Help with rom selection

I'm running azrael x and when it's working right it's great, but it's unstable and laggy a lot! I've got hardware version 003 I'm looking for a rom with working video recording 4g swype and reliable smooth snappy operation. So what should I try?

Azrael is a good ROM. I would try using autostarts and cachemate before blaming the ROM. I never had those issues with Azrael. MikFroyo is an awesome ROM as well, if you like sense. So are Myn, Unleashed and EViO. Also might want to give VaelPak a try (My fav, but I don't care about sense).

Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo RLS 5....EVERYTHING works. It is fast, stable and clean and support for the rom is topnotch.

Search around a try a couple. Once you have everything backed up properly, you can go through a handful different ROMs in a night. I gave Mikfroyo a good rundown last night and was happy with it. I'm currently on Virusrom Airbourne. Both very snappy. I maybe leaning towards heading back to Sense though.

Ended up with warm, it's awesome!! The camera issue was actually my fault, camera 1.00 was in my backup and when I restored it broke the camera and it appears that many roms don't replace that, so I flashed stock rooted and got camera 2.00 now it works great

Koni's Elite Series III
I've used quite a few ROMs, both sense and AOSP, but a great many have issues including CM7. What good is a ROM if the hardware you paid for doesn't work, or works sub-par? Enter Koni's Elite Series III. It's a sense ROM that has everything working 100%. Everything is completely optimized and the stock theme is amazing! It is currently my ROM of choice and no other ROM has stayed on my EVO this long.
I highly suggest you give it a try.

Fastest stable sense Rom?

So I'm looking to get a new Rom. What is the fastest stable sense Rom in your opinions?

First off, this doesn't belong in the "Development" section.
But that aside, I'd say SkyRaider 4.0 is a good one. Magnolia is fast and stable with a nice "matte UI". Lou's are good as well (Redemption ROM, Redemptive rEVOlution). SkyRaider 4.0 has the added bonus of being extremely customizable with options not in other ROM's yet. And more mods and themes are on the way.

I knows Lou's I'm running the old redemption rEVOlution now, but I seem to be having problems with newer apps and games running choppy when I'm double the required and framework tends to crash too often... now I also am unable to direct install to SD.... that's why I'm looking to upgrade.
As for Sky I didn't know he had a new one, saw he was working on "Athena" but it was horribly buggy from what I read. Is 4.0 that good and nice on batt?

Check out Optimised Sense by Newtoroot, pretty new but its fast.

Skyraider 4.0 hands down. It's the most stable ROM i've used and is great on battery life. I use my phone a lot and can go all day no problem with the stock battery.

Hmm, I have been stuck on CM7 for who knows how long but I flashed Skyraider 4.0 and have absolutely loved it. Skyraider 4.0 has elements of CM7, the Z roms, and the S roms built in. It's fast as hell, and it's the first Sense rom I stayed on for more than an hour in about 3 months.
If SR4 isn't for you (I can't imagine why) then go with a Z rom, maybe Warm Z nightlies or the Incredibly Re-Engineered Z.

I'm enjoying the customization of cm7 but for sense 1.0 I like skyraider, for sense 2.0 I'd say warm z. Nils business sense looks good too but I haven't tried it as it requires cwm 3+.

Fastest?? Well... Any of the sense ROMs will run differently of course, but that is easily changed with different Kernels
I'm running Skyraider 4.0 with the stock kernel and it's flawless.

No rom is flawless, there are already atleast 3 threads with different probs with sr, not to mention issues on main thread. All roms have quirks, its all in what you can live with.

I gotta cast my vote for Incredibly Re-Engineered v2.4. I've been always coming back to this super ROM. Chingy51o has put in a lot of work for this ROM to run smoothly and it shows.

If you are looking for leaked sense 2.0 roms download any rom that is a "Z" rom.
for the best sene ROM, skyraider 4.0 is it. most features, devs will be stealing his features they are so nice. I haven't had a hiccup since installing 4.0 fresh. lou's #8 kernel. easily get two days of battery. LOVE it.

Actually I tried optimized sense and I loved it. Fast, smooth, stable, i definitely recommend it.

Best Sense 3.0 ROM For Evo?

