What is the error ?

thanks alot bro.

I'm using it on my Magic.
Working fine!
Thanks for sharing!

Worked on my mt3g 32b. Thanks for sharing.

So THIS is where Ginger Yoshis's splashscreen came from. Lolz. Does 2.3.4 have an "official" splash screen? or is this device-specific?

This one is G1 specific and I am using it since 2.2 Froyo days, if you want to use it on any other device you will have to change the
Desc.txt file from the bootanimation.zip
Sent from my Dream/Sapphire using Tapatalk

works fine thx

SparksMod Themes Optimized Using PNG Crush Brute Method

This thread will be simply for SparksMod Rom Themes. The latest rom is based off of CM6.1.0-DS, so it will work on the stock base as well. So enough talking and lets get to the info:
Credits for the base Theme goes to Cyanogenmod team which can be seen here: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Compile_CyanogenMod_for_Dream_and_Sapphire
Credits for the theme(s): http://www.sdx-developers.com/sdx/dj07-black-chrome/
Credits for the png script used to optimize the theme and boot animations goes to Lithid on the cyanogenmod forums:
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/user/2311-lithid/
Windows animations can be seen here. All of the transitions are from here except for two .xml's: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=814072
Crisvillani added in two xml's that are needed to work on cm6.1.0 framework, which are slide_in_left.xml and slide_in_right.xml
So what are these and what do they do?:
Well they are for the pulldown bar that allows you to swipe your notifications away either to the left or the right. So far I have only seen them in cm6.1.0 based roms. Without these, we would not have that function and would result in soft reboots if not present.
I ported this theme over to work on cm6.1.0, otherwise will not work as is for the Samsung Moment phone
Instructions: Do a Nandroid Backup! Reboot into recovery and flash the theme, that's it! It will auto-reboot for you and boot your phone up as normal
Themes:
BlackChrome-First theme, hope you all like it
This theme also included my latest SparksMod wallpapaers

Bootanimations
http://www.mediafire.com/?mmr9sbn6cplm6g4
CM Theme: http://www.mediafire.com/?mmr9sbn6cplm6g4
Usage:
Step 1:
First cd to your folder that you want to crush. All I do is drag the folders that I want to crush like drawable-mdpi ect to my home folder. That way the only thing I have to cd to in termial is the folder itself. /home/$cd drawable-mdpi
Step 2:
Copy and paste this code into termial and press enter. It could take awhile for it to finish, and uses the Brute method which is the best method of compression available, enjoy!
Code:
#!/bin/sh
for png in `find $1 -name "*.png"`;
do
echo "crushing $png"
pngcrush -brute "$png" temp.png
mv -f temp.png $png
done;
thank u again sparks...
Finally
So glad you did this I hinted around for a while. Good your builds needed their own theme section when I get to make one for the new build I'll send it to you to add to the OP. Thanks Sparks
I want everybody to know Sparksco is one of the most helpful people on XDA he goes out of his way for people he doesn't even know all the time...Hit the thanks button often he deserves it!
just a question, can u just flash this through recovery? or terminal, if so what commands to flash this through terminal

You don't need to do anything in termial, just flash it through recovery as long as you are on cm6.1.0-DS or any other rom based on it will work fine. And it doesn't matter what radio or spl your on

Fantastic work, loving the second one (sbootanimation.zip) only problem is the size, the first and last letters of ANDROID are missing so only see NDROI.

Thanks shadowch31. Check the sbootanimation.zip now, its fixed for D/S phones.
But this is not my animation, so I wont take credit for someone else's work. I just modified it.

So thanks again fella, appreciated.

Hey Guys,
I did the following commands and rebooted,
How do I enable this?
Thanks

You don't have to enable anything. When you reboot, you would see the animation after the G1 logo.
I redid the terminal commands again,
rechecked if I uploaded the right zip folder into sdcard.
But it is not working. HTC dream with CM6.1.0-DS here on mine.
Thanks
Heeter
Huh, thats strange, Lets do this step by step:
1. you copied bootanimation.zip file on your root of sdcard. (if using sbootanimation.zip, rename it to bootanimation.zip)
2. you went to terminal emulator
3. you typed su and entered
4. cp /sdcard/bootanimation.zip /data/local/
5. reboot
and you are not seeing the animation? let me know if this helped
DOH!!!!
Forgot to rename the sbootanimation zip file to bootanimation.
What a Homer I am...........
Thanks a million, virajss
Heeter
good its working.
I have uploaded some Honeycomb bootanimations: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=973924
THANKS!!
Thanks for the port! Very nice work and I appreciate the effort you put into it.

