the attached framework jar is for 2.36.405.8 base
many thanks to Krzysiec for helping me with layout and graphics.
Enjoy
EDIT: Sense3_LockScreen-0.4.zip is a flashable zip for 2.36.405.8 DHD roms. note that it may not work on current rcmix because its framework is different.
thanks all, but i dont want to change ROM, i want sense 3.0 features on stock-ROM.
@lingtong_z, i already tried that, ... , it put me in a bootloop, had to restore
Hi,
Pretty sure you can't simply install the sense 3 apps over stock. However if you download Kingdom v0.1 you'll see the .apks in the system\app folder of the zip file.
how can i add sense 3.0 weather to the ARHD 5.1.3???
im 98.9% sure you can install sense 3.0 components on stock-ROM.
Go to the Android Revolution Rom, you have some of these addons, and check krysieck's post too.
I'm 100% sure you can't just install these on a stock rom - the java classes won't be set up for one and the framework will be wrong too.
Just don't install the version 0.2 CRT mod - causes reboots onscreen flip
That'll teach me to be impatient to install these mods! Looks like I'll be doing a full wipe and reinstall, instead of just the patch. And then try to patiently wait for the APM & CRT mod to be ready and confirmed bug free, I really want the CRT mod working!
Thats what im saying, if you modify some files in the framework and the java classes then it could work.
and if it couldnt, how comes other people have it working?
for those wondering, i did manage to add the sense 3.0 lockscreen and message apk to a stock, oxed ROM. It took quite alot of modifying.
Now i've just got one more step to do, to make the answer/reject lockscreen work.
i'll try with that tomorrow.
I've searched and tried looking for the thread that talked about this. I'm running Insertcoin Sense rom and I don't like the stock dialer and contacts apk. I would like to use gingerbread's apk and I need to find the right one to replace my current ones.
This step is new to me, so I will ask. Can I just use Root Explorer to replace those apks? I've seen how they do it for the Samsung G, by just pasting the new apk into the system app folder and removing the stock ones.
Thanks for your help.
can anybody help?
Here you go, I just extracted it from the AOSP rom. May I suggest if you like the look of gingerbread rather than sense then just flash a AOSP rom.
That's what i've done in the past but I like some things from sense that aren't in AOSP roms. Thanks for the links.
Hey guys, I'm trying to alter a ROM by taking all the files necessary from another ROM and successfully replace and run them.
I'm trying to take the phone apk, contacts, music player, and messenger from a doubleshot rom I have and put it on another sense 3.0 rom.
I just dont know what framework or lib files associated with each ROM.
Little help?
P.S. These aren't my roms and I found them both on Virtuous.
I just discovered BNC-GIO-v1.0-R2 rom and it looks quite promising. But most of stock apps were trimmed out. I wanted to put in again Memo but was not able to do it by copying it's apk to system/apps with root explorer and giving the apk all permissions. Does anyone know if there's another way to install stock apps on this rom?
cheers

It won't work unless it has the Samsung TouchWiz Framework like all stock ROMs have. I'm not sure what Delanoister based his rom off of, but I believe it's based off of CM7 and not the official 2.3.6 firmware. I think that BNC-GIO-R1 is based off of the official 2.3.6 firmware, so you can try that and the stock apps should work...
Hello all! I've tried searching/posting in other forums, especially the MIUI forums, but I can't seem to get the help that I need. I am on an MIUI v5 3.8.29 ROM and the camera that came with the ROM does not have the quality and settings that the Touchwiz camera has. I would like to somehow install the touchwiz camera, is that possible? I have gotten different answers from different people. Some saying it is possible because MIUI has touchwiz framework and some saying that it isn't possible because MIUI doesn't have touchwiz framework. Well, which is it?
I have already tried downloading a stock deodex touchwiz ROM to try to transfer the camera over, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. There are a couple .apk's in the stock ROM that might pertain to the camera/gallery and those files are: SamsungCamera.apk and SecGallery2_Galaxy.apk. This is the part where I am stuck. The file in MIUI is named Gallery2.apk and there is no other file that looks like it could be the gallery and/or camera. I've tried deleting the Gallery2.apk in the MIUI ROM and replacing it with the SecGallery2_Galaxy.apk, but it will not install to my device. It keeps telling me that install is unsuccessful. Same goes for the SamsungCamera.apk. Has anyone ever done this before or could possibly guide me along? It is very important that I have a good camera for work and this stock MIUI/CM camera just isn't cutting it.
Nevermind. I guess this doesn't work because I am running MIUI with CM base not official, which is TW based.