Is there even a fully working Sense 3.0 Rom out there?
And if so what ROM have you had luck with?
I am useing CM7 but wanting a little bit of a change so looking at going back to Sense and would like 3.0.

you might get some people saying Synergy will be the way to go...but its still in private beta so dont be expecting to be getting the links to it.
as for public ROMs:
you can go with either MikG ([ROM] - [MikRoms] - [6/22/2011] - MikG v2.1 - Re-Engineered GB Sense 2.1 + 3.0) or Virus's Kingdom port (|ROM|JUN 10| VirusROM Kingdom REVOlution |B1.3|2.3.3|SENSE 3.0| - xda-developers)
MikG is a hybrid between Sense 2.1 and 3.0 to make it stable (it does not have the carousel rosie)
VirusROM Kingdom REVOlution is a port from the Gingerbread leak for the upcoming HTC Kingdom (which is kinda like a smaller slightly version of the Evo 4G with the Evo 3D specs [minus 3D]) so its full 3.0 sense

if i were you i wouldn't want a fully sense 3.0 the files are just too big and don't think theres one fully stable.
But there are a couple 2.1/3.0 roms out there and there great and everything works from what i know (maybe not 4g) and there pretty stable

like Joey said....a full 3.0 ROM will take up WAY too much space since the files are huge...you are better off going with a 2.1/3.0 hybrid

I have installed and used all 3 of these ROMs and MikG is the fastest and most stable; IMHO.

hyrbid sense 3.0 themed or virus rom kingdom revoulution

I have tried all three, and until the last couple of days, Virus was my favorite. Virus gives constant updates and support of his ROMs

MikG is also quick with his updates and helpful*

Thanks for all the input! I tried a few but found myself changing so much I think I am just a fan of asop roms. but still thinking of giving on a week with out changing much to see if I can go back to sense.
The one thing I really like is the lock screen! I would love to have that on cm7.

Agreed, this would be great

Im using sacs kingdom port and its running great. Been on the v7 and haven't had any fc's or sense restarts. Only thing I can think of that its not working is the watch app.

Virus Kingdom would be my choice.

Been running b1.3 for the last week and its been a great daily. Have tried a few others but it seems some tweaks r making too much muck and isn't any better.

I just installed v8 and this thing is amazing I didn't think these ROMs could run this smooth on our phones and I'm trying to kill the battery to calibrate it and I've been on it since about 6 this morning and its 12:40 and I'm at 43% thats not bad I've been using the hell out of it trying to kill the battery.

I'm running MikG's latest ROM, and love it. Super fast, and my battery life is pretty good to.

I my opinion the best full 3.0 sense rom out now is Kinged Kingdom RLS2. It is smooth as butter and is odexed.

I have to go with synergy, I've not had a single problem! And the second release even has the panoramic camera!

It has no 720 video recording.
Do any of the 3.0 ROM's have hdmi out?
If not is that implemented on hybrid versions?

Kingdom was pretty smooth for me, but that's the only full 3.0 rom I ran. I'm back on Mik2.2 and it's the smoothest and most reliable for me. Gives you a lot of free room to play with as well.

Sorry as much as I love MikG (it is what I am running) it is a hybrid rom 2.1 with 3.0 elements. It is not a true 3.0 rom.

Synergy or Kings Alliance

Kingdom was at one point the true 3.0 sense base ROM. Now that's been switched to Synergy-Kingdom, which is still a very good ROM, but with the Synergy merger it seems to be having it's complications (Which I'm sure Virus and crew will fully sort out).
At one point I was running 6/23 Nightly AKA B1.4 w/ Burst Leo Theme, but now I am running aamikam's version of 3.0 sense (which I've been sooo longing for) which is in Alpha stage right now...D*mn good Alpha if you ask me! Super stable, my daily drive for sure.
It's on his web site, which requires sign up to access download links.

I NEVER thought I would say this until a few days ago, especially after the bad experience had with it in February, where I said I'd never go back, but I'm a MIUI junkie now.
It's pretty damn sweet.

I've used MIUI, and Synergy in the past month and I have to say that they're both really good ROMs, but I like Sense too much, so I'm on Synergy RC2.

Honestly I have tried quite a few including some ASOP and I find MikG to be great. I like the fact that it is based off of Sense. I did try ASOP (CM7) and it is fine but I was used to Sense and found ASOP to be kind of buggy and almost always missing something (many times there were fixes and work arounds but would take time and often a reflash to apply).
MikG is defiantly something for you to try. As for the kernel currently the stock kernel is really the recommended one with this ROM but I am sure there will be one developed soon. It is quite fast and includes many features from Sense 3.0. Since the kernel is stock there is no overclocking yet but every main feature is included and it seems quite stable for the modifications that have been done to it.
Right now since so much has changed with the transition from froyo to gingerbread there are quite a few updates that will require a full wipe and this gets annoying but I feel he is getting close to a version that will last a long time.
I guess from what everyone is saying I will have to check out Synergy though. Since I went to MikG I haven't read much about other roms lately and need to check this out!

I've played with far too many different roms to count.
Latest few though....
I liked the look of Synergy, but like CM7, I felt it was just a bit too much for this device. Just didn't feel snappy at all.
I've switched to the current Deck AOSP rom and love it.

Stock, unrooted with all bloatware running in background draining a battery in 5 hours.

For me it is MIKG2.2 although I tried synery more themes are available for mikg some i customize it to my liking
