Hello Guys
I have designed a glow circle battery for my own use, but I decided to post it here so you may use it in case you like it
If you like my work, please consider a small donation to help me continue developing.
Change log:
25.03.2011
-Created an XML that fixes the rotation glitch after each cycle. Works flawlessly
17.03.2011
-Reorganized the threat so everyone could easily mod his own framework. Follow the new installation instructions
-Added CWM file only with script so you can use it with your framework file safely.
-Uploaded new reorganized image packages.
14.03.2011
-added new charger images. -- Beams -- ( i might rework them in the next days) --
-added missing images for full charge and so on...
-I will modify tomorrow morning the threat, with new reorganised files cause it became a little confusing
03.02.2011
CAUTION:
Flash only if you have DOC's ROm, because some users stated that on Darky they had problems. Not sure why, because it should work - they're both deodexed roms. Do a BACKUP
-Added CWM files for V1, V2 - with percentage and clear at charging
-Working to a new animation for charging, a lot better than this one, but I can;t tell you when it will be ready because I have a lot to work for my school
02.02.2011
Finished creating charging icons and XML editing for animation. I Added two versions of the framework:
-Version 1 : loops the circle animation continuous, without showing the current amount of battery after each loop
-Version 2 : Shows after each loop the amount of battery
01.03.2011
I just created another battery with life indicators on the margins
INSTALLING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Download 3 packs: one with images of the battery (batt1 or batt2), one of the chargers (Glow, or BEAMS) and one of the charging animation images (with percentage and without).
2. Download CWM_update.zip
3. Place the files from the battery pack and charger inside your framework-res.apk file, in /res/drawable-hdpi.
4. Place the file from charging script inside your framework-res.apk file, in /res/drawable
5. put the modified framework-res.apk file inside the framework folder, of the CWM_update.zip.
6. Reboot in CWM.

That looks really good. How hard is it to do? Would you mind sharing steps of how to do it? I want to make one like it, but with heavier colors (less washed out). I'm on Darky's 9.3 b3 (XWJS5).
Thanks!
Very nice, using this and I'm enjoying. good job
Yes, I will post the PSD.
I created a new battery. Threat updated
hi,looks cool.will you also create the charging icons like this?
Step-By-Step Guide?
Hey Crisis,
Can you post a step-by-step guide on how to do that? Hope it's not too much to ask
i like your battery. what theme are you using, i like it?
So cool!
Many thanks =)
Maybe you should do the battery charging icons as well, for completeness.
I really like that transparent notification bar and that battery looks good too. Could you do version with a little bit more contrast, like brighter red, yellow and green.
And last but not least, with gingerbread icons your circle battery would look sooooo beautiful.
Nice work! Best Circle Battery yet. What about a version for 2.3.2 JV1?
I haven't installed yet gingerbread, but post the framework and I will edit it for you.
Hi Crysis21, I am not using Darky's rom but may I know whether my phone with below details can use your battery package #2? I like it so much.
If can't, what will happen if i insisted to use? Will my phone still be able to boot up?
Firmware version: 2.2.1
Baseband version: I9000XXJPY
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #32
Build number: FROYO.XXJPY
How do i install this?
@bryan.sc it should work on your rom. If the worst happnes, it will freeze at booting. If you want to be sure, sent me your framework-res and I will make it for your rom
@Timpppa you must replace it using SDB. Tight now I am working at the charger. I will provide a CWM file, and update.zip

How can I make my status bar transparent?
you need to edit framework-res.apk, and in the same time if you use touch-wiz you must have the 32 bit version, on 16 bit (gtg and other modified TwLaunchers) transparency doesn't work.
if you are using my framework, it has the transparent bar, but is up to your launcher to display it that way. If you want I will upload my twframework.apk too, if that helps you
will you create a charging animation for battery 1 ,too?or is this version for all two batteries?

