Hy guys
I want change my galaxy s with the new Lg Optimus dual; I want change my device with this product because is less expensive than other device, is already available, have a better camera and, finally, have this particular function: “on screen phone”: I have read on the Lg web sit concerning this function: I think that maybe a real god function for me, because with this function, I can connect by cable my device to my pc and work with the mouse and keyboard of my pc, with the screen of my pc but with my phone directly; I can connect my device to the office pc and work with my document that I have in to my device and not use anything’s of my pc…
My question is if is available already some similar software that allow me this operation with my galaxy s, or if is only a special feature of this new android smartphone..
Thanks’ in advance

Basically, ACS released an application called Smart Biz Card that allows you to read and write contact NFC tags with the popular ACR122 connected via USB host. The application is only for tablets, so it will look strange on phone screens, but this can be fixed by entering tablet mode.
I'm sure many of you viewing this sub-forum also have a ACR122, so maybe this application will provide some clues as to unlocking more advanced features through external readers?

My thinking was that this sort of thing would be ideal for NFC hacking. The documentation for the ACR122 states that it can do card emulation (but everyone seems to be having trouble with it). If we could somehow get the drivers for the ACR122 working fully with Android, it would provide a good alternative to trying to access our phones' secure elements for card emulation.
This could also have some more practical uses, e.g. for event ticketing on a small scale?

i some point i agree with you, but i think will be (maybe) simpler to use the ACR122 in pc (mac/winbooze) and transfer it in some Android apps
but at least you are right card emulation it's a problem currently
ACS USB NFC reader
Hi
Have you actually had this working on a tablet? I have tried with a Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 (2) and the reader is not recognised. Some other readers which have chipsets Samsung support are recognised and show up as an HID. But the ACR122U doesnt appear.

I would guess they are missing the mandatory drivers to use them. Btw, are you sure they are recognized as HID? They actually should be recognized as CCID, if I remember correctly. Can you confirm they actually work?
ACR122 on Galaxy
I have no idea where I would get drivers. ACD who produce the device have only given a lava library for access which seems to use direct USB calls. And it seems to have been broken with ICS.
Tjis Android world looks quite muddy from my first experiences

I used to be able to view and control some of my older phones on my PC through the USB connection, but I haven't been able to find out if this is possible yet with android phones, specifically my new GN2. I know I can get the dock and hook up one of my PC monitors to a switch, and I also know there is a way to connect a bluetooth keyboard/mouse, and then use a HLA adapter to run a monitor. I have also looked at a couple programs that use VPN connections to "host" android devices on websites that you can access with your PC via web browser, but as far as I can tell you are limited to what you can do (web browser, messaging, email).
I'm really looking for a stand alone program that I can open on my PC that, when connected to my GN2 via USB, will duplicate the devices display in a window and allow control of the device with the PCs keyboard and mouse. Does such a program exist? Thanks all.
i have never seen anything like this. What would be the purpose of this?
To control my phone with my workstation peripherals while at work if I want to view a website that is blocked by my works firewall, or simply to respond to a text message without having to turn on my phones screen
I have two of these keyboards, one of which was originally purchased for use with a MythTV box and the other of which was for use with an iPad. I'd like to use them with my Android devices, and while I have one working with a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, the other one refuses to work with a Moto X.
Both devices are running CyanogenMod 11 (aka Android 4.4.4). To set up pairing, I've turned off other Bluetooth devices in the vicinity: a couple of OpenELEC boxes (which are set up to use Playstation 3 Blu-ray remotes) and whichever device (phone or tablet) I'm not currently trying to pair. The tablet pairs with the keyboard without issue. The phone? Not so much.
The best I can get out of it is a "can't communicate" error if the PIN is entered correctly, or a "wrong PIN" error if it isn't. A good bit of the time, it won't even give me that much; it'll just sit there waiting while I keep pounding the PIN into the keyboard. In addition to making sure other nearby Bluetooth devices are off, I've even tried shutting off WiFi and cellular, leaving just Bluetooth on.
My keyboards are 2009 and 2011 models, as identified here: (delete spaces that were added to bypass this forum's lame link blocking)

I've gotten neither of them to work with the Moto X. (It's the 2009 keyboard that's paired to the tablet...haven't tried the 2011 keyboard to see if it behaves differently.)
I've tried the hack described below, but the file it references doesn't exist: (Can't even link another post in this forum? Lame.)

I don't have any non-Apple Bluetooth keyboards with which to test, as I kinda have more Bluetooth keyboards than I really need. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or am I just SOL on getting a Bluetooth keyboard to work with the Moto X? (I've had USB keyboards connected to it before, but these Apple keyboards are the smallest and most portable that I have.)
Hi guys,
I'm looking for a software which will allow me to connect any android phone to a Windows laptop or a PC and then use the Windows device as a phone - to make & receive calls and to send/review/reply to messages.
This is already implemented in a lot of vehicles when you pair the phone and then call/answer through the car's UI. I'm looking for the same thing but using a Windows device (laptop, PC - with Bluetooth) like the car in the example.
Can you advise me about such a software?
Thanks!
Solution found!
I found a solution for Samsung devices and it's called SideSync. It's a Samsung app for the phone and a pc version with Windows and Mac support. It allows you to do everything on the PC which is great.
Since I recently switched from HOX to Galaxy S6 Active it works great for me. Don't know about other phones thought. It may be restricted to Samsung devices only? You can try and advise if it works for you.
Recently I see Asus is producing UX580 which has a touch screen as mouse pad. This is exactly what I want my android phone to do, but don't know how.
As I have used miracast a lot between my PCs, I know for sure this is already technically possible. It should be like this: use Android phone as miracast receiver, pc connects to the phone to use it as an extra screen, pc receives the touch moves as operating commands.
All we need is just a software to activate the phone as a miracast receiver if I am not wrong?
