Hey guys,
I have got a brand new HTC Touch HD with WindowsMobil 6.1 and I saw this picture here:

How can I make my interface like this? I heard I have to use "Manila" but all cab Files I installes ("Manila 2.5 v3.0(beta)", "Manila 2.5 v2.9", etc.) didn't work.
Somebody told me I have to "cook" something (??).
Is here somewhere a step by step tutorial?
Yes it's possible to have that interface, but...
First of all You have to read a lot about flashing new ROM to your phone, because your picture shows newer system with new Manila (a.k.a. Sense 2.5)
Check this post for ROM section:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=453
and when You'll decide to change everything, choose ROM with Cookie's Home Tab (this is very powerful tool for changing home tab)
After that You won't recognize your new device
If you want to know more about CHT read this:

GOOD LUCK and have fun!

Reading around in the net I found the review of a new phone: E-TEN M600, follow the link: http://www.mobiletechreview.com/E-TEN_M600.htm. They talk about a new software called INDEX DIAL. I am curious about it; it seems a cool tool. Any information about it? Does anybody know where it can be found? Thank you for your help. Paul.
Since you still haven't received any answers let me at least try to point you in the right direction.
ETEN M600 is not a new phone. It's been around for over a year and despite looking good on paper it had a ton of problems and needed constant ROM updates. I considered buying it my self when it first came out, but now I am glad I didn't.
The app you are talking about is a feature unique to this phone (ETEN bought / wrote the app and stuck it in ROM) and is not available for other phones. (At leas I haven't heard of a 3rd party app that does this)
Hoeven, programs have been extracted from the eten ROM. You should look in the ETEN specific forum (this board is mainly about HTC manufactured devices) maybe someone extracted the index dial.
Good luck.
I ripped this one ages ago. Don't know if it's the same thing.

how to create a link to this program?
YES!! I love this program: I installed it on my MDA (T-Mobile USA) and it works fine. My problem is how to create a link so that I can activate it fast. It doesn't show in the Programs, it doesn't show in the Items setting, nor in the Menus setting, nor can it be associated to any button. Any suggestion?
Thank you, Paul.

but you can also restore by default with Diamond TF3D Config il you have install a ".theme" or delete the theme if it's a ".cab"
Thanks for the files but these are not what we (at least "I" am looking for). It is the Manila files that make up the TouchFlo 3D interface. These are not covered by the Windows Mobile Theme.
IN my particular case, it appears that installing Panosha's Communications Manager Tab, the "background" of the tab got turned into a transparent page so that if I now try and bring up the Communications Manager, I simply get an overlay of the buttons on the page used to call it up. And I have tried uninstalling Panosha's utility - to no avail.
Wellowell. I've done a hard-reset. So here is the original 5xx_manila file. (the 4xx_manila doesn't exists)

Sorry mate I don't have the cab but you may be interested in Fingerboard 2.1... try it
i have finger keyboard on the Rom i am using at the moment.
i liked the other keyboard on the old 6. & 6.1 Roms.
someone must have a cab file. if not how can i extract it from a rom.
I too am looking for the old style keyboard as a cab. these finger-friendly keyboards take up way too much space and I'm way faster with the stylus. particularly taking into account the gesture support for capitalisation, space and backspace.
EDIT: I just found the solution for this issue - Resco Keyboard Pro. I can't believe I haven't come across this earlier even though I had looked at various alternative keyboard apps. This one does in fact have everything the original built-in keyboard had - plus more. It supports the same gestures and is fully customizable. Granted, it's not for free but from what I can tell after testing it for a couple of hours, it seems to be worth it.

ShowTabTip
Some users used to have problems with text forms (with touchscreen too), the touch keyboard didn't appear and it's very annoying to open osk or the touch panel manually
This tool is very tiny (<900KB) and run in background, only an icon in notification area will be show
This tool check a clicked/tapped textbox and opens the touch keyboard
This is the first version, so sometimes it might not function, biu I've tested with a lot of user, so iThink that it functions correctly
Sorry for bad english
Waiting for feedback!

Does not work on Acer W700, Windows 8 x64. Additional components are required?
As I writed before, this is the first version and sometimes the keyboard did't appear, butI don't know why and I'm trying to find a solution
This app don't require anything other as far I know...
Is this based on an autohotkey script?
Yes, and the script is based on a script that i found on ahk forum here: http://www.autohotkey.com/board/topic/89058-help-converting-autoit-script-to-ahk/ with some edits to make it smarter
This does not work... have tested on Dell Latitude 10 x86... icon appears in taskbar, but I click the address pane in internet explorer and nothing happens, still have to open keyboard manually.. Its a shame because that is something that really pisses me off about Windows 8 and I hate using metro mode all the time because apps only run full screen..