Now I´m working on some little themed framework-res.apk`s.
This is my first try and maybe I will create more and upload them

All the modifications that are done to the framework-res.apk can be downloaded here framework-res-MOD-CircleBattery-v0.4.zip
For firmware version 2.3.26 I had to fix an xml file else it would not compile here is the MOD framework-res-MOD-CircleBattery-v0.5.zip
The cooked framework-res.apk and services.jar can be downloaded here
framework-res.apk-CircleBattery-v0.4-FW2.1.08.zip
framework-res.apk-CircleBattery-v0.4-FW2.3.20.zip
framework-res.apk-CircleBattery-v0.5-FW2.3.26.zip
Installation instructions
Needless to say, only attempt this if you are comfortable modifying system files. As we are using the SDE for this, the potential risk of bricking/ irreversible damage is low, but you should still have some idea what you're doing! (Warning stolen from fisha21)
unzip framework-res_vx.x.apk.zip and copy the framework-res.apk and services.jar to /sdcard/
with adb execute the following commands
Code:
adb push framework-res.apk /sdcard/
adb push services.jar /sdcard/
adb shell
su
stop
cp /sdcard/framework-res.apk /system/framework/
cp /sdcard/services.jar /system/framework/
sync
start
ATTENTION after the start command it can take up to 5 mins depending the number of apps installed because the dalvik cache must be regenerated.
Version 0.5
Fix to xml file to make it compile for FW 2.3.26
Version 0.4
Better charging animation for 100% battery full
Version 0.3
Better charging animation
Gradiant colors
This was tested on A70IT with firmware 2.1.08 but should work on any gen8 device with the same firmware.
Reserved for future use.

Thxs It took me 2 full days to figure out how to re-compile a framework-res.apk the posts on xda are scattered all over the place and nothing is very clear what the exect procedure should be. so.......
Today I finaly got some scripts together with apktools to automate the stuff.

Difficult. I can't find anything in the xml files that control the placement of the text in the battery. I'm looking in services.jar if I can fully disable the percent text.
you wouldnt need to add system text, just put the text as numbers within each of the 100 circle images you are using. its been done on loadso f other phones already you could probably just use the images from them.

Yes I know that BUT the default battery percentage will be overlaid on the images so still the same problem.
ah so that means that the mod as it stands already does have the % battery life in numbers in the middle? why didnt you say?

Sorry Need to add that part but if you look at the bugs it's mentioned there. Need to add it more clearly.
I'm working on a fix for the percentage but that means decompiling service.jar and hacking the davlik code.
Added v0.2 with the percentage in the icons instead of seperate text.
anyone know how this looks on a70 with pixel density 130? maybe a screenshot. the stock battery and wifi are nearly unreadable.
any way of combining the mods from fisha21's framework modifications and this?

I'll talk to him about it. He's having problems with the compile process at the moment I've given him some pointers.
i tried the UOT once again over a heavenly allready modified framework-res.apk and it made a beautiful batt-circle, booted:
BUT: all google apps and some apps in the notification bar crash immidiatly.
didn't try to clear dalvik for now - could help maybe.
maybe its because the UOT renames all dirs and the app to *-v4? and writes the animatated symbols to drawable-hdpi instead of mdpi?

Certainly, should be ready for you in the next couple of days!
Turns out the main issues I was having were due to Uruk 0.7. For some reason, Uruk 0.7 installed to internal SD doesn't appear to be compatible with framework modification (as far as I can tell).
Added v0.3 with gradient colors and better charging animation.
Version 0.4
Better charging animation for 100% battery full
Just curious - did you manage to get UOT to generate the mdpi resolution images, or did you resize the hdpi ones manually?

Awesome theme, its my favourite for sure. I would love to see a circle % battery icon and a rotary unlock screen or at least an aosp like unlock screen. My last wishes ( ) would be a different wifi and gps icon too. Cheers mate keep up the good work.
Looks great but I can't get it work on darky's 9.5 rom. It stucks at boot samsung boot logo.
Oh crap... So 9.5 isn't JVK...
is there a way to install just the extended power menu on my SGS (JVK)?
thank.
You need to have a deodexed JVK (2.3.3) rom first. Darky's is still froyo.
9.5 isn't jvk.

