How to save URL's in media player ?

Heading says it all.. How do I save my URL's in the media player. I hate to scan thru history everytime.
Appreciate if someone can share this with me.
-Thanks
I want to know this too? I have heard people creating a playlist file and then using the WMP to play this but have not been successful.
I used a workaround.. I created the links on the browser Favorites and sync them to my Dash..
If anyone is aware how to create a play list consisting of URL's in windows media player.. Please post .. Thanks

[Q] Playlists & Bookmarks

Where on the system are music playlists and browser bookmarks stored? I'm surprised the playlists are not stored along with the music files. Every time I flash a new ROM or restore a previous - I lose my playlists and bookmarks. I'd like to know where they're stored on the system so I can copy them to the sdcard for safe keeping.
Surely someone must know the answer to this!
Thought I would nail this playlist problem, but I'm still mystified. I created a "test.m3u" playlist file in my sdcard/Music/Playlists directory. In that file, I put the name of a single mp3 file from the sdcard. Saved the file, and checked its contents. I then opened the Music app and expected to find a playlist called "test" containing one song. But no such playlist appears.
What to do? How does one maintain music playlists through ROM flashes....?
Way back when I had my old hero I managed to find the bookmarks. It was an XML file if I remember right. I don't know about the playlists though. I found the info for the bookmarks on http://source.android.com under customization I believe.

Making Playlists On The Phone In Mango?

I know this was touted as one of the features in Mango i tried toying around with this and couldnt figure it out. I can start a playlist on the phone in mango, but the problem is after that one song, i cant figure out how u add more songs to that playlist has anyone had any success figuring this out?
I think that while the playlist is playing, you can go to different songs and if you hold one down, there should be the option to add to current playlist.

You cant add anything to existing playlist..
So suppose you like song A, you create a plalist and save it there.. than you like song B, so only thing you can do is create another playlist and save it there.. So say you like 100 songs .. you can save them in 100 diff playlist, but cant create one playlist and add all of them to that one..
Thats why is useless.
You can create playlist, but you cant make any playlist..
While playing a playlist, you can add more songs to the current playlist. You have to save the current playlist to keep the changes.
Big fail in that you can't remove songs from a playlist.
Thanks MS for making playlists intuitive and easy.

Problems with importing music playlists on Lollipop

Anyone else having problems importing music playlists ("m3u" or "pls" files) on Android 5.0.1 (Lollipop)?
Up until I upgraded to Lollipop, I didn't have too much trouble getting my music playlists on my phone. Most of the time, the playlists that I had created would just remain on my phone after an update. On rare occurrences when they didn't (ie: wiping the phone and switching to a new ROM), I would just copy the "m3u" or "pls" playlist files into the music folder of my SDCard, reboot the phone, and the Android OS would scan the SDCard during boot process and generate the music playlists in the internal format. This has not worked on Lollipop.
I have never understood why none of the music player apps on Android include a function to import and export playlists ("m3u" or "pls" files). This always seemed like a huge over-sight to me. For people like me that have hundreds of music files, and have created music playlists that we like to listen to over and over again, the idea of having to re-create them on a new device (or a new version of an OS) is a huge hassle!
I have found a music playlist editor app on Android. This app allows me to edit/modify them, but does not provide a way to import them into the Android OSs internal format (so that they can be played in other apps like Google Play Music), or a way to export the internal playlists.
Anyone know of anything that would help???

You have to convert the playlist to .m3u save it in a folder name playlist then Reboot the phone and it should show up.
Note:
When you reboot and check the playlist give it a few seconds for the media player to recognize the playlist. Hope this helps. Worked for me on my Galaxy Edge.
