Although I have read numerous times that people want to disable their camera sound, I am among the few who want to hear the shutter click sound.
I wanted to know how to get the sound to work. I am using MetroDroid 2.0 and the click does not work when enabled. I checked the path and sound is installed. Just not sure how to redirect
I've had this issue.....install sound manager from market and see what system volume is
Swyped from my EVO running CyanogenMod 7 Nightlies
Will give it a go. Thanks.
No luck there...system was at loudest setting. Appreciate the help nonetheless.

No worries.
Swiped from my rooted Evo on Metro PCS
Working backwards, if the advice to the silent group is to delete the sound, maybe you could check to see if you have /system/media/audio/ui/camera-click.ogg. If you don't, get it from another rom.
If you do, then I wouldn't know what to do.
MIUI 1.2.25 with stock kernel
HW003
That's a good start...

Hmm...I have that sound in place

Is this an issue with the EVO or with EVO camera app on other phones? I have flashed this on my Droid Incredible, and can't find a solution for the missing shutter.

Are you rooted? Well even if your not Shootme has been updated to work without root I believe. I use Screenshot from giksoft and it has a timer option or a shake to snap option.

Cant figure out for the life of me what i keep hitting that is taking screen shots! lol i'm not sure if its the rom or the evo 4g.. when i google it it tells me applications to download but i haven't downloaded nothing for that. Its something custom on this rom and i cant figure it out! lol i do it daily multiple times... by just pressing some kinda keys on my evo... Can someone help me out?? Its irritating
Also using anthrax kernal so not sure if that would have anything to do with it but i believe it was doing this before the kernal got flashed.

Read post by Meltus that Google has blocked his hack. Go to market, search on "Meltus", read comments.
I've got cyanogenmod running on my phone, and trust me, you don't want to make the speaker any louder. HTC has already pushed the poor thing to its limit, and if you turn it even the slightest bit higher then you start getting lots of distortion and stuff.

Hey Guys, I'm kind of new to the whole Modding of Software and Rom's. But i Recently changed from Cyanogen Mod 7 (rc4) to Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo. I love Myn's ROM but there is one problem. I'm an active Dubstep Dance/Electro Listener and i Used DSP Manager ALOT! Especially for the Bass Boost. But when i when To Myn's Warm 2.2 it did not have the Bass Boost feature. Is there anyway i can Flash/Install/update DSP manager? Thanks.

You are the reason why I hate just about every single person on XDA. He asked a legitimate question that is clearly marked with [Q]. Though it isn't in the right section as it should be and it'll most likely be moved. However, your response is 0% helpful to his question or this thread in any way, shape, or form.
You could have simply offered a positive way to help him or just not said anything at all. But, you had to raise your low post count by trying to be a dumb smart ass.
Edit: To answer your question, OP, you can try using Root Explorer or something similar to pull the DSP Manager out of CM and then use Root Explorer on Myn's to over-write the existing one. If you aren't on CM, then open the update zip and pull the DSPManager.apk out, put it on your SD card, then use Root Explorer in Myn's to over-write the old one. Make sure you mount your filesystem as read/write first. That should do the trick for you.

Does anyone know where I could currently download an older Evo 4G Rom, called
"Evolved Rom Shifted RC One"? Loved this original Rom, and dumped all my EVO files, after I upgraded to my new Cell signal dropping SGSIII phone. I recently went back to a new original Evo 4g from Amazon.
Appreciate any help!
would this happen to be the rom you wanted? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1091799

Thank you for your suggestion, I tried your Rom recently, however I experienced difficulty with extreme lag. I appreciate your taking time to assist me with an alternative Rom!!
Take care,
Download seeder (the app) and see if it helps any with the lag issues
If you dont know what I'm talking about, look up "seeder entropy generator to produce significant lag reduction" and go to the XDA thread hit
Then just download the latest apk (its attached to the original post)
Now install and open it, make sure "suspend rng service" is checked and tap the "enable" button in the top left and you should be good, if its working the bar at the bottom will shoot up and either be completely green or almost completely green/filled

So I have been trying out all of the available roms for my specific device and I found my favorite was LT02wifi 4.2.2 by @mkaymuzik (currently beta 3) I like that is 4.2 so I can move apps to SD and how light it is. But there is one thing that is constantly bugging me is that even though I have touch sounds enabled they don't work. I have tried to find a way to fix it like: increasing system volume even with volume manager +, disabling and enabling it, restarting. I have looked around for other solutions but they don't work. I never really noticed how accustom I was to it until its now gone. So if anyone can help me with this it would be much appreciated.
Edit 1: I have checked the location for the sound and it is still there and I can play it, it just wont play when I touch things
Edit 2: Actually no I'm stupid the sound I thought was it wasn't, the touch sound is just missing. I feel really dumb now.