Hello Castaway1, Thanks for your amazing work. I don't usually like themes or changes done to my phone and usually keep it stock till I saw your status bar theme. Your work is well appreciated. I'm using Laszlo 5.2 and green is my favorite color. Are you able to make a green theme just like you did with the light blue theme? Either with both analog meters for battery and radio signal or just bar meter for radio signal and analog meter for the battery (or both so we can choose). But before you start doing this (if this is just for me, as maybe nobody else likes green), how do I go about supporting your hard work? I don't like doing electronic payment for anything, so is there a way to send you support by mail. I would be happy to support your hard work. Please let me know. I hope others are supporting your work as well. Thanks.

I present my new theme, saying that there are over 2000 pictures in the topic created by me, however there are other forum left by colleagues and others found online, all of them thank you for your great work.
I followed more or less the same line that had the issue before, as well liked and did not notice much difference
It's hard to explain what changes there, so what you look better and you will go see, but say that the line is very similar
He gave a little transparency to the curtain and the status bar, and that you think so comentareis
We accept suggestions for improvement
I hope you like the theme as it has been, this echo with the universal theme template 3.3 of Intronaut @ and @ Jrsoft. Thank you for such wonderful work and make things easier for others
Tested CriskeloRom TurkbeyRom V38 and V33 and perfect, XILA2 rom base.
I guess it worked in more roms but I have not tried it.
BlacColors v6.1 is housed in fileserver, since very fine Multiupload not going lately.
http://www.fileserve.com/file/XBzfX9v/BlackColors Theme v6.1 by Eladios.zip
Changelog v6.1:
Calculator icon changed
Changed camera icon
Universal Flasher changed the old, the new problems I was Turkbey
Added market 3.4.4. thematized
And more things I can not remember.
This update is for those who do not like the bootanimation and want the android astronaut, this is link: http://www.fileserve.com/file/8S3xKVV
This update is prepared for if we change the notification curtain, this is the link: http://www.fileserve.com/file/qMhdFBC
Tutorial to change the curtain:
Well after downloading the zip open it with winrar, open it again did not unpack. We will see several folders in the winrar open, now we have to follow this route:
System / app / SystemUI / res / drawable hdpi
you will see that there is nothing inside, now you have to take two equal-sized images and rename 480x800 images like this:
status_bar_background.9.png
status_bar_background.png
Well done this after taking the two images and drag them into the path specified (hdpi drawable), I repeat not copy and paste drag
winrar will ask replace and accept, accept and already we have the curtain that we want for our phone.
Now you only have to put it in internal sd phone and install any theme or rom, you know, Install zip from sdcard / choose zip / and yes, because we will have this by restarting our curtain set.
Remember to thank costs nothing, but it is highly gratifying to the author.
Now also themed:
credits
thank for their valuable assistance lexullde
goriet thank for collaborating on the visual aspect of the theme

@Eladios,
I've sent you a number of private messages asking you nicely to kindly remove my images from your theme. Seeing as you've chosen to ignore them I have no other option but to report this thread.
I'm sorry but play by the rules or don't play at all.
Little problem and how I solved it .....
I am on ciskelo 30 with black and blue theme and with some personalization made using uot kitchen on line......
Flashed this theme and it is VERY VERY NICE ... I want to keep but I had only one pr
problem the PHONE disappeared
using CW flashed the 3d dialer from criskelo and it was fine ... then I re-flashed this them and finally I had all working
THANKS it is the nicest I have seen around in a while
It is updated the first post with BlackColors v2 by Eladios
Later I will look good hanging is BlackColors v3 fully supports the new Jkay 13.1 and the 31.1 criskelo but also with the above .
Now the status bar icons a little larger as required by the new Jkay. Well well look better lol. And little things new.

Updated first post with BlackColors v3
thanks for yours awesome work.
@ eladios
I see your screenshots and you have not the .9.png patched
Draw 9 Patch Tutorial, 9.png images
V3, i just cant get it to work, i install criskelo v30, check if jkay v12 is removed, than install criskelo v31, statusbar is still there, install jkay v13.1, reboot, and statusbar is still there, than i install your v3, reboot and statusbar is gone.
I can only get it to work with criskelo v30 and your v2.
Any solution?
great job!
thanx a lot!!!!

Is your v3 going to work on Criskelo v32 with jkay 13.2 ?
I ask because of the statusbar problem.
