deleted backups and they are still there..

You could go to 'batch' then delete all backups, then run a fresh backup, I do that once in awhile

From the Titanium Backup menu tap 'menu', 'batch', go down and tap 'restore all apps with data'. If you don't have the donate version then you have you manually agree to install each app which could take some time.

Thank you very much
I'm doing that now but it seems to keep hanging for me.. It'll do a bunch and then just hang on one. Right now it's hanging on 'Contacts Storage 2.1-update1'

Same here, I bought the pro version of Titanium Backup just so I wouldn't have to manually install all of my apps, but when I run any batch operation, the program hangs on the first app.

Labor day drunkness made me mess up my Evo

I rooted the other day and am running CM6 on my Evo. I don't much like ADW launcher, so I installed Launcher Pro. Every time I reboot my phone it defaults back to ADW. So today, I decided to buy Root Explorer and delete the APK for ADW in my system/apps folder, along with a couple other apps that I don't use. Without doing much research (drinking), I proceeded to delete some APKs. My phone will now not boot. It is stuck on the boot animation (which is beautiful).
Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can fix this issue? I promise to never delete anything again, and stop drinking.
Thanks!
Love, a drunk stupid californian
Yeah hold the volume down +power button while the phone is off till you get to the white screen and select recovery.
reflash from there.

well what you should have done is:
1. don't delete something if you don't know what it is
2. simply go to menu>settings>apps>manage apps>adw launcher and hit clear defaults
now to fix it... boot into recover wipe everything and re-flash
HAHA yes thank you. I forgot about my nandroid. Extended memory loss is one of the greatest side effects.
So do you know the proper way to remove apps using root explorer? Or will CM6 trip out if I touch any of its preloaded apps? Thanks for the help

I understand this. I did read to delete the apk in the system/apps folder on multiple articles. It's a completely legit way to remove apps according to many people.
And of course I tried to clear ADW's defaults, if that worked I wouldn't be trying to delete it. It starts whenever it wants to despite me telling it not to.

You would need to be rooted to uninstall qik. Then you should use Titanium Backup to uninstall it.

OK.. I tried installing Titanium and it doesn't let me.. I AM ROOTED but I don't have any roms loaded, just a stock rooted phone..
All help is appreciated!
If you are sure you are rooted its simple get root explorer and go to system then app folder scroll down to the qik apk and then hit the R/O button at the the top to give you permission to delete files and then highlight and delete it.
Now this will only work if your phone is rooted... double check that since your Titanium method did not work...

As a newbie, I downloaded EVERYTHING, lol, and now starting to get serious with the phone and cleaning things up.. (as I am sure like everyone)
I downloaded so many different apps, but keeping the ones I know I will use
fyi - this forum has the answer to damn near everything and before you post anything and these guys go crazy just look it up to the best of your knowledge... There is also a list in here of apps safe to remove incase you want to remove more crap. I advise you to do a nandroid of your current rom before you starting playing around with your phone though... Good luck and welcome aboard...

LOL, is a nandroid a different term then "backup"
If not, please explain as it seems everyone uses different lingo, yet its just to make people that are new to this (ME) confused
and I'm coming from windows, where we call "ROMS" .. "Kitchens"
Yes it is but its done on the phone and not with outside software. Hey I am coming from a Diamond and a Touch Pro so I know but this forum has it all. I was here and PPCGeeks... if you are unsure of anything just google it with xda an the end and it normally finds you help here... google how to do a nandroid xda... see what happens..
Yea please backup/nandroid whatever you want to call it and then mess with your phone.... so if you mess up you can nandroid back to when it was working... do this before you make any changes to your phone.. IMO

Hey guys i backed up all my data with my backup pro before upgrading my e4gt to fd24 and now i cant get it to run. it keeps force closing on opening and i need my data!

Did you clear cache/data in app management?
(and I assume make sure the app is up to date, try reinstalling from the market...)

No, I mean go in app management, where you see the details of each application, clear cache/data there. (of this app specifically)
Also, like mentioned previously, TB works well for some kinds of data recovery. What is it specifically that you need? (ps, take a deep breath. remember, with Android, nothing is truly lost on a clean install, except sms/mms, and app passwords that need them.)

Sorry, at work, typing on my phone, can't do a walk through. I'm sure one of our better members will step up to the plate. (did you uninstall, reinstall?)
But no, TB will no recognize MBP archives.

Mine works fine, except that when the restore process is finished, it locks up the phone and I get a blue LED. However, once I uninstalled and redownloaded from the Market, I had no problems.
Make sure you are restoring the same way you backed up... APP, Data, or App + Data.

need help restoring stock browser

hello
first of all I did search, but couldn't find anything that would help, sorry if I didn't search well enough
for the past few days, everytime I turned my phone off or it died on me, after turning it back on, the browser would disappear. id click on a saved bookmark on my homescreen and it would say "application not installed". usually I just go to my titanium backup and restore it. but today I went to restore it, and it wont restore. the TB app just stays stuck saying "restoring app+data". I tried changing the app processing preference, but still the same. TB had also been doing this with the google play store(not the new 4, haven't gotten that yet), but usually if I just turned the phone off even while it was still stuck on restoring, when back on the play store would now be installed. Not so with the browser
is there any way I can get this to work? and if not, can someone please help me get the latest stock browser apk for the gnex gsm? I think its version 4.2.2-573038
Thanks!!
btw, im on rooted 4.2.2 but no custom roms, just "stock" root

a little bit of both lol. Really though I did search, primarily for a solution to the TB problem not so much the apk.
Thanks for the link though!
Do you know why TB might be doing this though?
As for Chrome, in my experience its complete crap compared to the stock browser. if at least they had transferred over the quick buttons it'd be better, but they didn't even do that
EDIT: ok that didn't work. after clicking install says app not installed
I understand, I don't like Chrome either xP
Hopefully that works.

Take that apk, put it in system/app/, change permissions to match all the others in there and reboot. Delete the original one in that folder first if you like, otherwise, just overwrite it. I use root explorer to do this sort of stuff but I'm sure others can do it too.
