Honeycomb music app? - G2 and Desire Z Themes and Apps

Just wondering if anyone has the honeycomb music app workin on their g2/desire Z yet. If so, how did you go about doing it? I noticed people in other threads using a zip to flash the new apk, but I was wondering if anyone just had the apk we could install.

Is that the apk from a few months back? Find a newer one with more finalized code I bet it will work better. Google for a Xoom dump.

Desire... folder styles...

Hi, I am new to the rooting world.
Had my Desire since it came out on orange and am very very pleased with it.
Just 1 question. after my wife got an iphone 4 (overpriced and full of bugs) I really liked the folders on it.
Any free apps like that for my desire running standard (unrooted) 2.2.
Or will 2.3 have these folders... if so when will 2.3 be out for desire?
Thanks.

Do you mean the icons for the folders?
Hi, yeh its when you see the apps in the folder. The folder has a opaque style and then expands when you click on it.
Its a nice visual.

Ok similar but not exactly the same - although this is supposed to reproduce the effect you want im unable to try on the lite version but maybe worth a look
http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/tools/folder-organizer_bfzg.html
or there's this one not quite so flashy but free http://www.romoapps.com/app-bar-widgets/index.html
there's a free one in the market called SiMi Folder Widget.
Hi, sorry, been busy recently.
I liked the simi one from the market but couldnt figure out how to make folders opaque.
If anyone could advise on this I would be very greatfull.
Cheers

Best bet is if you're good with breaking down ROMs is grabbing what you want from the framework of cm9 and loading into your ROM. Usually loaded wallpapers are found there.
Otherwise a long Google image search can do it unless someone has already pulled the WP you want and posts it here.

Ya I already looked in the rom and could not find it anywhere. Searched Google, didn't think of searching xda though , good idea. Thanks. Does any one know were it would be in the framework?

In stock ICS framework it is in res/drawable-hdpi, default_wallpaper.jpg.
You should be able to use winrar or 7zip to extract it from the apk.
Edit: Or just extract the entire framework apk and browse for it.
Not too sure if this helps but I was able to extract the wallpapers from the CMWallpapers.apk using Peazip on my pc.
I'll zip it & upload it here & you tell me if that's what you were looking for.
I'll also upload the Samurai X wallpaper by itself if that's the only one you want/need
You guys are awesome. Thanks.

Same here, couldn't get it to work in Venom. Supose I have to push or wait until my weekly CM9 is onboard
Edit:
Some reading in the motherlink shows that not everything is working, for everyone
You need to manually 'mount /system" in recovery, this is made for a different device so the partition in the zip is different.
But it doesn't really work anyway...
Here's working google now apk..just need to replace it in system/apps and setting permissions..
Voice doesn't work but everything else does..

Great app!
Update: Also available in the playstore http://goo.gl/7djlm
v1.0.8 is the latest as we speak
Works on cm 10.1 ROM. Nice job.
Any chance of using them as additional notification LEDs since the actual one is a little too stealthy

It'd be much better as a widget that cycled through the 4 settings (imho)

Fantastic mod and app! Just what I was looking for!
As the developer of that app, I just wanted to chime in here. First of all, it was very cool to find this thread! I'm glad to hear that it was working for some of you. Second, I've done some work to make this app work correctly on the HTC One. If you'd like to try the latest beta version, please see the newly-created thread in the HTC One forums: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2402153. I'd really appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

Any change you could make it a cyclic 1x1 widget please? I can always find a spot on a homescreen for something this useful but rarely bother searching for an app.
Cheers.

Thanks for the idea. I've got an issue for this on the Google code page, and so should be implemented some day. I agree that it would be useful too.

Guys,
off course swiftkey could be better, but could you please answer the question? I mean, maybe somebody doesn't want 3rd party apps like swiftkey but stick to the default ones....
I personally don't know where you can find an APK for Sense5 keyboard.. should be somewhere on this forum though..
Good luck!
there are some sense 5 theme mods where you have the apk inside so it will be installed together...if you don't want the hole theme download it and extract the htc_ime.apk ...it should be in system/app/ in the zip...then just put the apk on the sdcard of your phone and then use a root file manager like es file manager or so take the htc_ime.apk and put it in system/app/ and set the rw-r-r permissions then reboot and you will have it
Doesn't it need the new sense framework?

i don't know if it is themed from sense 4 to sense 5....but it looks like it and yes for the real sense 5 keyboard we need the new framework which isn't that easy to port now...we need then just to wait for the official update it's just one or 2 months away from us
