I've been searching and can't find any solid answers. Every time I go into gallery it has to repopulate the thumbnails. Is there another program or way to cache the thumnails in order to speed things up? I am running ACS Rom eb13 with a class 10 16gb memory card. Thanks.

I've moved all the apps I could to my sd and still low on storage. Is there a way to delete other stuff on my phones storage?
Or move games that say they can't be moved to sd? Thanks

Do you have any apps that you no longer use? Have you gotten rid of the bloatware and unused Widgets? With a system level file manager like Root Explorer or via adb, maneuver to the /system/app folder and delete what you don't want, but before you do, know what you're deleting or you can cause problems. As a matter of fact, before doing anything, go into recovery and make a nandroid backup of your current setup so in case you mesa something up, you can return to the way it was. Finally, you might want to invest in a larger capacity card.

You can move dalvik to the cache partition. Also, what ROM are you using, it's possible on certain setups to be falsely reporting low storage.
Myns rom and how do i move the cache? Thanks

I haven't tried this, but, if you're using RLS5, there's a setting in the Spare Parts app that came preinstalled where you should be able to easily move the dalvik to the SD cards. Initiate the Spare Parts app, scroll down and select "Data Storage Option" and then scroll down and select "Dalvik-cache on SD Card. Again, I have not tried it.

If you have (or get) a2sd, you can do it from the terminal app.
Okay I think I have pinpoint a problem on my device. I would like some advice.
I'm on Synergy ROM....Amon Ra 2.2.1. I flashed Fresh 4.1 beta back a month ago and had the same problem.
When on a Sense ROM gingerbread, I loose Gallery. My SD card unmount everytime I go into Gallery or Mms and attempt to load a picture from gallery. Even when I open gallery via Camera...it maintains for probably a minute or two longer before it unmount.
Why am I having this problem? On Cyanogen and Miui it doesn't happen? Not at all. Is there something up with Sense and my SD card? 16gb class 2 sandisk. Or is there a general bug in the Gallery app on gingerbread sense. I have read about four people on xda with same problem over the past two months....they all conclude with reformat card. But it "only" happens in Gallery. No other system app or download app can reproduce this unmount issue.
Any advice helps.

Are there any big differences between RC2 and RLS1? I have reviewed the changelog and don't see any major changes. I'm not having any issues with RC2 and wondering if I really need to update. Thanks

No not really, the only reason I would is because its a stable release. Not just a candidate anymore.

Agreed and for some reason, RLS-1 is a tad faster than RC-2. You can boot into recovery, wipe cache & dalvik and then create a nandroid backup of just your data & your sdext (if you have your apps stored on an ext3 partition). Afterwards, if you decide to flash RLS-1, all you have to do after booting to your new home screen is skip the sign-in process, remove the default widgets from all 7 screens and then reboot back into recovery and restore the nandroid you just made of your data & sdext. When you boot to your homescreen, you will find that all of your apps and data are present and your homescreens are as they were when you had RC-2 installed. DO NOT DO THIS if you're going to from RC-2 to RSL-1 G-mode.
Thanks for the info. I haven't partitioned my SD card yet. Why has this Rom gone to the partitioning.

You do NOT have to partition your card to use RLS-1, however, I do not know how many apps and games you will be installing on your device. The CM A2SD script is built-in to Synergy so that it auto-detects an ext3 partition and cause your apps to automatically be stored there upon installation. It's beneficial in freeing up internal storage.

Thanks, i went ahead and partitioned. It only makes sense to have the extra internal room. Thanks for ur help.

Hey guys, I had a quick question on the RC2 God Mode Synergy Rom.
Is there anyway to turn the landscape mode off or flash something to turn it off so it doesn't switch between vertical and horizontal when I'm at my main home screen?
I like to keep the landscape mode available when I use the web browser, games, and certain apps, but the auto rotation when I'm at the home screening is kind of a pain esp. if you are moving around.
How does A2sd work with the stock evo class 2 card? Saw some posts that apps are slow on the slower stock sd cards.

I'm not sure with RLS1+, but there is a flashable zip that disables landscape mode for RLS1.

I have a 16GB class 2 card and I'm very satisfied with it and the speed in which my stuff is accessed. Synergy RLS-1 along with the DTA2SD zip that is found in the Synergy Updater has my device operating smoothly & responsive.

How do I keep android from filling up my SD card?? It has a android file full of cache over 6 GB worth. As soon as I delete it it starts filling it up again, that isn't why I expanded my micro SD.

Use a cache cleaner that clears SD cache. I use Cache Cleaner NG & have it run automatically every morning. I set it to use the old method in settings because it runs faster and seems to be more thorough.
It's probably one specific app that's doing it. Have you done anything to move your cache to your SD? If so, you may want to move it back to internal.

That is exactly what I did and it works wonderfully, thanks
