when i uninstalled launcerpro app from my Lg optimus one, my phone was left without a launher app, so now i dont have any UI. Phone still works, i coud get to the diler and sms app thorugh some shortcuts on status bar, but i cannot get into any other menus. I tried hard reset to get it to factory settings, but it didn't work. So the question is how to install a launcer app, so i can have a fully functional phone again.
Thanks

I have recently upgraded my DHD to 2.3.3 and everything seems to work just fine except for one thing.
In the dialer, the area above the buttons usually show my recent call list and if I press any numbers it shows quick contacts lookup.
After the upgrade however, this area is blank. I played a bit around with the dialer and noticed that if I press a few numbers and then delete them again, the blank area is suddently showing the contacts list again (as it is supposed to). After that it works as it normally would in the dialer.
I talked to a few others which have similar problems but we havent been able to pinpoint a pattern for why this happens.
Anyone inhere have the same problem and more importantly - anyone that knows how to fix this?
I did a normal upgrade without factory reset - one of the other guys with the problem did a factory reset as well.
If you are using a non-stock launcher (ADW / LauncherPro etc...) you must delete the shortcut from your homescreen or dock, and re-add it. Also, if you launch phone from the app drawer, it should appear normal.
How did you work that out? Very impressed! Been bugging me for days.
Okay, so this seems to be a bug - LG Keyboard seems to be on top of everything, and when I say that, I mean everything.
For example, my LG Keyboard is on and on the screen, I pull down notifications and they go below the keyboard - so I need to press "Back" button to bring down the keyboard in order to properly view notifications. I believe everyone here who uses Facebook also has the Messenger app - Messenger app has bubbles of people in active conversation - when I drag these bubbles down and I'm typing in any other chat (LG Keyboard is up) they go below the keyboard, they get covered by it.

So, I have absolutely no idea what could be causing this. My last resort is to save videos and images and do a factory reset. I tried looking this very issue up on Google, but no luck. Anyone got any ideas?
Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question, but have you tried adjusting the keyboard height?
Currently I use the google dialer/phone as the default phone app, but that doesn't go well with the circle case, is there anyway that my phone would use the normal phone app whilst in quick circle case?
I haven't disabled it or frozen it, it's still functioning if I were just to change it back to default.
Greetings,
Had my galaxy 5 for about a week. LTE version US. Finally set up to mostly work. Question about contacts.
When using default Samsung phone app, there are two icons on the top of the screen: left is green dial and right is orange contact shortcut. The contact shortcut works after some reboots but after another reboot it does not. Pressing the button does nothing, like it does not exist. I downloaded a separate contact app to match my phone, which works fine from the app drawer. However, shortcut from the phone app does nothing. All permissions are allowed for both phone app and contact app.
What am I doing wrong? Why does it work sometimes, but not always. The only way to fix is another factory reset. Any thoughts?
Thanks
I don't know how to get it back. I use Nova Launcher.
I reset the phone fresh and that fixed it. I guess I accidentally deleted some Motorola thing that controlled the recent apps.
how did you 'reset'? i got same problem, whenever i use a new launcher, recents button stop working.
