I'm currently running Bonsai 3.0.1 but I have noticed this with Syndicate ROM and Midnight ROM. Is the accelerometer just really slow with EB13? I unlock my phone and it is set sideways sometimes and I almost have to fight it to get it correct.
This is taken from a thread on the Android Central forums. You have to be rooted, but this is a fix.
Download Terminal Emulator from the Market
Type the following
su (press enter and allow root access)
/system/bin/sensorcalibutil_yamaha (press enter)
Then it will ask for you to calibrate. I usually lay mine flat on its back with keyboard open and then press enter. Back out of program and power off the screen then wake the phone up. Lag rotation fixed.

I didn't even notice a difference when doing this trick. It used to work when going from dk28 to di18 but on eb13 I don't notice a difference.

It's worked for me everytime, and won't hurt to try, honestly.

Are you rooted? Well even if your not Shootme has been updated to work without root I believe. I use Screenshot from giksoft and it has a timer option or a shake to snap option.

Ok i have the blazer rom for evo 4g, great rom. Cant figure out for the life of me what i keep hitting that is taking screen shots! lol i'm not sure if its the rom or the evo 4g.. when i google it it tells me applications to download but i haven't downloaded nothing for that. Its something custom on this rom and i cant figure it out! lol i do it daily multiple times... by just pressing some kinda keys on my evo... Can someone help me out?? Its irritating
Also using anthrax kernal so not sure if that would have anything to do with it but i believe it was doing this before the kernal got flashed.
Thanks!

Dude thanks so much that was it. I always see you around in those evo 4g forums. Thanks, and yea that blazer rom is probably my favorite one at the moment.
Does the latest Bonsai work on RFS or do I have it use ext4? If latter, does it at least have journaling enabled? The thread or the web page was of no use...
I tried Bonsai v4.0 and didn't like it, the weird edited launcher and no clock in status bar drove me insane. I believe Bonsai is EXT4 ONLY rom, so you'll need to convert to ext4 to use it.

Ah, I was doing my setup on Bonsai and I got frustrated with the lack of stats bar clock and just reverted back to Syndicate. I'm about to go to work now, so no time for anymore modifications until I get home...!

I was frustrated too.. and to be fair I believe the official stock ec05 has it removed as well... but nothing a simple flash can't fix..

I got the click back on Bonsai. No problems... I'm just afraid that it will crap out in a few days because of no journaling and phone failed to wake up from sleep once so far.

You can add the clock back in on bonsai and it doesn't affect anything.

I think that is due to *some* phones not awaking to the 100 Mhz under clock of the kernel. Try 200 minimum (which is stock). This is XDA so you have to stay on top of many different threads to make sure you understand what is going on.

It can be very difficult, it seems, to keep up. Is there a better place for more centrally compiled info?
I've managed to wade my way thru most stuff, but at the expense of dozens of hours and I still run into important pieces of info like this at random, which makes me wonder how's a guy to find the info that one should know.
EI22 rotation lag!!!!i am noticing a lag rotating my phone when it come to me turning my phone from horizontal to straight up...i have done the horizontal calibration but still there is a lag...my question is ....is there a lag fix for this and yes i am running EI22 with the EI22 modem?

First, can you make your title more clearer...Like EI22 rotation lag?
And second, try the calibration again. I haven't seen mention of this yet, but if more users show up with it then I am sure someone will make a lag fix on it.
Well I'll throw my vote in on this... I have lag and hor. cal. doesn't do it.

Have you tried doing the horizontal calibration with the screen upside down? That used to fix my rotation lags on froyo. Something about using it with the screen facing up always made it lag instead of fixing it.. If that don't work u might have to try using terminal emulator and see if that helps.

See Gingerbread Horizontal Calibration and these posts: my calibration question and jbadboy2007's response and jt1134's rebuttal.
The short story is that there is no known calibration method for GB, whether on a stock-based ROM or AOSP, such as CM7.
* Note: jt1134 is one of the CM7 devs, therefore I feel pretty confident he knows what he's talking about. I'm pretty sure jbadboy2007 is experienced as well.
Did you experience lag on froyo at all or is this a new thing?

I don't know if you're addressing the OP or me (probably OP), but I'll go ahead and tell ya I had rotation lag with a couple of different Froyo ROM flashes.
using the /system/bin/sensorcalibutil_yamaha I was always able to minimize the lag, though if I had a number of different home screens filled with apps it would still lag a bit more than a virgin ROM flash (not unexpected).
The "new thing" is that now there is no known fix for rotation lag*, which sucks.
* At least with CM7. The sensorcalibutil_yamaha fix may still work with stock-based ROMs in GB, I've just never tried any GB except for CM7.

I tried the /system/bin/sensorcalibutil_yamaha cmd with terminal emulator. Says the cmd is not found :-(
Bringing this thread back I guess, instead of making a new one. I'm having a big issue with 2-3 second rotation lag. Tried the upside down horizontal calibration and no go. Just throwing my hat in the ring in hopes that someone will find a fix.
There was a thread opened for the issue.
Refer to the link below.
Hope it helps!

From the original thread:
* For other GB ROMs the fix should be basically the same, though I would recommend using the framework.jar from that specific ROM. (Maybe other, more experienced devs would like to shed some light on this topic? Would this framework.jar or flashable .zip be safe to try with other GB ROMs?)
So it may be usable...
Bumping this. Rotation lag is the most annoying issue with GB thus far

It might work it will break some things though, and he said the fix should be the same, meaning what he did should be the same to fix lag on other ROMs. Which it is.

Did not work for me...
Bumping this again. Praying that someone can make a fix for this issue. It is plaguing my experience. Otherwise it is outstanding. I repeatedly tried the upside down calibration and it has not worked.
The framework.jar from my rom has the fix. Take that file and then calibrate on a flat surface.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
That's weird, I'm actually on your V4 ROM now. I could possibly reflash. Or I guess I could just drop that file over the old one, that's prob easier. Or maybe time to upgrade to V5 huh. Thanks for the response.
---------- Post added at 11:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:43 PM ----------
Ok so, wow. I dropped the same framework.jar I already had over the old one, and the calibration tool in settings> display works. Very weird. But someone should mark this as solved in case it needs to be done separate from flashing a ROM.

Flashed ICS v5 and my rotation lag issue is gone Yay!
the ti-83 emulator is not working and causing my phone to crash and freeze, i have to remove the battery to get it back right...
why is this happening if i ran it just fine on evo and epic 4g...?
i'm running Calkulin's E4GT v2.8.1 EL29 with desperado 1.704ghz kernel.
Any substitute? Another maybe better calculator app? Please and thanks!

I am limited in my knowledge with apps, but I do know that if the app is not programmed to work with your hardware (if its not universal) then the app developer just needs to update to work on the newer hardware, email the dev and wait that is all you can do

I assume if you googled it, you would at least know how to root. As far as dead links well that's a different story...which links were you referring to?

Our epic is the d700. Yours is the d710. Check out there foruma for root. And don't use our files, you'll brick your device.

I am currently running the Note 3 and have been rooting and flashing since the S2 epic 4g touch. I just dusted off my old epic 4g and rooted it with the fc09 stock rooted rom, and activated sprint for my brother. I didn't have any issues until after flashing. When I go into recovery now, nothing will mount, so I am unable to perform any actions in cwm. The stock rooted rom runs fine. I haven't ever had this happen before. Does anyone know of a solution? I even installed a 16 GB SD card that I had from my S2, and still get the errors in cwm.
