the boot_signed.img because you will need the stock kernel. (this step can be left if you want to stay at the custom kernel, but then OTA will not be install if it will be)
Go to cwm either from hboot or
adb reboot recovery
flash the nandroid backup, and you're ready to go.
If you want to return the stock, flash the standard recovery of the phone (and then the stock kernel is necessary too)
ugh nvm
Hey guys,
Couple of months ago i rooted my HOX and installed CWM recovery! Currently I have 4.2.2 cm10.1 ROM installed and now I want to go back to my Stock rom because i m missing sense so that i can receive the OTA updates. I have the backup of my stock rom. i thought you had a nand backup, however that RUU isn't available yet so your only solution is to restore a nand backup as stated above
http://d-h.st/y9S
this one will be good... follow the guide i linked before if you don't know how to restore it
No i have a nand backup!! I will restore that

that's ok then
First install the stock rom completely, then the stock recovery.
I can flash the stock recovery by using the same procedure to flash the boot image of the backup???

I used my stock nandroid backup to upgrade to official sense 5(upgrading the hboot in the process), then reflashed my custom rom, without backing sense 5 stock.
If I needed to return to stock, can I still use the backup (sense 4), or will there be a problem since I updated hboot?

Not like that, if you restore 3.20.401.1 , have to wipe out 4.18.401.2.
