Hi so I rooted my DHD (2.2 rooted radio s-off software v1.32) but I lost read/write arabic & arabic menu so I'm trying to add it but clockwork mod v3.0.0.6 say's "Amend scripting is no longer supported" I tried the files from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=839870&page=2 is there a way or I'm screwed?

Sorry if this is in the wrong area of the forums.
I try to install the Hutchison 3G UK Froyo 2.2 OTA update on my HTC Desire but when it is installing I get the error icon and the message:
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
My Desire is rooted (used unrevoked) running on the stock rom
Please help, anyway to get past this error will be appreciated.
I fixed it by clicking install later moving the zip to root (easier) then booted into recovery, clicked install zip from sd card, install zip from sd card and then choose the update and followed the steps from then on. Hope this helps.
Somewhere along the process I changed an option and disabled checking for a signature
Still have root until reboot
3 UK ROM & androd 2.1 update - Help please

not sure if they used "update-hero-generic-2.73.771.73-signed.zip" or update-hero-generic-2.73.771.73-rooted-signed.zip. Does it matter?
I now get the 3 UK OTA update to android 2.1, I want to use this and keep all the 3 stuff, but when I try to install, I get the following;
Build : RA-hero-v1.5.2
Finding update package …
Opening update package …
Verifying update package …
E:No signature (660 files)
E:Verification failed
Installation aborted.
What am I doing wrong? I'm really very new to all this.

After i update a zip in new ClockWorkMod Recovery(3.0.2.8)..no reboot in menu..

Amend scripting (update-script) is no longer supported, was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5. Please switch to Edify scripting (updater-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packages.
It seems we must use Edify scripting instead of Amend scripting..
Softkey can work in ClockWorkMod Recovery ....Go back option in menu is preferred..

Now i want to get more undervolting for the desire CPU.
I want to open the file with editor and change the volts for every freqency.
i know that i need 0.025V steps

can i unpack the script , rewrite the script , pack it , install it normaly , test the stable of desire ?
Can i use the smartass after the undervolt script what i rewrite?

Amend scripting (update-script) is no longer supportet.
Amend scripting was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5.
It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to the ClockworkMod 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery. Please switch to Edify scripting (updater-script and update-binary) to create woring update zip packages.
Installation aborted.
Recovery is 4EXT 2.1.0 final
Just tried this things u asked and i get this error. maybe somebody knows the problem? or a fix?
i think u can use AmonRa 2.0.1 to get this file working cuz 4ext doesnt support old update scripting....

i just tried for my own with amonRA 2.0.1 , the other recovery (4EXT 2.1.0final) doesnt support old scripting....
now i have -100mv over all frequencies (i see it under VDD_Levels and i use smartass

CWMR tells me "amend scripting is no longer supported."
I couldnt find older version of the recovery and ROM Manager can't download CWMR 2.* .
Any suggestions?
Hehe same problem. I try to modify this ROM You find nearer infos about this with google search for Amend and edify.
To fix this there is a optional zip file called tweaks-gb-2-signed.zip

This mod will install the default boot animation to the data area, where you can replace it with a custom one if you want to. It also allows hosts modification (you can use the AdFree Android app - do not use the symlink option in it). You will need to re-apply this mod if you do a full wipe. 2.0: Add ext4 support.

So this zip is the key to the ROM but don't know how to use it lol. I think it should to if you take all files from the zip and put them in the rom
