If I try to boot my phone it gets stuck looping the 4g animation. I'm not able to boot into recovery and trying to fastboot into bootloader just takes me to the starting screen. I have already tried literally everything suggested on the other related posts. Any new suggestions or should I just take it into Sprint?

Okay, so when you boot, you get a boot loop. When you pull the battery, put it back in, hold voldown and power do you get to the bootloader? If so, most likely that you'll be able to recover. If you can get to the bootloader (which I think you can, because of the info you posted right about, doubt you have that memorized, lol) So it say's you're S-on. Were you rooted before? s off? I'm not sure if you can flash a custom recovery with s on, I don't think you can. You could try that first, try using the bootloader to flash the PC36IMG I attatched, it's amon ra's 2.3. If that doesn't work, try running a PC36IMG of the factory rom, and try to get back to stock. Or you could use an RUU. I wish you luck. Here's a link to all RUU's and PC36IMG's for the Evo
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=884060&highlight=hboot-0.97+ruu
I flashed a PC36IMG and it booted me into a stock, unrooted sprint rom but after I rebooted once the phone went black and vibrated 5 times. I tried to do it over againg it the screen just goes black when I try to reboot after flashing PC36IMG.

got it fixed using info from dougpiston.com. what a lifesaver.
i used the ruu update from htc for gingerbread it updated it and worked until i restarted it now it will only boot to the hboot screen is there any way i can just root it and put cm on it without bein able to access the main part of the phone also i cant move the highlight in the hboot screen
so you flashed a DHD RUU on an Inspire? that would probably destroy your device since the dhd and the inspire have different radios and so on.
please post the text that you see in the hboot so it would ve easier for us to help you

no its the official inspire one from htc
Ok I don't know what I did but I turned it on today and it boots normally again but into safe mode
Edit
I looked around and it said to restart to get out of safe mode well that got me back to hboot

Having the same exact problem phone wont do anything put the stock img on sd card it searches then says its loading but wait itll take you right back to the hboot screen can move anything, going to try and make a goldcard and see if it willl work then
I'm also having the same problem, with a few differences. First off, the update I tried to flash was obtained from this thread, where I also posted: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16987136#post16987136
HBoot displays the following, and I cannot move the cursor/highlight:

the rest is the same as above...
It just boot loops from the HTC logo, to the HTC "quietly brilliant" logo, to the AT&T logo, then back again to the "quietly brilliant" one, so on and so forth. I'm looking to get the stock HTC ROM flashed on here but obviously can't get anything accomplished... no way to get PC to recognize phone, no way to put another ROM on phone, no way to get into phone at all. Any and all help greatly appreciated. Thnks.
edit: When HBoot is started, it doesn't let me move the higlight/cursor, then asks me if I want to update... If I say yes, it updates again and gives me the same boot loop. If I say no, it kicks me back out, reboots, and loops again.
Any ideas?
htc told me that the vol down button is most likely broke on mine but that this seems to be a common problem since the last update so if you want unknown sources of gingerbread i think i would go with something other than the stock rom i know i will after i get mine back from htc
Hi,
I have desire in my hand. It is S-OFF. I tried many flash files and it flashes okay and turns on. but right after reboot it goes to boot loader again. I have 3 phones like this one. What I am doing wrong? Please advice.
can you explain that a little better please? Have you tried using a different recovery and then flashing a rom?
what are you flashing, a rom? also, what rom is it, are you flashing with hboot or recovery, what hboot, cdma or gsm desire?
I am flashing a GSM desire. Flashed with these flash files

RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed.exe
Phone successfully flashes and even turn on normal but as soon as you reboots phones. It just goes to hboot mode.
Do I have to flash some kind of radio or recovery image. Please advice.
Were any errors shown? On which hboot are you?
No Errors, it just boot in bootloader mode.

In lay man words I would say its boot sector is corrupted and it does not boot itself.
So this only happens when you reboot? Do you have a reboot menu?

Where is reboot menu? Sorry I am not getting your point.
I've been trying to unroot my EVO all day with no luck whatsoever. I successfully flashed the zip file to turn S-On but I can't flash back to stock unrooted from H-Boot. Tried to go the RUU route as well but I keep getting error 120 for my battery being supposedly under 30 percent even though it's at a full charge. Pretty much beyond frustrated right now and need any help I can get!

I have tried doing clear with hboot and I have also tried choosing recovery until it gets to a red triangle and exclamation point and then either pulling the battery and restarting or pressing the vol up and choosing reset. It is still stuck in a loop.
As I read through
I found a thread somewhere (which of course I can't find now) that I thought had the same bootloader version, etc as above. It suggested to download PC36IMG_supersonic_gb_sprint_wwe_4.67.651.3_radio_2.15.00.12.19_nv_2.33_release_234563_signed.zip, rename PC36IMG.zip, copy to root of SD card and boot with hboot. When I did this I got a message that the ROM I was trying to install was older than what was currently installed .
As I read further through this post I saw that my radio was newer. Someone else posted who was having this problem who had the same hboot information as I have. It was an older thread but at that time they did not have a stock ROM available to do a recovery. The suggestion was to see if the phone could be unlocked with the HTCDEV method.
I was able to successfully unlock it. The hboot info is now:

Since I can't find this thread I don't know what they suggested I do next.
Since it is now unlocked, can I install any stock ROM with hboot?
Ultimately I'd like to install a custom ROM, but, for now I need a stock ROM because I want to use it with FreedomPop and you need Sense to set the profile.
You need to flash a custom recovery now and then you can install a rom
