Is there or anyone know of any apps to block/redirect particular calls?
i.e. if phone number 07123456789 calls then it will automatically send to voicemail / another number or even just disconnect?
and/or if it worked for unknown numbers even better...
Keep getting nuisance calls, I've changed my number once and don't really want to do it again as I've only just got used to this one - I read that o2 will just suggest to change number
Thanks
In your dialer's call log, long press the number, then select the option to add to blacklist It should instant redirect it to voicemail.
long press the number and i get 'view detailed call history' 'edit number before calling' ('view contact' or 'save to people') 'send text message' 'delete from call history'
no blacklisting?
however, if i go into the contacts and i can select the 'send to voicemail' feature and turn it on
thanks!

Hi all.
I have been looking all over for an answer to this:
I've always used the standard HTC 2G dialler for one simple reason. As I start typing a number, the list shows not only my contacts that match what I type, but also recent calls from my call history. Which means that if I type 866, I see the contact "Unni" before I see "Tom", because I called Unni recently.
This way of sorting calls is available in the context menu for the dialpad (view- calls and contacts).
But in the 3G dialpads, I can't find this option. They ONLY show contacts from my address books, not sorted by order of recent contact.
Does anybody know how to make the 3G (or Schap's 2G dialpad) behave this way??
Thanks all!!
Hi,
I have a quite strange behaviour in my DHD and wonder if it's a bug or what.
The case is like this; I have a contact with multiple numbers, let's say one mobile number and one call number.
I call the mobile number and then it shows that there's an outgoing call for that contact with its mobile number in both the "recent calls" and the "call history" logs.
Then I call the work number, and it again shows in both "recent calls" and "call history" numbers with no problem.
Then I call the mobile number again... the problem occurs here... it doesn't show in the "recent calls" as it still stuck at the last (work number), however it can be shown in the "call history" with no problem.
Even if I got a missed call from the mobile number, it still doesn't show up in the "recent calls" but it's in the "call history".
If I went to the "call history" of this contact and deleted the wrok number dialled event; it shows starts to show on the "recent calls" that I have a missed call from the mobile number.
Hope it's clrear
please, advise.
Thanks,
Dears,
Can any one tell me if the same case happens to him/her?
Thanks,
I recall in CM7 that blacklisting numbers from the call log (long press on the number, then press blacklist) was possible, but I haven't seen that option since starting to use ICS. Am I missing something? Is this still possible? Does it require a different caller apk?

I recall this as well in CM7. In ICS, it is integrated into the new "People" app (previously Contacts).
From what I remember, blacklisting in CM7 sent all calls from that person directly to voicemail. To reach this from the Dialer app in CM9:
- Click on the contact's icon
- Click the image again to go to their contact in the People app
- Open the menu and select "All calls to voicemail"
Hope this helps!

Thanks; that is close, it's actually what I do now. The nice feature about the blacklist was you didn't have to have the person added as a contact. The caller wouldn't show up in missed calls, either. Sending "all calls to voicemail" still requires adding the person as a contact and logs that as a missed call.
Close, but no cigar.

I use Avast! for this. It has a bunch of blacklist / call screening options that work on a root level to bypass the dialer. It can also keep logs & such if you want, but keeps it out of the main dialer logs. I definitely recommend!
I normally use my "normal" phone number to dial from, but at times, I wish to use my Google Voice number to initiate a call.
I now use the "Ask me everytime" option within Google Voice.
Ideally, I would like to see the option displayed, but if no response is made, to default to the "normal" phone number.
Inasmuch as 90% of the time, I use the normal dialing process, I could just wait and place the call.
Currently, if I don't make a selection, the call is cancelled.
Does anyone know of a modification to the "Ask me everytime" option that would address my concerns?
Many thanks in advance

I don't have a real answer to your question, but I typically use the toggle on the GV widget.
My provider (Wind Mobile) sends me notification texts when I receive a voicemail. In these texts is a shortcut 5-digit number, which I can dial to listen to the specific voicemail directly, instead of having to dial the main voicemail and using the menu to listen to all new messages. The text message will say something like "dial 00025 to listen to it directly".
When I got my phone, these messages would have the 5-digit number hyperlinked, so I would just press it and it would take me to my dialer, and I could call it. After my phone received the 4.3 update, these types of numbers no longer were hyperlinked to the dialer, and this behaviour didn't improve after the 4.4.2 update either.
Does anyone know how I can restore this functionality in the stock messaging app?
