Hi everyone,
I have rooted my HTC nine month ago and it was great. After some time (3 month) it started sometimes block and restart in some aplications, so I instaled another ROM, but it was same. I have traied about 10 ROM (cyanogen mod 2,2 and 2,3 , oxygen.....) about 5 Radios and some Kelners, but its same! When my desire restart, it block with white display wiht htc, so i have to take out battery.
Some aplications which restart it: Asphalt, navigations, robodefence...
I have traied play robodefence, immeditali after instaled new ROM (without any other instaled app), but it's the same. Sometimes, it restart after i enter PIN...
In my opinion, theres is a ploblem with botloader, but i don't know, how can i improve it.
Please help me improve it, or al least give it to original condition. And I claim it.
Sorry for my english
Did you get your Desire in the very beginning? Then it might be a faulty motherboard.
I bought it in 5.5.2010. I'd like to claim it, but they perhaps say that a have rooted it.... so pls how can I give it to original condition??
Download your stock rom from htc.com. Put your device in fastboot and run the ruu on your pc.

My phone has 1 strange problem. Sometime, when i reboot it (to refresh ram), it auto re-install the ROM (i think so, because it force me to check the Touch Screen, time zone, etc), some process the same with upgrading process.
Anyone has problem the same with me?
p/s: Sorry for my bad English.
This problem appear with every ROM, which i try. Its about 1 week - 2 month per ROM, then it will appear.
Now, i use Gen Y 5.5, it appear yesterday .
I had same problems, and then i did MTTY:

After mtty, no problems.
Hello,
Everything started when I did OTA update to Froyo...
My Desire reboot randomly when I use Nav, Maps, Browser, etc...
I tried to downgrade the HBOOT to 0.80 with a PB99IMG.zip package in order to get a clean place to do again the update.
The OTA update did not available after that...
So, I root it with Unrevoked, put a 2.2 official Froyo from Modaco with associated radio rom, install all my usual applications (Task killer, Reminder, Calendar, etc...) and try to use my phone again... with random reboots again
I made a swip of all that I could, re-install official Froyo ROM with radio, without anny application... and then, try it again... with random reboots !!!
Sometimes, it reboot in loop and then stay on the first HTC screen.
The back of the handset is hot when it reboot (but was more hot without any problem before, when I was under Android 2.1 and Nav activated).
The phone is not branded... and I use it with Bouygues Telecom.
I not use my gel case since I had the problem, as I though it could be an overheat issue.
And I have already read other topics about Froyo and reboots but not find something that could help me
Anybody could help me ?
i have the same issue. The only way to fix it is to underclock the cpu or open the back cover and blow at the bottom on the phone where the cpu is located.'
Or you can always return it to htc service (remember to flash original rom, radio and hboot and unroot)
The issue is that the phone got very hot and actually burned some stuff in there making a shortcircuit, before my phone could withstand over 50'C, Now it reboots at 40'C. I seriously think the phone has been fried!
I have exactly same problem.. it's very annoying!!! Anybody can help??
Maybe some app do it?
First it happened only in browser on some websites (after debrand + FROYO). I suspected Flash plugin.
But then it starts happened randomly everywhere - when reading PDF, use Navigation...
Even if i downgrade with PB99IMG_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed_txt.zip and then receive new OTA 2.10.405...
bug is still there!
Hi everybody!
Perhaps someone already encountered this like me.
Whatever the Rom I use, my diamond begins to freeze sometimes, so I reset.
And when I reset It asks me to tap the screen to calibrate the device and choose the date/time as if it was a first boot.
When it does not freeze it works admirably.
Hard reset did not solve this issue.
May be my Diamond will die soon
All the help you can provide is very welcome.
NB: My diamond is 1,5 year old, and has been flashed a lot of times.
You've never used MTTY have you?
Before flashing a rom you should first use MTTY. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540290
I did use MTTY. Thx for the link anyway iknighty
I changed to another ROM and it seems to work properly, dunno for how long. This is strange.
I thought It was due to a bad phone unlock. I called my phone operator recently to unlock the phone and the girl asked me for the IMEI.
But pb is that my IMEI is not the same as the one I had when I bought it: some days after I bought it, all stopped working: black screen. I brought it back and they changed all the system in my diamond, so with a new IMEI.
And the girl from the phone operator I had on the phone did not understand this and gave me a code, for the old IMEI. AFter that I encountered such issues.
So I reformulate my question: DO someone have an idea of what can be done?
Hi guys,
I'm an ITALIAN guy and this summer i bought an htc wildfire s in POLAND. I had no problem with this device (very very good smartphone). Today, a messagge appeard on the display. It was an upgrade alert... I accepted that upgrade (from 2.3.3 to 2.3.5), cleaned up my internal phone memory and i done that upgrade. After the loading process the upgrade rebooted my phone and puff... I don't know what happened. Now i have graphic bugs, the phone is VEEEEEEERY LAGGY. The upgrade stopped at 70% and now i can't finish the upgrade, i can't use wifi because there is a error message (wifi: error) and i can't do nothing else. (phone is very laggy and it's full of lcd pulsations/texture problems). I tried to reset my device using the internal function and i also tried to reset all using the startup function (switch on + volume down). I cleaned cache etc etc but same ****. Can someone help me? How i can restore original data? How i can make this update working?
Thanks guys!
You are not alone - bro , many phones is already hit by this upgrade - for now you only can register problem at HTC support line and wait ... btw. I'm from Poland .
So we can only wait... Pff, now i'm calm
My girlfriend has the same problem although the upgrade was perfect the phone works bad. Is there no way to downgrade?
Hi, So i bought this Desire HD second hand about two weeks ago and it was already with Android Revolution version 6.1.0 by mike1986. As soon as i got it the flashlight app sometimes shuts off the phone when i open it, now two days ago i was on the internet(mobile network not wifi) and the phone rebooted and from then on it kept rebooting until i removed the simcard then it powered on ok without sim. Now whenever i plug in the sim it keeps rebooting the only way to power it on with the sim inserted is to connect the charger and power it on while charging then its ok. Please help me if you can as i desperately need the phone.
Now its also shutting off when im playing a game, sometimes when using the camera, even when i was using qrcode scanner.
My phone was also rebooting randomly. I send my device back to HTC and they changed motherboard and a lot of another things
It was in warranty, so i had it for free
How about if you superwipe, then reinstall the ROM?
You can get 6.3.2 (& superwipe) for the ARHD ROM here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840040. This is the stock HTC ROM, tuned by mike1986.
There is also the version 7.0.4, which is in fact a Gingerbread port from the Sensation. Given your problems, probably best to start with 6.3.2
If that doesn't help, it's not a software thing, so it must be hardware. The phone should be under warranty, so you could return it to the ex-factory state by flashing the standard ROM for your territory, and then take it to the service centre. There are several threads on this here.
Also SD card is known to cause this issue, try booting without SD card.
Yep, super wipe or full wipe is the best idea. Try the full wipe first and then root the phone again. Check the ROM section for the latest ROM updates, sometimes these things go wrong and it simply requires a full wipe and flashing the ROM again.
Hi Thanks for trying to help guys
So far i did clean wipe with superwipe, flashed radio, flashed Revolution rom 6.3.3,flashed the kernel and the problem is still there.
The only thing that is going over in my mind is why does it hold on for a little bit while its connected to charger if the phone is idle, but then sometimes when i open flashlight or camera or play a game its reboots again.
Try flashing an appropriate RUU, if the problem persists then you know it's hardware and it is still under warranty so return it to HTC for a fix.
