Hey I'm running the latest clockworkmod 3.0 and I'm using a android 2.3 rom but I am wanting to go back to android 2.2 rom and I was wondering where I can find clockworkmod 2.6. I like android 2.3 but I know somethings are not supported for it yet. Thanks

Yes. CWM 3.0.0.5 supports both 2.3 and 2.2 ROMs back and forth compatibility no problems.
Next time OP, post in the Q and A forum please.
I can conferm it works, I use it to go between 2.2 & 2.3 roms most days
Note: Emothers TheOffical doesn't work though, have to flash the old recovery to flash that rom (Located under experamental builds at the bottom!)

I Can't update rooted HTC Evo via UnrEVOked with stock Froyo 2.2 Rom
Help anyone ?

if you are talking about updating to the newest updated RUU from sprint, you dont want to ever accept updates from sprint when you have root.
to update to the newest sprint RUU, you have to flash it. here is how:
step 1: download a deoxdexed version in this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=874251
step 2: boot into recovery and flash it
good luck!
& that's gonna wipe out everything ? Right ?

The same one that Sprint just released ?

Gingerbread isn't fully stable on evo yet. The new sprint release isn't gingerbread.

Swyped from Eva running Myn's RLS4!
You should be able to keep everything how you have it. When you flash an updated ROM you have to wipe the Cache and Dalvik but most of the time you will be ok not doing a full Factory reset/wiping data.
ALWAYS make a nandroid backup first though, you will be cussing yourself later on if you don't.
So what is this update that Sprint just released ?
Any release date on gingerbread ?

Can I get this update elsewhere ?

Yes Yes... what is the new update, if not Gingerbread???
Its just a maintenance release, it tweaks some things, upgrades your radios, upgrades the kernel, and adds a few new programs. You won't see gingerbread till sometime early 2011.
So I update to new rooted rom (3.70) and all the radio the calk has and now I can't not go back to any other rom the it hasnt been update to 3.70 I could use call 3.7(evio 2 1.7) and the stock one and even the refined or wvt(the one without the languages) bimut if I try calk hd, echo gd.or myn's rls 4 they just get stock on the white screen(HTC evo 4G ) for a while and doesn't do anythinh , I am not flashing anything else btw, so any help will. Do thanks in advance
Edit : even cm 6.1.1 and gb beta builds work

Try flashing the older radio combo first then the other ROMs.

I very much doubt you here anything. Maybe you hear something?
What shows up in ROM Manager is up to a ROM's developers And in the case of MIUI, the sticky message on forums.miui-dev.com which announces the new release requests: "PLEASE do not post direct links to the download or mirrors on other sites. I am trying to keep track of as much information as possible. Thanks!".
So go to MIUI-dev.com to get that site's fruits.
Installs with cwm 3, runs awesome with chads newest!

Many thanks, been away and couldn't see them for looking!
Sorry for coming up with such an old post.
- Is that still, today, the last RUU from HTC?
- If yes, are they 100% working methods to get root and S-OFF after flashing this?
- Will flashing this erase my recovery (CWM 5)?
Thanks!
Hey all,
I have a stock 2.3.3 device and I was elated to see that there is now a root for it. My question: The main reason that I want (need) to Root is that 2.3.3 broke ActiveSync and I can no longer sync my calendar / email (hitting this like many others).
My point is, I'd like to go back to 2.2 but am honestly not sure if there is a way even if it's just using the base image. I'd like to go to a custom ROM but most of them are updating and until Google fixes 2.3.3, I want to stay Froyo.
Any thoughts?
Root and then flash a stock rooted rom of 2.2 i believe that's all u need to do

Hm, I guess I wasn't ware that Myn's hadn't made the 2.3.3 jump - before I unrooted I had used that ROM.
Thanks, I'll give it a go!