[PATCH] DSP Manager for Sense 2.0 5/30

Sense 2.0, NOT 2.1 as of yet
ALL PROPS GO TO exidler for this MOD
So i searched and searched only to find one DSP Manager for Sense that worked for me --> DSP-DHD
It works flawlessly but it uses Amend scripts.
I have managed to use this tool Amend2Edify to convert them to Edify scripts.
They work flawlessly.
I don't use Stereo Bluetooth headsets so I unfortunately am unknown as to whether or not this problem is persistent.
Tested on;
Orange Sense v.1.0
Royal Thunder v1.2
Royal Thunder v.2.0
Stock MySense
All what you do, you doing on own risk, I'm not responsible for any damage!
2.0
Backup libaudioflinger.so and libaudio.so from /system/lib/ before continue
This patch will break dolby and srs features of preinstalled music player
2010.11.29 This patch also breaks working of stereo bluetooth headset, but in in call bluetooth headset works well
I am NOT the developer of this, Just simply sharing my knowledge with all others who's speaker is also messing up.
Anyone else willing to Attempt this, Share your results!
BTW I am also willing to convert other scripts if you'd like.
Thanks.
- Install patch using Recovery
Download DSPManager.zip
Copy it to phones sdcard
Reboot to recovery
Wipe Both Caches and apply this update.
**If you receive a 'Signature Verification Failed' error just disable Signature Check.
- Uninstall manually (using adb) * you must have S-OFF with ENG HBOOT
Connect phone to computer using usb
Open adb shell (run adb shell)
Remount system as read write (run in shell 'mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/mmcblk0p25 /system')
Then you need copy to /system/lib/ on phone backuped files libaudioflinger.so and libaudio.so.
If you backuped it on computer, then locate they and in backup folder run
#adb push libaudio.so /system/lib/
#adb push libaudioflinger.so /system/lib/
if you backuped files on sdcard, then from adb shell run commands
cp libaudio.so /system/lib/
cp libaudioflinger.so /system/lib/
rm /system/app/DSPManager-DHD.apk
then reboot your phone
If this has helped, all that I ask is that you hit the Thanks button here and over Here THE OP.
Thanks alot. I have been waiting on this for a while.

I just wanted to know where can I find this version that drew posted.... I've been looking fit it with no luck.
Sweet, I was thinking of doing something like this, but you beat me to it... AWESOME!
One suggestion, change your thread title to like [Patch] DSP Manager for Sense 2.x etc etc (date)
so it's consistent with other threads and easier to find
Thanks again.

[BOOTANIMATION] Galaxy Nexus!

well guys time has come for us to have the *supposedly* ICS bootanimation
youll have to download the zip to your sd card and move it using rootexplorer (or anything similar) to system/media and replace the bootanimation.zip thats already there if you are in a AOSP ROM, after that just reboot and enjoy
if your AOSP ROM i dont remember the path for sense and MIUI but just copy and replace the bootanimation.zip in the right path
heres a clip of what the ICS bootanimation looks like:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYRM4nCMWCk&feature=player_embedded
Looks pretty gnarly
Sent from my brilliantly modified HTC G2

Phone & tablet versions of the Nexus Prime boot animation
I worked out almost all Phone & tablet versions of the Nexus Prime boot animation when i received the leak few weeks ago.
Have look at my post in the Android Themes section for more details & instructions.
Here is the link. Tell your suggestions...........
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1294970
i stil havent seen the oficial GN boot this. so i stil am in doubt if this is the real deal.
working great on my nexus S
but it's kinda boring compared to the original nexus S boot animation
I like that one
So if i wanted to modify this with my own images would it matter if i dont have the same amount of images ?
So...I'm guessing this only works for those that are rooted and have CWM on there phone?

[GUIDE]Rooting your phone...from your phone [ALL US SGS3]

Rooting your phone...from your phone (what?!)
DISCLAIMER: I do not expect anything to go wrong as I have personally tested this. However, YOU are choosing to make these modifications to your phone so I DO NOT take responsibility for any damage that may come as a result of using this. If you come back and point the finger at me, I will laugh at you.
If your phone is not an SGS3, this MAY still work for you. I take absolutely NO responsibility either way.
Prerequisites
The following files are attached to this post for convenience. Download and install the apps, download and extract the zip file somewhere convenient.
Superuser by Koush(MUST be this one. You can change it later if you so desire.)
Terminal Emulator by Jack Palevich ( MUST be this one)
Zip file, extracted somewhere convenient

THE GOODS
These generic names will be used:
/path/to/motochopperDir - This is the full path to the extracted motochopper-mobile DIRECTORY or FOLDER. Example: /sdcard/motochopper-mobile (will vary depending on where you extracted the files).
NOTE: After running the script, Motochopper may or may not print "Failed", but the exploit DOES indeed work regardless of this. Make sure you reboot for changes to take effect.

Download the attached zip file AND both apps.
Install Terminal Emulator and Superuser (use a file manager, navigate to the downloaded .apk files and click on each file to install them).
Open up Terminal Emulator and type the following commands. Press the ENTER key after each command.
Code:
cd /path/to/motochopperDir
cat setup.sh > /data/data/jackpal.androidterm/setup.sh
cd /data/data/jackpal.androidterm
chmod 755 setup.sh
./setup.sh /path/to/motochopperDir
From there, my setup.sh script will handle the rest of the process. If you are still unsure, see my sample run below.
Sample run (files were extracted to /sdcard/moto)
Code:
cd /sdcard/moto
cat setup.sh > /data/data/jackpal.androidterm/setup.sh
cd /data/data/jackpal.androidterm
chmod 755 setup.sh
./setup.sh /sdcard/moto
