Title says it all, where are sounds saved when you use the sound recorder in CM7?
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
I think they are saved right to the root of the SD Card, just made a recording and thats where it showed up.
Alright thanks.
I took a 30 minute recording, so I think its just taking a long time to show up when I browse for it from my phone.

If I was to even try this what file would it be stored in. I know there's the louder volume hack I just don't have money and look for an alternate way to sent the volume. Or is there even a way to do it through cdma or qpst

yes still does not seem to be loud enough for me
and thats only for in call volume not speaker
So there is no fix mod or hack.. would some like to make one for a price really interested in a mod

Speaker volume is way too low on its highest setting, would love
to be able to "hack" it.
Ed
And devs like to go at this maybe just the file to edit or an app or and adb command please calling out will pay for this
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
i would guess it's in the /system/framework folder
Not that I had seen there was nothing I really need a mod for this I live in a loud area ie city and I never hear my dam phone

uh yeah dude... you've already made that painfully clear
Yea well it seems your the only one that answers and no one helps so I will keep repeating that I will pay for such a mod personally made for the evo to mod volume
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
i guessing it would just be an edit like it was way back when on the MT3G. i dont see why this wouldnt work. maybe i can look into some old threads and experiment on my evo.
i did find kernel made my toast that does turn the volume up a little bit just not enough and if i knew more apps out the file structure and so on i would look into this n eddy mean 01 of the files in the system but i'm not that talented what i cn do is see if someone by chance know what file it is stored in for volume information i could figure it out from there

I'm using BCM ICS 4.1U2 and obviously the phone is a bit more busy changing apps than with CM7 as ICS is just more demanding on the memory. At least that is my impression/reasoning. One side effect of this is that when there's an incoming call, even though the phone starts ringing immediately, the actual phone app (picture of caller, buttons etc) needs a couple of seconds(!) to load. That is not cool. Is there any way to lock the phone app in memory to avoid this?
EDIT: found out that you can you can apparently lock an app in memory using a build.prop modification. I have now created /data/local.prop with this content:
sys.keep_app_1=com.android.phone

Will that be enough?

Well just create a file named local people and paste the content in my 1st post. Then put it into the /data dir. But - I still don't know if it will work as intended.
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda app-developers app
Could you please provide that file as many people would be thankfull to that?
Thanks in advance!

I don't want to sound rude but I think if someone can't create a simple file like this he should not tinker with build props...

I think you lock the wrong things, com.android.phone is for mobile network, for the dialer, i think is com.android.contacts.
I just noticed this now because I wanted to use the feature but my Rogers SGS3 can't take pics during video. The buttons not even there. I thought we were supposed to have that feature. Anybody else have that? Fix?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
I thought that while recording video all you had to do was touch the screen to take pics?
That just causes it to refocus on that area.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Are you sure? I don't think you can manually focus during video recording. Taping the screen during recording looks like it is refocusing the camera but that is in fact the animation it makes when it is snapping a still during recording. No sound, no sliding to the side animation like when taking photos. Just that slight focusing effect to let you know you it worked.
Check your gallary.
Not working, tried that. Just refocusing the video. You can see a button on the bottom right that says AF to establish AF again. No pictures in the gallery.

I am on rogers and can take pictures during video.
when making a video all you do is press the little camera icon beside the red record button
I noticed that it says nexus so iam guess your not on stock rogers?
I'm with rogers using a custom rom and that feature is there

is there an option somewhere to turn it on? Neither of our phones have the option.

Here's a screen shot. Hope it works......

That is odd. Sorry I was of no help. Not sure what the issue is and unfortunately I'm not on a stock rom so I cant dig thru the cam/settings to be of any help.
Can someone who is on a stock rom that is able to take stills while recording post a screen grab of their cam app to show what its supposed to look like?

I've seen pictures of what it supposed to look like. Just was hoping maybe there was an option I missed. Very frustrating.....
If you have anti shake turned on then the option to take pictures while video recording is not there. Simply turn off anti shake

I am looking for recomendations for "I lost my phone" apps.
Any feed back would be appreciated.
Thanks
Cerbus anti theft. Its $3, but I heard its really good. You can go on your computer, and you can find your phone on it through gps.
Also if you lost it because of theft you can lock up your phone, wipe your data, record voice, send the phone messages, and stuff like that.
Here's the demo video.

Will it also cause the phone to ring so if you misplaced it you can locate by sound? Will it turn the ringer on even if you had it on vibrate?
LookOut helped me find my phone. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lookout&hl=en
Lookout has a plan b app that can help you find your phone if you didn't have it installed. https://play.google.com/store/apps/...GwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5sb29rb3V0LmxhYnMucGxhbmIiXQ..

If your phone is lost then Plan B sounds like what you need. Based on the positive reviews it seems like a winner.
I use avast and it works awesome. Left my phone at home but thought I lost it used my buddys for sms command and and found it in 5mins

I lost my phone. I use Sprint Total protection. you can use the computer to locate you phone and locates it right on a map. its free and works fairly well.
I would recommend where's my Droid, really works. I have a buddy who lost his phone, next morning after partying he realizes he doesn't have his phone, luckily his sister installed Where's my Droid on it, good thing he had a screen lock, and even more lucky the heroin addict who took it wasn't smart enough to turn it off. Anyway, turned out to be about 30 miles from where we live, dude returns it, looking all burnt out, skinny as hell, veins all purple ...even tried to get money for him returning it. Lol.

I also prefer the mentioned Cerberus. It does GPS location, and sending alarms like most of these apps. The thing that stood out to me was its remote camera and audio recording abilities. Also, I use a secure lock screen. With cerberus, you can have the phone automatically take a picture using the front camera, if an incorrect pattern/password was entered, and then email that picture. Also, the app is fully functional during the trial period. It's kind of scary how much permission I'm allowing these types of apps to have, but it's a gamble I'm willing to take at the moment.
I'm using Zoner Antivirus

So it seems pretty dumb to ask this, but I simply cannot find the files anywhere. When watching a video with the stock Samsung video app, theres a screen capture button up top that's supposed to take a still frame of the video, however I cannot find where it saves these pictures. A Google search did nothing for me :/. Thanks!

It saves in screenshots for me but it lags and takes a while to appear, a restart usually makes them pop up faster for me.
Yeah for some reason it wasn't popping up before. I see all 6 of them there noe, hah. Thanks!
