Hello All,
I connected and used vlc control and remotedroid from my phone to pc with no problems. Then I installed logmein, which works fine but now I cant connect to vlc or remotedroid.
This is even when logmein is closed down. My gut feeling is it may be to do with ports but thats where my knowledge ends. Can anyone please advise?
I've been googling for days!!
Bump for help please!

I have an XDAiis and have the following error when trying to stream bbc radio over a wifi connection:
'Response or data from server timed out'.
Judging by another post I am not the only one to have this problem.
WIFI works fine for everything else (Browsing, MP3's over Network, Video Over Network) so I don't think it is a signal problem.
Any ideas?
Tony

Thanks Pilgrim. But that was the thread I mentioned in my original post and as you'll see velatron has the same problem I do even after following your instructions.
I assume there is something we are both missing but can't see what!
I've tried playing with the settings for this, but not yet tried the older version of the software. God knows why it wont play ball.

I have the exact same problem on the Magician.
is this streamed from your pc? or is it the bbc streams?
if its not the bbc streams:
I stream my hifi connected to my pc via a composite to 3.5mm jack lead and can stream tv,radio (FM/AM/DAB),dvds,videos,ect to my blue angle without a problem. It works great!! I have a TV tunercard in my pc other than that I dont have anything special. Just download windows media encoder 7 find a way of getting your radio connected pc (maybe connected to the line in with a cable like me) set it up for 128k stereo and click start. it works with windows media player 9&10 as well as realplayer
its the BBC im having trouble with.
Still having this problem. Even when the phone is connected to the internet by cable through my laptop --> there shouldn't be a bandwidth problem!
Hi
Has anyone got mDesktop working with the HD? I've tried the trial but mDesktop just doesn't connect. No error messages or anything.
Anyone else having these problems? Their website seems to have zero help!
Thanks in advance!
2.03 runs fine for me, on Windows 7, with HD connected. Think it requires Activesync running, which is always on on my device, during USB connections.
Thanks for your reply.
Still doesn't seem to work. When I plug my phone into my PC, it does open mDesktop automatically, it just doesn't connect.
A box does come up saying the connection has taken a long time and do I want to continue.
Any help?
Has no one else got this working?
works.. on vista.. very fine.. autoconnecting.. no probs
I'll try reinstalling then.
Is it just ment to connect without me having to do anything?
Hope it's not too far off topic, but http://www.mymobiler.com/ works fine on HD (and it's free).
im looking for a bluetooth remote controller like the ones in the sony ericson phones
main use will be for power point presentations and controlling my laptop on the move
i have searched and the only one i think is the one in jaylee any other options?
Although I have never used it, i can remember that some piece of software like that called "asus remote presenter" was bundled (or installed already) on my ASUS P535 PDA... however, I think the P535 uses a different BT stack, therefor I'm not sure if that would run on the HD anyway... but maybe it helps you to find something...
regards jan
There is an AMAZING bit of software that does these kind of functions, a friend told me about it and now i always install it into new ROMs. Its called....
GRemote http://gbmsoftware.com/
its at beta at the moment but still works perfectly. I only use it WiFi so im not sure if you can do it via BT
any mirror for the gremote?
any other options?
I'd like an app just like the SE phones as well.
Great benefit of the SE app over the GRemote for me, is that the SE app already works on the login screen of Windows XP. I used to use my SE k800i to login to my HTPC, so that I wouldn't need a keyboard.
As far as I can see, GRemote starts up after Windows login. Apart from that, it seems to do the trick and works fine.

Try this one here: MobileRemote
Works fins on both my laptop and PS3.
MobileRemote is good...
does not require to install anything on PC/laptop.
connects to BT as HID , so it can be used anywhere.

Wow, works like a treat!
The demo version doesn't allow to save pairings, so I had to buy it to see if I could log in Windows without use of a keyboard, but it did the trick
My PS3 can't seem to find my phone. It's just scanning and telling me to wait. Anyone know what could be the problem? I have no problems connecting to other phones via bluetooth, they can always find me.
i advise MobileRemote - works like a charm! I also tried gremote - the free version - and it crash several times.
That works great for a HID, But to expand on this does anyone know of an application that can work via bluetooth or wifi that can connect to an controll a windows media player or winamp remotely? One that shows the track info ad allows you to browse the library etc would be fantastic. It would allow people to be anyware in range of the wireless network (like having a BBQ outside) and control the music.
RSC Remote Mobile - uninstall problems
Hi Remote Mobile User,
I installed RSC Remote Mobile on my Touch HD but it does not work. My PS3 cannot find the HD. Now I cannot uninstall the software from my HD. I tried it on "normal" way using the option under windows and I tried it with the options under Active Sync.
Is there an other tool available to uninstall software from the HD?
Please help me.

Hi Guys,
I would like to use my Arthemis as a webcam on my pc. I use linux as the primary os. Could you please explain if this is possible?
Thanks
Lhrt
for windows there is the program called webcamera plus from ateksoft (no freeware)
this program works with a app on the phone and a driver on the pc, maybe it is possible to get this driver working on linux? (i'm not a linux guy )
Problem is these require Activesync installed on the pc for the cam to work and Activesync will not work on Linux.
Googled my way into this thread, and I have the same problem.
I also got an idea here. Couldn't the phone simply stream the video over the network or bluetooth? In this case all it would take is basically a "http v4l" driver.
What do you think?

Yeah, I think that will do the job. Do know any app stream the cam to bluetooth or wifi?
Ok i have tinkered with it, but have not been able to get the Windows Remote To connect to my home pc, im at a loss and any help?
What i would like to do is be able to use my Excal via bluetooth or via wireless to connect to my pc and basically use it as a remote keyboard/mouse to run stuff..
I would prefer something free, or if you do know a program that has a trial and works as a trial that would be much appreciated.
Basically if anyone is smart enough to write a program, i want to use via bluetooth, the center button as a left click and the arrows around to move the mouse as a basic operation. Maybe add in a key to access the windows key, so i can activate windows media player and navigate it.
I am on windows 7x64 if that matters.

yah logmein is not working on mine, and i tried tightvcn and its even worse ....
Finally found the first thing i do not like about windows7 home premium... they left out letting you run a Remote Desktop Host on it.
