Did you clear the market cache too? I use 'unistaller', its in the market. Its quicker than unistalling through the market and the apps dont stay in your app list
Go to setting, applications, market, clear cache.

I have tried renaming the marketupdate.apk in system/app but it still updates itself. I have tried freezing said apk with titanium backup and yet it still updates itself. I have a version of the market that I like but installing it everyday is getting old. How can I successfully keep it from updating on its own?? I'm on CM7.1 btw. Thanks.
Did you freeze the market or market updater?

I froze the Market Updater using Titanium Backup.
A quick search found me this

Hope this helps...
Froze that marketupdater and the damn thing still updates. I then deleted marketupdater and it still updated to the new crap market! What the hell?

I hate it. I can search for an app and then try to install it and it just sits there forever. But as soon as I install the older version and search for the same app and install it, the app downloads and installs right away. Sigh.

Yep, multiple times. I have installed the old version a few times now. I must have jacked with the wrong file or something cuz now the new version FCs when I try to download somthing and the old version closes as soon as I click the Market icon. LOL. I need to reinstall my ROM anyway. Fresh start.
It definitely decreased the visibility for my app. In that way I don't like it, but as a user, I got used to it.

Ok so for some reason when I try to buy some apps from the Go Play Market. They say I already purchased them but then when i try to download them they give me a error. Saying I haven't purchased them and fail. i don't have them installed. So I dont know wtf is the problem. I even did a hard reset but issue still shows up. There are a few apps that I want to buy but can't! Any idea what the issue is!

Try to go to settings, then applications, manage applications, market, clean cache, erase data, forced closed market. Then go to recovery, delete or clean cache partition, clean dalvick cache, fix permissions. Then reboot and google play should be working after that. Hope this can help you.

Any chance they're apps from the Amazon app store? Those show up as Purchased in my Play, but I can't load them. I have to load them from the Amazon app store instead. I break the market link using an app such as Titanium Backup or Ultimate Backup so they won't show up. If that's the situation, clearing market data makes them show up again.

This is odd, having 8GB free you should be able to install anything from the market. Try going to Settings>Application Manager and to the All tab, look for Google Play and clear cache, data, force stop. Then go back to google play and accept the TOS and see if this solved the problem.
To be sure, go to Setting>Storage and verify the actual free space on the phone.
Hope that helps, GL

I would assume even though its not luckypatcher related its still a problem similar to the one luckypatcher causes. If you go to /data/app i bet there is an odex file somewhere that doesn't belong. If you havn't already restored i would try that first. Just delete any odex files that dont have an apk to match

Are you rooted? If so I would do a titanium backup, then create a backup in CWM, wipe all your data and do a clean install, then using titanium backup re load your apps one by one until you find which is the problem application.
I have Aptoide for my S2, and I tried downloading an app (Clear Vision). When it finjshed , I tried to hit install, but it wouldnt let me. Now, when I try to install third party apps, I can't hit install. I have the P.A.C Man ROM installed. Help please.

be careful getting apps from sites especially if it is something that is free that otherwise costs money on the market the new thing is to embed malware in to a legit package [it runs what it should like the game it says it is] it just happens to have malware embedded with the game.
This would make sense as it would want to try to stop you from installing AV software and it may not be able to stop the market [they have been adding AV stuff and other security slowly] so it stops you where it can.
Now not to say some other issue happened that caused this but it is VERY odd that right after you install an app you are supposed to pay for, but got for free and all of a sudden your device just doesn't allow software installs.

The thing is though it won't install ANYTHING I get outside of the Play Store. If I wanted GameGuardian, it wouldn't let me install it even though I had it before with the same ROM and everything. The only fix I found was to completely reinstall the ROM, and I don't want to reinstall all the apps again.
