Does anyone elses wifi stay stuck on cm7 when they turn it off? Mine will sit with the dim green bar on the power widget but it will never go away and then when i go into settings>wireless and networks the enable/disable box is greyed out with a check in it. I have to reboot the phone in order to fix it. Anyone else have this issue and is it a known bug? Thanks!

I had this issue on RC1, I'm on RC2 now but I haven't tested WiFi. What are you using?

Yes, i have noticed this on mine at work. Will see if it does the same thing at home.
interesting problem can more people confirm?
maybe this is related to this other case? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1313800
My guess is it needs to toggle so you can recieve calls. When we get Wi Fi calling then it will be fixed.

yup, mine does this as well. just got it a few days ago. seems like when the screen turns off, the wifi turns off with it. every time I unlock the phone, I see the wifi icon come on and connect automatically. and YES, I have checked the wifi sleep options. wifi is set to NEVER turn off.
Also it sometimes completely disconnects from my router and I have to turn wifi off and on again to reconnect.
hopefully this gets resolved with the next update.
concering the issue if you look in your wifi settings and you see it scanning every 2-3 seconds, would this fix it? i remember a developer had made this adjustment to the buildprop when i owned an optimus V.
Changed wifi supplicant scan interval to 60
Hello,
After updating from CM9 to CM10 I started facing wifi issue. My phone works normally for 1-3 days, and then wifi stops working. If I go to wifi settings, it says "Searching for Wi-Fi Networks". Also, wifi cannot be turned off. After reboot wifi operates normally for some time until this glitch happens again.
I thought it was CM-related issue, but some people say they have faced this issue even with stock JB.
Do you have this issue? How can it be fixed?

Thanks, but I'd like to know if there is a way to fix it completely Does everyone just toggles airplane mode? Is there a firmware without this issue?

No idea on how to fix it, i have it too.
It's not happening too frequently to bother me.
Is there ; Support connect to wireless network by QSS (Quick Security Setup)??
for this build patch?
I have this exact same problem on CM10. I did a full wipe and the problem remains
I will keep searching for a solution, but I really hope someone can tell us more information as to what the cause might be.

i have same problem with CM10. i flash other ROM (XenonHD) and issue has gone.sorry my bad english
Ok, this is a HUGE issue. And if I can't fix it I will have to return the phone.
My Mobile Hotspot only works with the screen on. Every time the screen turns off I lose my connection. The hotspot doesn't turn off it just stops functioning. It works fine as soon as I turn the screen back on.
This is REALLY annoying as I use my hotspot all the time. I'm on Verizon and blow thru over 20gigs of data per month.
Can anyone please help me fix this? Is it happening to anyone else?
Thnx!

A shot in the dark and I do not have an M8 right now to confirm, but did you try enabling the "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" option in Wifi->Advanced menu?

If you are using power saver that has option "Data connection - Put to sleep when screen is off"
WiFi is turned off when the hotspot is active so. Not sure how that would help.
I don't have Power Save on my Verizon M8.
Is no one else experiencing this?
Wifi still uses battery even it is turned off. Anyone has issue like me?
make sure you turn off wifi before leaving the wifi zone. this is a known issue in all lollipop builds

his complaint though is that wifi is using battery when off, not when it's on. Issue below:
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=81188
Go in settings / wifi / advanced options and untick Network notif and Always available Search (not sure it's exactly named as it since i use french settings)
After that wait about few minutes and check wifi usage as you done before to make screenshot

Wait.. what theme did you install to make the status bar with that color?
sorry for being off-topic but I'm curious.
So recently I've noticed that whenever I press the WiFi icon in the quick settings menu, it will blink/flash a few times before the icon is fully blue. It will look as though it's repeatedly being turned on. This happens when I toggle it both on and off (it'll look as though it's turning off a few times). I've restarted the phone and this issue is still here. Does anyone have the same experience or has managed to fix this issue? I've tried restarting the phone, shifting its position in the quick settings bar, removing and then putting it back in the quick settings bar. I'd appreciate it if anyone could help me with this issue.

I have the same issue. I didn't have it at first but it happened by itself after a while. It's a bug, I guess.

Aw man Not a deal-breaker or anything but it's just annoying to see on an otherwise great phone. Thanks for informing me though! Let me know if it happens to go away after doing something haha.

My wife's LG g4 is now three weeks old and I've noticed this problem I've done a factory reset I've tried all kinds of things I can't get it to stop and called lg2 told me I have to send it to the repair center in Texas I'll be out of a phone for two weeks
That's the intended design. "turning on and scanning" is sort of a state between on and off, so they make it blink to feel in-between.
Just my 2 cents though.

Same issue heer now after update. wifi wont work(
I got the LG G4 in July and have had this issue. I sent the phone for repair at their Texas facility in August. After a few weeks, I got the phone back and just within the past few weeks I've seen this issue occur again. The repair notes say that they have "Replaced Bluetooth Module". My WiFi connection disconnects when this issue occurs, so it's really annoying and a dealbreaker for me. I'm going to get a completely different phone replacement from Verizon.
Maybe a Fix
I saw this in another forum...haven't tried it yet:
Just signed in to share this.. I solved it by deleting /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf .
It will reset all your saved networks.
I have it rooted and deleted the file through a root explorer or you can remove it via adb (adb shell rm -r /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf Im not sure).
You may back it up before then open with a text reader to see your saved passwords.
Hope it helps.
I have same probom what must do?
