I'm desesperatly looking for a kernel for AOSP oxygen froyo 1.0.4 to set CPU frequency to 128mhz when screen is turned off and to record in 720p
Have you something for me ???
Well to record 720p that is down to the rom and Oxygen should. You can use Couttstech kernel. 2.6.37 and 2.6.38 work fine although .38 is RC. Please note that if anything messes up, it might not be able to run at 128MHz.
Why do you want to downclock so much? If anything, it will increase power usage as the CPU will take longer to carry out a task before it can sleep again, thus draining the battery further....

hello everyone
I've installed the Arabic froyo from here on xda just to get full flash support and I was surprised the videos playback from youtube is slow on both 360 and 480p and also the flash games is also slow
is this happening to everyone or it's just me. ...I mean is the hardware can't handle it or it's a software problem
thanx in advance

Kill all unnecessary tasks, and use Milestone Overclock program to overclock your defy to about 1,1 ghz @ 70 vsel (custom settings from menu, when you set them slide the slider all the way right).
That should do a little boost.
Hi, first at all i want to say that i tested nearly every rom & kernel combinations and still i'm not satisfied with the performance. Overall device is performing better (i'm running @1,4GHz - Stock Plus & DoomKernels 15-20) and in 3D heavy games framerate is higher for sure, but there's a lot of stuttering and sometimes games are unplayable (for example Backstab and Asphalt 6 with annoying one sec stuttering). On stock kernel game (Backstab) is running without any performance issues (only few dropped frames when there's a high draw distance) and the device itself is running "only" at 1GHz. Now something about DoomKernel - interface is not running smoothly (with simple 3D live wallpaper but 2d is ok) and i can give you another gaming example with MC3 - main menu is running at ~20 fps (and game itself is also stuttering) and on stock kernel/stock plus it's much smoother. So there is any fix for my problem or it's something wrong with my arc or what . Stock kernel by Sony > custom kernels? Something is wrong here... Thanks in advance and pardon about my english .
try playing on performance governor
I played with governors with no result ;(
Sent from my LT15i using XDA
------------
okay, now i'm gonna "stress test" every single governor available in kernel ; d
Bump!
I've added a video :<

Have you tried Stockplus Kernel? It's based on DoomKernel but has a lot of changes and tweaks. Some people report better results with it when compared to DoomKernel.

Hi, i'm using the franco kernel r66 nightly with android revolution 10 rom 4.2.2, The newest one now. Oc'd to 1.5 ghz with 700mhz min and interactive governer and i'm experiencing lag in the game need for speed most wanted. I have no tasks open and it feels really really slow, 0.5x slower, like the timer in the top right counting up is choppy. How can i get the performance that youtube demos of this game on the gnex has? The videos on youtube, they're playing it perfectly but im not playing it perfectly.
bump. help?
Have u tried lean kernel?
I have slimbean android 4.2.2 rom with Uber's latest kernel, full CPU OC and profile set at performance. But still need for speed most wanted runs on very low fps ~20 and doesn't get any more than it while it should be 30+fps. What can i do to boost its fps?
Hello, this tablet can play some 720p HEVC video without any problem, but when it comes to higher resolution as 1080p there is some lag etc...
i rooted the device, installed xposed, custome kernel etc, i was now able to see the frequency, and i noticed that if the cpu frequency go below 1800 mhz, the hevc video lag, so i think this device can play hevc well if the frequency stop moving like this...
The problem is that even if i'm using performance governor, the frequency is still moving from 2 ghz to 1.2, is there any way to make the cpu frequency fix ? thx
PS: sorry for my english
Use a custom kernel with O/C support and set the cores to max.
