How do I flash a ClockworkMod recovery image via ADB?

I installed the latest CM6 nightly, but I kept getting bootloops. I figured I'd restore my nandroid, but I needed to flash ClockworkMod recovery to get it to work. I went in ROM Manager, told it to flash the recovery, got confirmation that it worked, but when I reboot it only goes to fastboot. I tried flashing AmonRA again, but it doesn't stick either. Please help me remedy this!
Edit: I was finally able to restore using ROM Manager. I just had to delete the /system one and restore it using Titanium Backup before it would flash. Delete this.

Flash 3.0.0.0 instead, there have been more complaints of later versions not working properly...

Reflash your recovery. If you can boot into the rom, use ROM Manager to flash Amon Ra, or reflash Clockwork, whichever you prefer. If you're just stuck at the bootloader, and can't boot to the rom, then as long as you're still S off, you can reflash a PC36IMG of recovery. I'll attatch Amon Ra. V2.3. Put the file on main directory of your sd card, boot to the bootloader, and accept the update. Then you should be able to boot to recovery.
Thanks, but I was using clockwork 3005, had to flash to 3003
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Clockwork often fails to flash properly for me. If you can boot up, just reflash Clockwork recovery and it will fix it. If you can't boot up, which sounds like your problem, just copy the file in the link in k2buckley's post above to the root of your sd card and let it flash from the bootloader, then boot up your phone and flash Clockwork again.

[Q]Bootloop into recovery

So after i flashed a rom on my P5200 i always bootloop to TWRP
and i tried to wipe all data but no use
so please someone help me
oh and i can access download mode
TWRP causes problems...at least it did mine.. Restore the backup (hopefully you made one) with TWRP and flash a different recovery, like clockwork mod (CWM).

i did not do a backup !!!
what should i do?
Power it off completely boot up in Download mode. Then connect it to the PC and use Odin to flash CWM on it.
For future reference, always make a backup before you do ANYTHING.

[Q] Stock Recovery 4.18.401.3 or 4.18.401.2

I'm attempting another go on getting back to stock on my HOX.
I'm looking for the stock recovery 4.18.401.2.
I've found a lin k in a earlier thread, but there I can only find the 4.18.401.3.
Does this matter? Can I use that one?
Am I correct, when restoring a nandroid back up, that I first need tot flash the recovery.img (and the boot.img) from the nandroid back-up, and after I restored the backup, flash the stock recovery?
Any 4.18 recovery will do. And yes, to restore a nandroid, flash the recovery that it's inside the backup folder, flash the boot.img, and restore from recovery the nandroid backup. Then u can flash the stock 4.18 recovery to go 100% stock.

So I installed the nandroid back up, after flashing the boot and recovery from the backup.
After that I flashed the stock recovery, but just no luck.
When I boot into recovery I get the custom recovery.
Also when installing the OTA ..401.04 update, it failes and returns to the custom recovery.
After the backup and flashing the recovery, I did not flash the stock boot.img.
Is that the problem?
Then you either flashed the wrong recovery, or you didn't flash it correct.
Flash this one
