I'm not sure if that's possible (well I'm sure maybe it is, but no idea how). Every time I've ever changed to any font, it changes everything. Everything. I've always used the stock browser, and that always changes with the font change. I have never tried a different browser, like dolphin HD or Miren, but maybe you could try one of those and see if it retains the original font or if it also changes.

Thanks, any other opinion

Well as far I know is supposed to be like that. When you flash font that will change font on everything.

The browser uses the system font. You changed the system font. What kind of other options are you looking for? Its pretty black and white.

Use Firefox Mobile for your browser. It uses its own fonts.
That was one of the things I hated about it, actually. If I set a font for the system, that's the font I want to have everywhere. Obviously, some people disagree. For you, there is Firefox.

Firefox to the rescue!

[Theme Request] adw launcher's minimalist theme

Here's a picture of my home screen. I like to keep things simple. It's the adw minimalist homescreen. I was wondering if there was a way to get the battery color to not be green.
I was looking at some themes, but didn't want to download the entire theme to just get the status bar.
Is there a theme out there that's super simple like my homescreen?

Oops, hit the thanks button instead of quote. So I'm not sure if there is a like what you want, but the status bar can be modified by changing the framework-res.jar file. If you find a theme with a battery you like, you can grab those images from the framework-res.jar in it to mod your own. (You'll have to search to see which files they are---I'm not a big modder of the file myself.)
Alternatively, you can try using the online kitchen at this site: http://circle.glx.nl/. They allow you to select from a wide variety of battery types where you can customize the color scheme. They also allow you to modify other elements of your framework. After you make your selections, you just upload your existing framework-res.jar and download the one they modify for you. If all you want is to change your battery icon, this is probably your best bet.

[Q] Which XML to edit to fix this?

Hi all,
I use a custom theme that is just a hodgepodge of things I liked from other themes, plus my own touches.
Recently I've noticed an issue where certain text boxes will appear with black text on a black background, making the text invisible. If I click in one of these boxes, the background will temporarily turn white and I'll be able to see the text, but it means clicking on each box that looks like this.
I'm experiencing the issue in multiple apps, but not all.
Here's the problem for a contact. Notice that the first name and phone number are not visible:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But it doesn't always present an issue. Here's GMail looking fine:
Can anyone tell me which XML entry (or entries) I need to update to fix this?
Thanks!
Your skills probably outreach my own but I think its in values/colors.xml in either com.htc.resouces or systemui. Should be one of them if its a shared value.
This might be tough to track down. What Rom are you using? Do you notice it more in third party or market apps as opposed to system apps?

Sorry - I didn't realize how little info I included in my original post
I'm using CM7 nightlies and this is a Theme Chooser theme. I don't notice any pattern between system apps and non-system apps, but I've switched back to an older version of my theme for now.
I've been able to narrow it down to a point in time... I have one working version "before" and one broken version "after." Now I just need to comb through them to figure out what I changed... then evaluate each change to see which one caused this.

Viper ROM 2.2 bold font issue?

Just installed 2.2 properly (ie wipes etc) and the fonts on the whole phone are different from what I'm used to seeing on Starburst and other ROMs. No issues really but my gmail app is screwy.
My message list displays funny when new emails come in that are bold. It seems like my whole message list goes bold (and somewhat blurry) so even read emails go bold.
I suspect some font is missing or corrupt but I have no clue how to fix.
Any suggestions?

Here's a screenshot to show you the issue:

The "Test" email at the top should be bold type. All other messages should NOT be bold. It's almost like Gmail is using the wrong fonts.
I tried setting all fonts to DroidSans in the system and GoLauncher with no luck.
The screenshot doesn't show it, but the resolution looks goofy too almost like there's a little blur around the letters on the screen.
rather than create a thread this should be asked in the viper rom thread. viper rom is a custom rom with some things changed, read the OP and you will find a zip to flash back to the stock look.

I would have if I could have, but I didn't have 10 posts so I couldn't post in there.
What ZIP are you talking about? I scoured the thread for a long time. Threads with 1,000 posts are kind of hard to skim through. LOL
Nevermind...I found the zip for the stock fonts.
At least I have 10 posts now!

[THEME]{URBAN STYLE}[DropUI inspired]

Hey folks!
About on week ago, i was looking make some changes in SGS3 but i didn't see anything interesting. Then i found this thread "Drop UI" and i looks just amazing. The only problems that i saw with it, was the fact that some paid apps are needed to make this work.
Anyway i brought all my those apps and set up my phone, and i must say that it was looking pretty good! So, after that, when i understood when the "Theme" works, i decided to make my own theme, Drop UI is really beautiful but for me it looks a lot like an iPhone.
After took some fonts, look for some images and spend a lot of time in front of Photoshop, i got a theme that i call it "Urban Style". It tried to make it minimalist as possible but i didn't get what i was looking for, instead of it "Urban Style" is a cool theme made just by black-white-grey colours, some "Cities images" and also "Robot" font downloaded just from "Google Design".

All the images was taken from "Flickr" which has "Common Creative Copyright".
The icons are property of "hunterdsg" and it was downloaded from here
If you like it and would like to use, just follow the tutorial from "DropUI" but using the images from my zip file. I'm also thinking about doing my own tutorial and how to change the paid apps for free ones. All comments are welcome.
The main idea of this kind of theming, came from "SilentRazor", so all the credits is for him.

Good one mate. I have succesfully applied your theme with some adjustment of my own. You should post it on mycolorscreen.com and make one with more colourful wallpapers

Could be lato.
Also, if you use this font, there's a chance some apps might not display the font perfectly because this font has a different proportion. No big deal though. Enjoy!
Futura, I believe.

The font is Futura. Note the distinct "g" and "j".
I do not recommend this font as a system font. Stick with Roboto (4.2) or Roboto (4.3). Futura is not a neutral font and inflects too much emotion onto words. It's intended for brief, pointed logos. Not for General purpose reading. Roboto not only looks good on high dpi screens, but it is neutral enough to allow you to focus on the content of the text rather than thinking about how it looks.
Believe me, I've experimented with Segoe UI, and while it looked great, I sometimes found myself being distracted with how good it looked as opposed to what I was reading. Also, the shape of Roboto characters have the highest readability of any sans-serif font.
Although I recommend Calibri for document creation. Just not for reading.
