Not sure how to fix with your current configuration but, if you flash a newer nightly then it is built in

i never used one of the nightlies.. how stable is it?? and how different is it?? is it really worth doing it for a battery mod?? lol

[Q] CM indicator(right side) on a non CM rom?

Ive noticed through my weekly new rom flashes that CM roms have the soft green notification light on the right side(in the ear piece). Which is a GREAT idea when the phone is charging because at work i cant even have my phone on vibrate.
Im using Virus Infection RC1 right now and was wondering if it is possible to get this working on other roms?
Thanks ahead of time

I don't have the link, because I'm on my phone, but I think its in the themes and apps section. Search for "wimax notifier". It will allow you to enable that second led (wimax led) to use for texts and missed calls. I forgot the name of the dev that made it but you should be able to find it.

Use that one. The previous one is outdated.

Soft keys not turning off after 6 seconds.

I have the keyboard timeout set to 6 seconds, but after 6 seocnds only the keyboard backlight turns off and not the softkeys. The sofy keys turn off when the screen does at 30 seconds. Anyone else having this problem? I am running ACS ICS EI22.
Edit: it makes it hard to read a book or watch a movie.

Yeah, I think this changed with the Gingerbread update. Now the buttons are synced with the screen timeout. Bummer.
I have noticed this running the CM7 builds too, thought maybe it was a missing setting there but maybe not Kind of annoying when running the phone in the car dock at night.

It's fixed in newer cm7 builds.
Don't go looking for a new build though; while there are test ones, they are not public and will only give you more problems.

Any idea where it is in the stock system? Or did you have to do it at the kernal level?
Mine doesnt do this.
Screen Timeout=15 seconds
Keyboard Timeout=3 seconds
Ok, for some reason mine is working now. I'm using toadlife's cleanGB Rom and I just flashed his updated kernel. Maybe that fixed it?

WONDERING HOW TO FIX Reply
A fix for this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you to all the developers and irritated users like me looking for a fix.

It was found to be a problem in overclocking kernels. Non-overclocking kernels did not have this problem. Samurai just fixed this in 3.0.1.

Notifications toggle and weather

Is it possible to install this on a stock rooted rom? Could not find it
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
No, this is AOKP only.
There might be alternatives (I doubt they'd be as nice if there are).
Have you tried AOKP?
It's stellar.
thanks! yeah im running aokp m5 + franco m3... i like it but my stock ics (not as smooth) had better batterylife on idle.
maybe ill try an other kernel
thanks!

I personally rock Lean Kernel stables.
Have you tried the stock AOKP (faux) kernel or an updated nightly?
Or maybe even flashing the stock 4.0.4 kernel?
(In doing so...you'll miss out on overclocking/color/sound/fast-charge/etc)
Obviously something you'll need to find out for yourself...Not that you asked, lol.
As seen in an Android Police screenshot...
I'm asking this here, b/c I can't find a better place (and don't want to start a new thread). Does anyone happen to know how he installed the notification toggles seen below?:
The toggles I've found in the Market seem to appear below the date/settings in the notification bar, rather than at the very top, as seen in that shot...
Thanks.

That's a screenshot of cyanogen mod 9. You could do .smail edits and achieve the same thing on a stock rom, but it would be hard to find the right changes to make.

[Q] PAC MAN Issue

Tried searching here and in the actual rom nightly thread with no luck. I am running the newest nightly and whenever I pull the notification bar down ,the brightness goes all the way off. It only happens if it is a fast pull down or if I drag all the way to the bottom of the screen. Likewise if I do the same with the quick toggle pull down, it brightens the screen back up.
Like I said I am on the newest nightly, using nova launcher and ElementalX 1.4
Nexus 7 WiFi 2013 32gb
Thanks for any help!
*update* I also notice the same thing on my Galaxy s4, same rom and nightly for tmobile.

You might want to post this in the PAC-MAN ROM thread instead of here. You'll probably get better/more answers or help.
