I really like the setup I've got going. With the newest savagedzen kernel and the build 3. Only problem I've got is when I turn off wifi, 3g does not reconnect. I have to toggle mobile data on/off. Can someone help me with this problem please.
Thanks in advance

new rooter here, quick question. I just rooted 2.1 with the stock 2.2 froyo rom using amon_RA'S recovery. now i want to take off amon_ra's recovery and put clockworkmod's recovery so i could use rom manager. question is, how do i go about doing that? please if u could give exact directions because like i said i'm really new to this. any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks 4 ur help!
I believe there is a guide to all this. You should check it and see if that could help answer your question(s). Best of luck

not sure, but worth a try
i think you can just download rom manager and hit "flash clockworkmod recovery" at the top. tell me if this works.
Do I have to wipe first?

Nope. Just download rom manager and there is an option to flash clockwork mod as your recovery. That's what I did. No need to wipe or anything, it does it instantly from the app.

I'm using Fresh 3.1.0.1 (haven't updated to .2 yet) with Netarchy's kernel.
Everything requiring root works, 54 fps works, as does all the normal stuff (camera, etc), but with all of the Sprint junk removed. Simple but exactly what I wanted.
I have tried about every Rom based on the new gingerbread leak and for some reason 3g won't work I always have to use WiFi. Please help

I'd suggest ruu then reprovision data services. I believe you can flash the leak without wiping userdata.
Although data settings are in the nv items, it may be a Rom issue.

After flashing the roms, did you go into the settings menu to update your profile? Are you using the default kernels?

I have cricket flashed to it last one I tried was fresh EVO beta I even flashed flashed 3.5 radio pri and nv and because I'm flashed to cricket it won't let me go in and update profile and prl

Try this: Do you have a nandroid backup of a previous setup in which 3G worked? If so, nandroid back to it and double check. If 3G works, great. Now, if you still want to try one of the Gingersense leaks, download the one from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1035438 and place it on your SD card. Now go into recovery, wipe EVERYTHING except the SD card itself and then flash the rom. Hopefully, it'll do well for you.
Hey guys i need help. i have a htc evo 4g flashed to criket. i do have clockworld recovery installed on it, and i need a rom that is sense 3.0 preferred but just a rom where criket services work as in pic send and recieve. because every rom i flash my mms does not work. thanks
Every rom you flash your going to have to reconfigure it for mms since your on cricket. I recommend Shooter E3D nice stable rom

The normal ##8778# doesn't work on Fl16, do I have to go back to ICS then upload custom PRL or is there another code someone knows of?
What carrier are you on and its ##data#

I'm on sprint of course. And I'm not trying to access that menu I am trying to access the ##8778# menu.

I think that the code you are looking for is *#*#8778*#*#, but it doesn't really work on FL16.
In order to change the PRL, you will have to do it via PC by using the code that evo3d6 gave you (diag mode)
When i was on fl16 i was able to change my prl by doing ##3424# (##diag#) and i was able to switch the usb mode to CP there.
You may have to also flash to an ICS modem to change your prl if that is what you're trying to do. Then flash the JB modem back when you are done.
Edit: QPST wouldn't work for me on JB but I flashed the ICS modem and then it worked. Saved me from having to flash back to an older build.

Seems to only be a few of the leaked modems that are causing issues with manual prl updates. Not entirely sure if its just the modem or if its a modem+firmware combo that causes it. Some wouldn't write at all and some would write but not stick after a reboot. Most likely it's a combination of the modem and the firmware giving a conflict somewhere. I seem to recall it happening when the modem and build #s were different eg FL16 modem on FK23 rom etc
I like to break stuff!

Quick question then..I've seen people say flash to a tw ROM then update prl then flash back..the issue that I have is that the aosp ROM I'm on has cwm recovery and the tw ROMs I have are on agats? Seems that its a very tedious process and was wondering if there was an easier way.
Thanks

You should be able to do your recovery from AOSP's cwm. Agat's kernel has cwm as well . I just ran an Agat created restore from a WFTN cwm about 30 min ago

There's instructions inside the thread already. Just after you're done flashing the ROM and it asked you if you would like to reboot. Press no & then flash the T-Mobile modem. And then restart. & when it said twrp suggested its because cwm would keep freezing the aroma installer. I used philz touch (cwm based) & it worked fine. Just install it & if it freezes pull the battery & go into the recovery and retry to install it again. The first boot up during the setup wizard. Skip through it and when you exit out of it you're 4g will come up. The APN's are already set for it. That's about it

Thanks, I had some problems at first setup as I was not able to talk with anyone but no signal problems were there too. Weird one huh? It was fixed after second flash. I'm wondering if it would cause troubles if I overclock my CPU. and 1gb of ram is used by the ROM itself. Freaking MONSTER
Are you on the 3.1.1 build? If you wanna flash that on t889 gotta flash dn3 v1.0 and then dirty flash the 3.1.1 version to get it to boot. In aroma check n7105, note 3 launcher, pen window manager and xposed installer. Worked great for me

Not yet because i can't even make any phone calls either. Where the signal metter shows its a circle with a line through it. When i go to about phone and status it shows baseband is unknown. However when i revert back to 4.1.2 tweaked rom my signal comes back just fine and data works like anything. Just with internatioal roms i cant make calls, receive them or have data connection. Yes i do have my EFS backed up

Works well with t889
No issues!
First did Dr. Ketan WiFi patch
Downloaded N7105 3.1.1 (LTE)
Recovery> Choose N7105>
After Installation selected 'No' to reboot and installed T Mo Modem (T889UVUCMK7_Modem-Dec_9_13)
Reboot
Took 4 mins for first time setup
Did OTA Update to 3.2
Rebooted
A Min now
Downloaded build.prop editor
Did edit in Model number to SGH-T889 from N7105
Done!
If nothing else works, you could also try app selinuxmodechanger from the app store. Open and set to permissive.
